Guild Wars 2

I’m looking to use my thief in both PVE and WVW and I can’t choose between a d/d condition build or d/p stealth/backstab sort of thing…

I feel like stealth and condition builds are almost complete opposites:

d/p:

single target
all of your utility marbles got into stealth
no evade
you just set up backstab combos

d/d:

multi-target
conditions are easily removed
no stealth
spam dagger #3 while you dodge

I’m actually attracted both styles of play. This my first thief so I have little knowledge to make my own choice.

Both seem like they leave something out that the other provides, so I guess it’s just question of which one would have less problems.

Which one would you choose?

Necro specced and geared correctly can do quite well in a Frontline role.

How so?

I really don’t want to buy more character slots! Since I can’t have of one of each profession; I’ll just have one in each role. Help me decide which profession is better for what they will be doing for the Zerg.

Infantry: Warrior or Guardian

Artillery: Necro or Engineer

Support: Elemental or Ranger

Special ops: Mesmer or Thief

This way I can I have one profession for what ever mood I’m in :-)

This guy on the forums seems to think thats an “Unblockable marks spec with epidemic and boon destroyer.”

I don’t know what kind of build that it is. Can someone explain it to me or perhaps offer an alternative?

Whats a good leveling build? I also am not to sure about what a good lvl 80 Necro build looks like in WvW.

Does anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks.
