But even if it doesn’t remove all conditions and grants you all boons there is for 6 seconds, converting 5 conditions is still pretty good? And what decides for how long those converted boons will last?
It’s too bad that Strength runes are too kitten expensive
Is there any way I can see how the Lyssa runes were before they got nerfed? I’m kinda curious.
And what about the utility skills? Do you think I miss out on a lot of things when I don’t use those signets? Because Are the signets are that much better than for example Blinding Power utiliy-wise?
S/D’s not about stealthing, that’s not the type of utility you should focus on. And having the stunbreaker signet helps a lot.
Ah alright thanks
I’ll try it out and see how it plays.
And how about the runes btw?
Nobody’s using lyssa since 2014 April. Strength or Pack is the way to go for sd thief
Ah okay thanks, I didn’t know that

Hi guys,
A couple of weeks ago I started to play a thief again (haven’t played it since launch) and I’m starting to really like it. I especially like the S/D playstyle (coming from a main Ranger with BM bunker build).
I got a S/D build somewhere from a site which I can’t remember where I got it, but this is the build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fZAQNAV8Yl0Mp0plPx7J8PNBNBt9EGeE0NAJovoA-TJBFwACuIAx2foaZAAPBAA
However, yesterday I saw a post with a S/D “meta” build and I started to wonder about my own build, since it was a bit different compared to mine:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8iCz_kSLG0 with: http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fZAQNAsYVl0MpypFOx7J8PNBNB5dY+SZ0KAdfko0XA-TZBFwACOBAl2fYxhAoaZAAPBAA
So I was wondering if some of you more veteran thiefs could compare the “meta” build with mine and give me your opinion.
Thank you in advance
(Sorry for bad English if it is bad, it’s not my native language.)
I would drop the shortbow for axe/torch + sword/dagger. That way you still have range and get some nice extra evades, poison and chill. Or replace the dagger for the warhorn since you have healing spring :P
Maybe replace “Guard” and/or the trait ‘Oakheart Salve’ for something else.
i run with 22k health and have absolute no problems with conditions. 3 conditions taken away by my pet every 10 sec + 1 condition every 2 sec on demand make us pretty tough. necros have a hard time again rangers, same for engineers. our movement is by far better than theirs so we are able wo sit the conditions out while regeneration massive hp and our pet sill damaging them
Are you running RRR in apoth/settlers? Where are you getting the 1 condition on demand every 2s? Are you talking about blind/poison remove on dodge?
He’s talking about healing spring, 10s waterfield which pulses every 2 seconds.
But you cant do really a lot against condi’s, I still run BM bunker and the thing that keeps me alive is mostly my heals and dodges. But you should always kill them fast, hope someone will save you or just run lol.
After I read the patch note, I wanted to at least try it out, but it seems Vigorous Training isn’t even working as it should be … Or am I using it wrong?
Are you in combat? LOLLLLLLLL sorry just reminded me of the patch preview
Indeed you must be in combat. By the way, anyone know where companion’s defense is?
No no no, I tested it while I was in combat Or a lvl 2 Green Moa doesn’t count as “in combat”, then sorry my fault :P

How about a trait which effect is that pets don’t aggro mobs? Could help a lot in PvE if you want to get somewhere quickly.
