Your not the only one been trying to get a decent group for months now to no avail.
I’m also in the EU and my time zone is GTM+1
And can play between 18:30 and 00:00

I play mostly Zerker Herald or healer druid with Minstrel armor and nomad trinkets so alot of toughness, planning on making That less.

next to that i got the following with exotic equipment.
lv80 Tempest (zerker)
lv80 Thief (Zerker)
lv80 Warrior (Zerker)
lv43 Engineer (Got condi armor ready)
lv52 Necromancer (Don’t know what to do whit him yet ^^)

Also got a private TS3 server.

Hallo i’m Venevan and i’m looking for a full raid squad that’s playing raids consistently.
What i’m generaly looking for is ofcourse people with decent skill but more importantly friendly and calm i don’t want to join any group that rage after a few mistakes.

so what do i offer you ask.
I got a private TS3 Server so we use voice chat.

I play as a direct damage dps Revenant or as a Healer Ranger with full ascended equipment ofcourse.

I’m a good at making strategies it’s basically the sole reason i play videogames because i enjoy doing so, i can even make pug groups if need be but i do prefer someone else to take the lead.

My timezone is GTM+1
im online for raids during 18:30 to 23:00 on Monday to Friday
on the weekends i may also be online somewhare between 12:00 to 24:00.

I’m also open for pug groups

Introduction

[Raid] The Raid assist is an open English speaking guild of dedicated teamwork minded players. so are you 18+ years old? do you have a lv 80 with ascended/exotic armor? whisper me.
Where in the CEST timezone (UTC+2/GMT+2)
And are most active on the weekends 11:00 – 23:00 and on Monday to friday between 17:00 – 23:00.

Also our TS3 server is ready but closed until the first raid wing is released.

What wil we be doing.

We spend several days per week in Raids.
Ranked pvp for the legendary backitem (ask for more info).
Living world and its achivements.
Gathering Mastery points.
Events (Haloween, Super Adventure Box, Etcetera).
Fractals of the Mists
Weekly guild hall Party. \o/
More to be added later.

Things you need to be eligible for a raid squad.

Have a level 80 character.

Have at least one full set of Ascended equipment.

Have an acceptable mastery and understanding of the English language.

Have a positive attitude.
We want people with patience and to have fun with, not people that get angry over one thing and leave.

Working headset.
TS and stuff

Also do some proper key binding and learn your character’s profession.

The rules

Standard code of conduct stuff (AKA Play nice).

No leaving during raids.
Disconnects can happen and we take that into consideration, but if thare is no other good reason for one then this can mean a kick from the guild.

Gear checks are mandatory.
We don’t like it either or even want to force it for that matter, but it has to be done for raids.

Be there on time.
We are going to make an agenda so that everyone can play together without time constraints.

Listen to instructions given to you and ask questions when needed.

Achievement Points “MAY NEVER” be used as an entry bar for a raid squad.

No point taking rune of the mesmer. The duration inrease is capped at 100%, so MoC is enough. The rune set can’t raise it further.

i’ll test this at launch of HoT you might never know maybe its capless.
and if it is that would still be a 6 second daze.

It’s not capless.

Also, why would Quick Draw be better at 6s? Why not 8? It’s the same thing, since the rune reduces it to 8s. Tail Wind and Furious Grip are 9s ICD, but Primal Echoes is 8s. They should all be 8s.

Have you notice why all the weapon swapping sigils are on 9 seconds instead of 10?
i don’t have any proof on this but i assume that if i where to constantly weapon swap.
that they wont activate due a mere millisecond difference.
maybe its the same for traits so in order to remedy that they have to be 1 second shorter CD .

that would make a 7 second CD optimal but a 6 second second give more breathing room in my opinion. (Celestial form and Skill rotation related long story)

It looks good overall but why no mallyx? Though his elite and anguish aren’t quite good as it use to be, you can still find them useful for the other skills, one providing resistance to avoid blinding(main one to avoid) and other condis, while the other gives confusion and removes boons.

The invoked legends that are currently placed are placeholders.
I’m swapping trough the legends constantly.
All my other weapons are berserker.

