UPDATE: Launcher finally updated itself, now patch DL is stuck at 68% for the last several minutes… sigh

I’ve been unable to update or login since the patch. I have no server assignment on my shortcut, just straight gw2.exe. Launches, then starts to dl at about 5kb sec then stalls out and gains a connectivity problem. This has been ongoing since yesterday. All my other online games (WOW, SWTOR, STO, etc.) are fine and play smoothly. Therefore, I can only conclude that the problem is on Guild Wars’ end.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

OK well this is a HORRIBLE change that should NEVER have been made. Our guild already paid the price for the vault transport perk, only to have it jerked out from under us. Since our guild is TINY we will never ever earn the guild merit badge required for purchasing the Vault Transport at the new, shiny HIGHER cost. TERRIBLE change, UNFAIR to small guilds.

PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK

I agree, this change is HORRIBLE and punishes smaller guilds like mine, which will never, ever obtain any of the guild merits due to our tiny, tiny size. WHY WAS THIS CHANGE MADE? Our guild ALREADY paid the price for this perk and now it’s been jerked out from under us.

PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK OR ELIMINATE THE GUILD MERIT COST.

Otherwise, it’s just unfair to small guilds.

Agree, the 8 bit midi load screen music has GOT TO GO. It sucks, it’s not funny and it made me not want to play until this “event” is over. There is a thing such as overdoing April 1 ya know.

When looking at recipes from karma vendors or otherwise, it cannot be determined what the finished recipe will produce. Unless one memorizes all the buffs and their names, it is tedious.

Please allow players mousing over recipes to see what will actually be produced by the recipe. This must be an oversight because the way it is doesn’t make any sense.

Armor should be sortable by TYPE not just SLOT.

Consumable goods should be properly sortable; they currently have categories but they don’t make sense. I.E., food only produces alcoholic beverages.

Search function is BUGGED. If you want to search for a Large Fang, for instance (or a specific type of ANYTHING) you need to type fang instead. Typing exactly the name of the item you need produces an ENDLESS LOOPING SEARCH. This bug has existed since before launch.

Also… why do players have physically to walk their toons to the AH to pick stuff up? It’s not mailed to you because…?

Second having a dedicated minipet slot that can be activated/deactivated. Another suggestion that only makes sense.

1. Please allow Rangers the option to SAVE pet names. It’s tedious having to rename them all the time.

2. Please allow all players the option to be saved to the login screen in their street clothes. As the main value of in-game costumes is the aesthetics, it only makes sense.

3. Please allow all crafters the ability to deposit into a collectible category, ingredients and items they create (i.e. dowels, cooking ingredients, insignias, etc.). As these things are necessary parts of whatever is crafted/cooked and all other components are storable in this fashion, it doesn’t make sense that all components are not.

4. Please consider allowing players to swap right-side bar utility slots in combat.

5. Please appropriately mark the minis that spawn from holiday presents as “veteran” or “elite.” They are so obviously overpowered it’s silly to pretend otherwise.

6. Please consider allowing players the ability to annotate the map with text or iconic markers for their personal use. I realize this borders on an addon but if it’s in game, who can complain?

Thank you, Arena Net and NCSoft, for this mindbowingly beautiful (the vistas alone are worth the price) thoroughly enjoyable game, showing players a new, cooperative, high-spirited alternative to ruthless competition and meanness. As an 8-year plus (still playing!) WOW player, GW2 is a breath of fresh air.

Second this, for some reason there is a “ding” when you SEND a chat message, but not when you receive one. Not really helpful at all.

Lame, in fact. Need a sound when you RECEIVE a message, even if you have chat turned OFF.

Specifically, crafting materials should be sortable by profession. Please do this!

Please add a “ding” or “bell” or some sound to alert you when you get a whisper, even if you have the chat box turned off. An audible would at least alert you that a whisper is coming in.

Also I would love to see an option to display whispered conversations in their own pop-out boxes.

My $.02… all crafting ingredients should be directly accessible from a crafting station without requiring the intermediary step of taking them OUT of bank storage and into inventory. This should apply for both crafting known recipes and for discovery.

So… WHY???? I pay REAL MONEY for gems. I exchange GEMS for GOLD and then find I can’t share my in-game currency with my husband? I sell stuff on the AH and can’t send the profits to someone? REALLY, BLIZZARD? (yes, I said Blizzard because any hopelessly dumb mechanic in-game is a something Blizzard would do…)

Please GET RID of this unbelievably stupid limitation, it’s pointless.

What account transfer limit?
Trading in game is done through the Trading Post which does have some issues but is not such a problem any more.

You should be able to simply mail items and coin to your friends and relatives using the in-game mail system (or you can pass through through a Guild Bank if you have that upgrade and the permissions to both deposit and withdraw). We have not come across any limits to using this method to exchange things in game.

It’s based at least partly on how much money you’ve earned in the game and Trading Post profits do not count toward this total.

It does get easier as you level and earn more but it is frustrating early on. I think this is a method to cut down on people selling in game gold for real money.

WHY BOTHER? You can buy gold IN GAME for stupid GEMS; now they won’t let you use the gold you get for exchanging gems?

Yeah, try it.
I tried to mail 35 silver to my husband and I got hit with the stupid account transfer limit. COULD NOT SEND. Says it’s “for my own protection”

Seriously, how dumb.

Can’t even send my hubby some money; can’t trade in-game.
