I absolutely love this event. When I discovered you could break pots in the shops I just about died laughing because it reminded me of playing Ocarina of Time. Well done, Anet.

I loled when he gave encouraging words after he got his belonging smashed.

If only there was a option to grab one of the inventory he have for sale, run around him a few times then leg it out of the door =P

I just hope I can reunite with my guild before the free transfer end T-T

I’m sure Anet will eventually add WXP Booster, food, guild buff, etc.

Its just another thing to look forward to in their big monthly patch like with different gear stats/major/minor combination.

Bunny Frost

I was going for the alien zombie bunny theme, but I ended up replacing Squeedily Spooch with The Anomaly. I can’t wait to complete the look with a Eye of Rodgort =3

Ranger pets getting hit by Champ Abom’s attacks also build stacks of frenzy, making kitting much more of a hassle. Also keeping them frozen help A TON.

There a consumable that you can purchase for 40c called Frost Gun which can keep it perma-chilled.

When I am soloing it, I sometime let it hit me once so it stun itself after it frenzy wear off. This is a good opportunity to use a hard hitting skill or for dealing extra dmg for those who has traited for it.

For the Champ Ooze, the only tip I got is to stand at a higher elevation than it and for the Eye of Zhaitan, make a habit of killing the adds when they spawn or the boss will absorb them and get a good chunk of it health back when its channeling one of it skill.

i reckon the Lore is part of it, they managed to tie simple things like emberspire to flame elemental in thurmanova and wisteria from jungle worm, they are bound to of tied a very rare weapon to an event meaning something, i read all the dialog from Zho’Qafa and am now pretty certain its that, i would even place a bet that when found the dialog changes! they come out and say we didnt find anything etc and that at least they killed a king, who says who dares awaken me from my rest. and if the rate is .0005 then it means it needs to of been done at least 200’000 times, ive done it maybe 20 times lol,

yeah i know what you mean but in one sense it is a unique spawn as its dialog is set to that event chain, but as a boss it uses the same model making it not unique…..hmmm

I just went and checked on the other Eye of Zhaitan at Malchor Leap and its of Champion rank whereas the one at Strait is of Legendary rank. Also I think the model portrait on the Champion Eye of Zhaitan is different to the Legendary one. I haven’t ran Zho. Catacomb for a few days now so I don’t really remember. Maybe one a Queen and the other is a King.

So you could argue, it is still a “unique spawn” in that sense. -.- @ Jeffrey and his choice of word!

I’m leaning more toward Zho’Qafa Catacombs as to where Final Rest is obtained. Personally, I never knew that place existed and I was wondering why my Orr area completion was stuck at 59/60 for months O.O

If you take a look at one of the entrance to Zho’Qafa Catacombs on the world map, its look like a scythe head. Possibly a hint! Also the gargoyle design on the Final Rest staff remind me of the Royal Guards to the rare boss, Eye of Zhaitan(“Source of Orr” Storyline) which are the Old Kings and Queens of Orr.

As for the “same name chest share the same loot table” argument. Doesn’t The Shatterer and Tequatl the Sunless share the same reward chest name ? If that is the case then The Shatterer’s chest should also have a chance to obtain a “Shard of the Deep” scepter which is suppose to be unique to Tequatl’s reward chest.

You can preview most of the armor and Weapon skin at the PvP Locker in Heart of the Mist. I sometime spend hours there just mixing and matching the different armor skins.

I’m usually a really mild mannered person but this is really taking the PISS. I allocated some time today just so that I could make it for the beginning of Phase 3 since it is a ONCE-IN-A-LIFE -TIME-EVENT. After 2h of a really unimaginative and drawn out battle, the client crashed at the 2nd “reinforcement” stage of the Ancient Karka battle. It wouldn’t let me log in for a few mins then once i did, my pt was already forced disbanded and I was in another overflow map where the event was already completed. -.-

I tried again just now for the past 2h and all my progress was lost again because there was a server wide(?) d/c.

That is 4h of my life totally wasted.