Sword 1: Sigil of Cruelty
another 250 Ferocity if i get all stacks while wielding swords 1185 ferocity total.

Sword 2: Sigil of Energy

Shield: Sigil of Strengt.

Hammer: Sigil of nullification & Sigil of energy
Same as staff

I also swapped to a different set of runes.
have multiple sets of trinkets. (Cleric, Breserker, Sinister, and Cavalier.)
And have ohter food buff items.

Im making this build around Raids.
I also have a dedicated healer Druid just in case i need one.
Im on 1800 HealingPower With 40 benevolence but i’m considering on making it full Nomad.

2108 power
1224 condition damage,
655 ferocity.
39% critical hit chance (+10% each second becaus of Manical Persistance).
100% might duration
93% torment duration
100% posion duration
80% burning duration

Im still working on it.

Grandmaster trait “Quick Draw” with “Rune of the warrior”
i was planning to go with this for a two staffs build but im it seems that the quickdraw trait is on a 9 second cooldown.
would be great if it was a 6.

Celestial form 3 skill known as “Lunar impact” with “Rune of the Mesmer” and Master trait “Moment of Clarity”.
This would result into an 8 second daze on a 5 second cooldown.
I don’t think this is game breaking but to me it seems a bit too powerfull for pvp.

warrior and thief are both good dual wielding for Leveling and dungeons.
Warrior Axe/Axe and for dungeons Axe/Mace (for vulnerability).
Thief Sword/dagger and for dungeons Sword/Pistol and Short bow for ranged.

In theory you can also use the same ideas the make a Direct/Condition damage hybrid DPS.
You can replace berserker rings whit zealot or magi rings same result different stats.
But i want to keep the weapons on assassin stats myself i make my characters around a theme, there personality, and fictive lore.

Im working on an offensive tank/support based on the information found here.

My main goal is to focus on sword/sword, staff, rune of the defender, and a few specific traits.
Swapping from DPS to tank to support on the fly.

Im using the Warrior proffesion as a placeholder.

One of the Invocation trait-line traits multiplies Critical hit chance by 1.5 including the Fury boon (Fury must be applied to activate the trait), And two of the devastation traits grants combined “300 Ferocity” when wielding S/S otherwise its 150.

Allowing me to place around 1200 stat points in other stats and still have a decent direct damage focused damage output.

My issues are whit the damage and bulk stat ratio.
Minimal critical chance (27%) whit fury (20%) must be within the range of 70%+ witch is 1483 precision or 1336 whit Sigil of accuracy or 1233 whit 25 stacks on Sigil of perception.
Runes of the defender are a must for me they just work too well whit the Revenant due so many blocks on short cooldowns and that Ventari Bubble shield makes the 1 workable.

I dont mind getting rid of some healing power this is yust a template to work around.
and if the improved healing is still bad i can always get rid of it.

give it time its new and everyone yust wants to yolo it and explore the map.
I myself have made screenshots of the entire area so i can come up whit better stratagies.
Arenanet only needs to do some changes that wil better promote the gameplay i have written above.

Also a small reminder its better to go strait for the treb lane and keep on to that one supply you get at the start to rebuild your treb if your going for a warder role.

i find that the guards need more dps i know arenanet dont want them to be hard or something but some better bulk and support damage cant hurt babysitting them is a hassle.

After playing a decent amount of matches and i have to say it is rather fun to play, even tough people are rushing it at the moment (fun but… not a good idea).

I have seen people doing these bad things.
*Only spawning doorbreakers and leaving them unprotected to be picked off one by one by guards and trebshots.
*Not protecting guards, this causes the “creeps/minions” to breakdown doors way too fast.
*Not channeling mist essence, i had to fight off 2 heroes and they have allot of health taking almost a minute to kill even
whit a high sustain damage builds.
*Not using the trebuchet, it has a clear view on the supply depot and kills waves fast.

