Here is what I think is the closest face you can make for Link in GW2, its my 30 min rough sketch along with his gear…all he needs is a different sword and shield but thats all I had atm.

the vitality in there is pretty nice but the svanir rune is just to amazing it gives you an extra chance in a fight and I think that just makes it way better because of that

lool yea I honestly didnt know what to do with my video, this is my very first pvp video (havnt got to make one in the past because I had a poop computer before). yea lool I agree but im just in love with my killer instincts/marvel vs capcom 2 sound effects ill just tone it down next time. oh and the reason it was like 30 mins long is because I really wanted to show the effectiveness of this build for the first time all my other videos will be like 10-15 mins. ;o

that looks like it could actually work, looks like it could be great for grouping and spvp stuff but isnt it kinda scary without the infusion of shadow trait? or does the extra initiative from trickery make up for it?

“Those runes weren’t as expsnsive as I thought. they sell way under the mats price. No one must use them. I would think they would be great for glassy builds in PvE since it’s a free save.
Anyway, swapped out a p/v/t ring and my p/v/t/ chest for zerker of each (to mitigate ruby orb dmg loss). Gave up 120 power, 1200 health and about 4% critdmg%. Gained 36 per, 45 tough and of course Iceblock (cost me about 10g total).”

The svanir rune was actually cheaper then whats up now a while back actually lool I just tried it one day and was in awe.

I rather have this rune then a dps rune because it just adds lots of defense and second chance, lol also the ice increase duration actually works with the elementalist steal so those stats arent totally useless haha. Most of my dps comes from my full zerk jewels and traits 4k crits are good enough for me really imo.

rofl yes Iceblock has a mind of its own, Iceblock does what it wants. I remember for about 30mins strait it wasnt saving me at all as soon as I switch to my build with more vitality but then it fixed itself after awhile (I think it was the dots that killed me threw it around those times), but yea its awesome and im surprised no one really used this rune lol

Big effing disappointment. I came across it one day while doing spvp stuff and I was ready to scrap svanir for it if it worked the same way as iceblock..I was thinking you were actually able to move while your mist form and it goes off reliably but nope :C Stiv pretty much summed it up.

yea its pretty awesome but I prefer to use it while im in a group just because my Mango pie gives me regen for just doing nothing and since I dont have regen on stealth trait (which is pretty awesome) mango pie gets the job done almost as good.

@stiv yea imo the svanir really boost my survival and its good for when those burst glass cannons catch you off guard

@CachoDM same runes but sigils are different because of the para one not working in spvp so atm I just use 5% damage on the sword and fire on the dagger..also energy on my bow

^^^^^ exactly, when your getting jumped by 10 people and 1-2 of them is a weak old man I think going for them is the smartest thing to do

wow thats insane how you mention that build because I thought I kinda created it on my own while experimenting around with my build, but when I tried it..it felt kinda MEH because of losing the mug trait lol I have no idea why but it just wasnt the same.

Also yea I love the regen on stealth thing too but either way I use Mango Pies (Gain health every second +70 vitality) food. Its not better but it does the job done and also heals while im out of stealth.

lol thats actually funny how you mention that because that actually happened in my video but the block of ice saved me more then I could get mad at it honestly. You know when sometimes you go for a stomp even though people are swinging around and aoeing around the downed person? yea it saved me from killing myself over my uncontrollable bloodlust.

yea and if you use a stun break you get right out of it (ive done it a ton of times in my video). Also what they fixed back then is the fact that you could sit in that state and still capture nodes in spvp, that is the only thing they changed about it if im not mistaken.

when you say small frys do you mean players that dont have skill that arent too great or? if so I actually found a few good 1v1s here in there recorded ill post soon..but I dunno what to say lol 1v2s 1v3s+ and 10+ people targeting me while I kill someone is kind of a challenge.. did you watch the entire video?

Second, the build is really just all about helping thieves survive in a battle. You traded high output damage for survival thus allowing you to stay longer in the heat of battle. Most of your opponents don’t know what to do when faced with a thief that continuously hides and blinks.

Honestly you cant fault me for that, most of the player base (pvp wise) in GW2 are pretty horrible :C and as SBI just got knocked down a tier its even worse… lol

I think for s/d builds 10/30/30/0/0 is probably optimal. Same gear and damage as yours but 30 into shadow provides very high survivability (4k heal plus 2 condition removed per 4 seconds stealth from every CnD). The acrobat tree pales slightly in comparison for the purpose of killing through daze locking and autos while maintaining own hp pool to reappear out of stealth.

Aside from my opinion thanks for the cool vid and post!

I tried that build, and the thing is with that build is I feel fat(less fast) and even more dependent on stealth. If you miss a CnD or your stealth skills are on cd you only have 2 dodges and a far less hp pool.

If you saw my video it shows me dodging all over the place inside of a zerg, which wont be as easy with the 10/30/30/0/0 build. One thing I really like about 30 shadow arts though is the stealth regen..its pretty sick but Mango Pie does a good enough job for me when I mix it with these builds.

Also IMO vitality > toughness for a thief at least

Basically for every 90s cd you become invulnerable if you get down to 20% health for 5 seconds it works well with the last refuge trait and it gives you a high chance to get away.

Also if you save your shadowstep or shadow return at the right time you can just blink while you are invulnerable during that 5 second duration lol its fking great.

Before you try these builds you must train in 100x gravity and study my awesome video because it takes some skill to use these efficiently. Brief summary; what you want to do with this build is build up your might with dodges and conserve at least 6 ish initiative for max damage, not as hard as it sounds really, this build is also what you want to start off with because it has more hp and way more room for mistakes. Also daze lock to the butt as usual.

Best Food to use: Superior Sharpening Stones (Gain power equal to 6% of your toughness, Gain power equal to 4% of your vitality…it can also be used with other foods at the same time) Bowls of orrian Truffle and Meat stew ( 100% chance to gain might when dodge) or Mango Pies (Gain health every second +70 vitality) if you want to be more tanky

Brief summary; This build is for all you high crit damage junkys out there, its no glass cannon but it hits very hard and has great survival, if you know what your doing that is. it’s less forgiving if you get hit and more reliant on your svanir rune to save your butt when you really mess up. Oh yes and daze lock to the butt as usual.
