This suggestion is purely aesthetics related, but I think the shadowy scythe that appears on the end of the staff whenever the Necro attacks or places a mark should remain on the staff as long as the weapon remains drawn not just when we attack.

Why not replace reanimator with Dark Armor (or something else) and let reanimator be a choice?

A challenge for the devs. Educate us.

In hopes that a Dev might actually read this thread. I agree 100% with the OP. As I’ve stated in another thread the thing I want most from them at this point is for them to clearly state/define how they view this class and how we as Necro players should attempt to fill this role. Not to argue, not be hostile, not to troll. Just guidance, because at this point this seems to be the only option we have to possibly meet on some sort of common ground about the state of the Necromancer.

Arenanet appear to be avoiding us. Hmph.

I’m in the same boat as you guys, it’s very disheartening to not hear from the Dev’s typically on anything here on the Necro forums. But at this point I’m honestly more interested in just having one take some time out and detail how the Devs feel our particular profession should be played or how they view us in general because as of now (I don’t know about the rest of you) I feel in the Dark. It honestly feels like we are the black sheep of GW2 at the moment as there seems to be little communication here other than the occasional thread that gets closed.

It’s strange, Jon Peters himself said he felt that there was a lot of condition removal in the current Meta and Necros didn’t have any solid power builds to turn to that might help compensate for this. He talks about wanting to introduce build variety. But I’m just confused as to why it seems that we are to be pigeon holed into condition builds. Which IMO is a bit strange because when playing condition build it is very hard to maintain a healthy pool of LF which in their eyes is the paramount of our profession. We lack variety as well as bugs that they never even to seem to acknowledge.

I would like to just hear from a Devs point of view, not to be negative or combative but just to be acknowledged because as of now it just doesn’t seem we are being heard.

Why doesn’t the scepter grant life force?

I can’t for the life of me figure out why the scepter does not grant life force for DS. In fact it’s the only main hand weapon that Necros have that doesn’t give life force. It makes it very hard for me to commit and use this weapon because when I actually need to use DS to fend off an attack I either have no life force to do so or very little. Is this an oversight or was it intended?