So here are some quick tips for now or when the expansion launches.
*Crowd control, boon removals, stability are a must have.
*Bunker builds are next to useless on this map (no capture points).
*Trebuchet is important keep someone on it at all time until both your doors are broken. (trebuchet respawn cost 1 supply).
*When at the lord take the guards around him/her out first they can do a decent amount of damage.
*Grab the mist essence fast they are useful.
*having a skill that revive,rally,res any will do it makes your lord allot happier.

Some makeshift roles.
*Warder
protects/use trebuchet, kills minions, heroes, and pushers.
*Pusher
Kill guards,enemy trebuchet, protects minions and get supplies.
*Roamer
Walk between warders and supplies and getting mist essence (doing any of the other roles tasks if possible).
*Runner
keeps running between supplies and minion spawn.

Terms
*The role names
*Lanes: trebuchet/treb-lane (TL) and assault/push-lane (PL).
*Trebuchet: treb
*Mist essence: Mist
Doors(Door)
*NPC’s
Door breakers (DOBR for short or minion/creeps)
Archers (ARC for short or minion/creeps)
Guard
Hero
Lord

Now some general gameplay and strategies.
At the start of the match split in 2 groups
Early game.
Group A: a warder and a roamer going to treb-lane.
Group B: the rest going either for runner or push role.

Only spawn archers at the start you need to take the guards down first anyway.
Group A go strait to treb-lane dont even use your supplies to spawn minions, the enemy players are out for your guards and treb, you need these alive as long as possible, having a door down this early will cost you the game.

Mid game
A door is down on both teams and mist essence are about to spawn what do you do.
Mist essence is important grab them when they are up (30 second forewarning).
Keep killing minions whit the treb, your trebuchet can fire al the way to the lords door (Not inside the lord room i tested it).

Late game
All gates are dead and both teams are attacking the lord.
You may ditch the treb now but you can still clear incoming minion waves whit it.
Tou need 1 to 3 players at the lord to defend him/her let the others push and gather mist essence.
Healing the other npc’s inside your lord’s room is a good idea they have decent damage and CC they also keep the pressure off of you.
killing the other npc’s makes it easier.
stomping there lord whit skills such as rampage,rampage as one, hallowed grounds helps allot.

i think there are three ways the points system works.
1:Points can be refunded and used to respec (similar to trait points)
2:There is no cap that you can earn and will have everything afterwards to spend on other things (similar to skill points)
3:The points are limited in supply and that they release more for each update,but this seem unlikely.

Human is my choice, I have a human warrior as my main.
So i have decided delete my warrior and remake it into a charr and use the revenant as my new main.

I build my characters whit a story behind them and i want one that represents me.
Its pointless to have two of me.

I am buying the expansion dont care if its 50 euro or more.
Just make sure PvP is balanced and give us fun things to do in PvE to dig around.
If they fix some of the problems currently with the game i might spend a decent amount of money in the cash shop for some gold for the new content to skip most of the grind.

Wont matter anymore, how many weapons you bring into the game. It did like a year ago….but not now.
The combat will be the same boring dodge or die. Trough that wont matter, since all you do is run around and get up downed ppl….battles with more then 5 players are mindless skillspamming…
No one here understands how utterly kitten Gw2 combat is? Or ppl that understud it already left?

Thare are still people here that understands like me for instance.
i get a bit salty sometimes when playing pvp not that i get snowballed or snowball myself but buy how cheap some builds are i just want some counters and variety.

I’m still resistant to the Staff as a melee weapon theory. If we’re using a traditionally non-melee weapon as a one, why is the idea of an existing aquatic weapon as a melee weapon so far fetched, especially when it clearly has spear qualities in the video?

That is true but maybe they have decided to make all weapons usable on land and in water.

The staff weapon as a melee weapon isn’t so far fetched you could use it for monk styled abilities for the guardian if you can swap skills for the weapons you can use in this expansion.
Maybe a new two handed magic weapon like a levitating orb or some kind of other object like a rune or a talisman?

I myself am excited for the new expansion so i decided to make this topic for the fun of it.
Leave your comments to what new types of weapons you all want in the expansion.

I suggest
lances/polearms (wanted to put spears but those are already under water weapons), twohanded axe/large axes/greataxe, claws/gauntlets.

Remember this is for fun nothing serious.
