Let me preface by saying that I haven’t played Guild Wars 2 since October. It took me a bit, but I finally managed to do it on a regular basis without much difficulty. Hell, I did it while I was buzzed/drunk! All I can say is, up your game! Practice, get better and stop complaining. It’s not as difficult as some of you make it out to be.
Yeah, a lot of stuff is a bit out of whack in my opinion. I’m particular fond of killing a dragon and only receiving a couple hundred karma. I just took down a DRAGON with dozens of other people over the course of like, 20 minutes and you give me roughly the same amount of karma as a regular event? Really?
You get individual pieces and they’re one time use. After that, you’ll need to use Transmutation Stones.
I need 15 characters to post these images.
Love the color combination. Blue is always a good choice.
Finally saved up enough for the T3 Cultural helmet and boots. Bit of a mix and match. I usually alternate between Celestial/Gold, Celestial/Blood or Celestial/Royal Blue. Unfortunately, the cloth bit for the T3 helmet has a murky color palette (not the case if you use white or black).
My guardian, Celestial Prince.
Just don’t make me farm the same set twice if I don’t want to. I have enough things I want to do in this game thankyou very much.
They don’t “make you”. You’re the only person who take the decision of having 2.
It’s very easy to see why ArenaNet did it this way: Gem Store.
funny how I got 100+ transmutation stone and never ever used the gemstore. They must have forced me while I was unconscious or something right?
I completely agree with your first point, but Fine Transmutation Stones (which are required to transmute level 80 equipment) are more difficult to come by. Not that I really care either way, as if you plan out what gear you want to have, buying Fine Stones isn’t that big of a deal.
You’re complaining that you can’t have two sets of armor with the same skin? One skin for one piece of equipment. Makes complete sense to me. Want two separate skins? Get the required money/tokens to do so.
If it wasn’t for orichalcum, I’d rarely set foot in the risen areas. Like WasAGuest stated above, the enemies aren’t difficult in the sense that it’s an honest to god challenge. Having mobs that spawn at a ridiculous rate (often times right next to you as you’re running), are faster than you, can pull, stun and bleed is more annoying than anything else.
They’ll nip at my ankle and I’ll just turn around and go, “Do you really want to start this? Really? I’m just trying to mine some ore!” Smash. It’s only a challenge when it’s like, 12v1 and you’re constantly stunned/confused. No kitten. It’s difficult to enjoy a zone that has almost zero down time and repetitive enemies.
Right? I’m glad someone else agrees with me. I was pumped when I saw The Juggernaut as it looks like it has some heft to it, but attaining a Legendary will take awhile. And yes, let’s harp on about weapon realism in a game where we fight dragons and can wield magic. Why not have both styles? Variety is the spice of life.
Er, they reset just fine for me in Frostgorge Sound.
Probably because most people want to save their Karma for when they hit 80, instead of “wasting” it on items you can buy on the TP for next to nothing.
It’s ridiculous that this is still an issue. All of that effort for an item that doesn’t even do what it’s suppose to do.
I love swimming underwater as it’s beautiful and it adds another dimension to the game, but I loathe the combat.
I’m glad other people agree. Ever since the first CBT the human animations have irked me. They’re really poor in my opinion. After I hit 80 on my human thief, I made an Asuran mesmer. I love their animations, but once I got to level 50ish, I just couldn’t stand being so tiny. Pity, as it’s actually ENJOYABLE to move around with them. As stated above, the Sylvari have a strong, athletic stride compared to humans. Their idle pose is also a lot “manlier” as well. Human males are goofy in practically everything they do, it’s as if they spent zero time working on them. It really detracts from my experience, but I imagine it doesn’t upset most people. I’m a bit picky with those sort of things.
I also wish you could choose different movement animations like you can in Aion, that would be fantastic. For example: In Aion you can buy a Ninja-esque animation pack that alters your running, jumping, idle animation (and a few others I believe) to that of a ninja. There are a couple other styles as well and you can mix and match (say you want the ninja jump, but another running animation) and would add a lot the personalization of your character AND profession.
