Honestly, there’s tons of factors to choosing a mouse.

I would go with what feels best in your hand, since you’re going to be holding the mouse a lot. By “feel”, I don’t mean just the shape. I mean the placing of the buttons, the feel of the scrollwheel, the click on the mouse buttons, the quantity of sidebuttons, the weight and the coating on the mouse.

In the past, I’ve used and ditched the following mice:

• IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 (too low DPI, no DPI switching)
• Razer DeathAdder (left mousebutton broke)
• Razer Krait (gave away after getting IME 3.0)
• SideWinder X8 (too heavy, had to charge frequently)

Currently I’m using a Zowie EC1 eVo.

Truthfully, the modern “gaming” mice have tons of useless gimmicks. Ridiculous numbers of sidebuttons, flashy LED lights, ridiculously high DPI values, macros, interchangeable parts. In the end, it comes down to what features each person likes and the feel of the mouse.

I think that asking a question like “what’s the best mouse” is a bit silly. It’s a bit like asking “What’s the best resolution?” or “What’s the best type of display?”

Well I was mostly wonder about the G400 and G500 in particular I pretty much decided it’s going to be one or the other.

Hi all I need to get a new mouse my old one broke I am thinking the G400 or G500. Have any of you tried both? Thanks to any players who use these and can offer a suggestion of what to get.

My original question is above but let me clarify more to avoid confusion.

I am in need of a new mouse and instead of going with something everyday that is wireless I am looking at getting either the G500 or G400 both of which are on sale for $45 and $30 at my local Best Buy. Anyways I am looking for people that have either used both or can give me pros and cons about the two.

I have played around with both of them a bit but having a hard time deciding so thought I would come here and see what people thought. Thanks for any help you all can offer.

Ok so I normally like playing someone in heavy armor and am wondering is Guardian or Warrior better in this game. In other MMO’s I usually tend to play paladins and such but also tend to have a warrior alt as well.

Well I don’t plan really on standing back and using just that since a Guardian is meant to get in there and mix it up but what I wanted to know I guess is that if needed that it would be useful. I will probably pve the most but I want to do some wvwvw as well.

Heck to be honest I don’t even know how good Guardians are for wvwvw to be honest. Been leveling a warrior so far because I was afraid a Guardian wouldn’t cut it.

well I guess where I am most concerned about it would be for if I decide to do WvWvW.

I am going to guess that for PvE it’s probably ok since Ranged bosses don’t really move around a lot from what I understand.

I was just wondering how good/bad Guardians are when it comes to ranged attacks.

So for stats I am not entirely sure what to go for atm I am thinking armor with Power Vitality and Toughness with Trinkets and upgrade slots with Precision and Crit Damage /Power.

Ok I like using the Greatsword as far as off hands are concerned I am kind of torn between several because they are all situational it feels like. Depending on what I am doing to include the staff.

So I am not really sure how I should be gearing to get the most out of my GS usually if I use offhand items it’s going to be scepter or sword combined with either pistol or focus occasionally s/s when solo. Should I decide to use the staff it’s for the AOE buff/debuff and being able to bubble myself so I use it defensively and swap back to GS soon as I can.

Also as far as spec goes I am running 20/25/0/0/25 currently. Not sure if that’s optimal for a GS but it feels decent I have tried mixing and matching all sorts of things.

I am looking to make a ranged dps/utility warrior for both pve and some occasional pvp mostly pve though. I was wondering if this build is on track I am level 40ish and thinking about what kind of build I want end game will ask more about gear later.

Should you have any suggestions on gear or think it helpful to know what I am thinking here it is…. What I am currently thinking of for gear… is to get the Power,Toughness and Vitality set from AC. And using Precision/Power and Healing/Power for rings and Trinkets to swap around depending on if I want a little more dps or if I want more utility. As far as bonus spots in my Armor and weapons I haven’t decided. I am thinking weapon wise of using Axe and Warhorn along with Longbow main ranged weapon and Rifle as needed.

Don’t think if this is even possible seeing how each characters " race/profession/story/ orders" are so deeply rooted with the things you do already. You don;t want Faren to be flirting with your male char now do you?

I am female and as such play all my characters as female and have had areas where females flirt with me so I have no problem with Faren flirting with a male charr.

I have been thinking that perhaps I don’t know for sure that it could be possible to allow race changes in the gem store without hurting peoples story lines. What would happen is you would pick your race and customize your character the way you want them to look. You would also be able to pick some but not all of the basic story options for your race.

However, there would be certain choices you could not make like as you go through and pick the kind of story options if your character already is say more Aggressive or Charming or Dignified that option would be picked for you and grayed out to keep it the same as what you currently have.

The other thing that they would need to do is not allow you to be able to race change until a minimum level has been reached say 30ish because that’s when you choose which order to join.

Part of the racial change requirement would be that you would be stuck in an overflow type server that only allows you to do your story quests kind of like how they have the introduction quest area. You would however be able to have a friend click their icon just like you do now to join someone in overflow and they would be able to help you with those quests. Once you finish the last quest just before you would would join your order you would instead appear in your Races Main City or say Lions Arch.

The other thing I would like to see is a way to get a Character customization option in the gemstore. That way you can go through all the options of being able to choose how your race looks to include if you are Male or Female still. But not change any of the story options and such.

I hope that the developers of this game take a look at this and really think on it I believe it to be possible but then I have never coded so I don’t know for sure how sound my idea is. Also this is just a race change you would not be able to change your profession.

I thank anyone who took the time to read this and hopefully this post will get positive feedback and give the developers something good to add to the game in the future for their players who put a lot of investment and time into a character.

So it is possible to be a utility support/healing for a warrior.

I was wondering how well a Warrior can support/heal their groups as compared to a Guardian. I am wondering this because as of the fact that I will be playing both PvE and PvP with friends and have heard that a Warrior has superior ranged skills. I would like the option to be versatile for my group whether PvE or PvP. Thank you for any info you can give that is helpful.

So I am looking to make a Guardian or a Warrior I will probably mostly PvE but I have some friends that when they pop on during the weekend I will WvWvW with. I am wondering which is the better profession for those things overall and why. Also I am afraid if I go Guardian of possibly being kited but I don’t know cause I see a few tools that can help to close gaps I just don’t know how well they really work. Thanks Guardian is much more like the profession I am used to in other games just wasn’t sure how it was in this game.

I want to be able to help protect my allies and I also want to be able to buff them. I will mainly be doing PvE I think but I also want to do WvWvW and not get kited to death. What I am wondering is are Guardians able to do this or should I be looking for another profession like a Warrior. Thanks! If I had to guess I would PvE on weekdays and WvWvW on weekends.

Guess I have just played to many MMO’s as of late where if you are a warrior they call you a master of all weapons but really your ranged weapons are just for pulling targets to you.

I was figuring it would probably end up being for what I wanted a… Ranger, Thief, or a Warrior. I just was afraid I would get laughed out of a group if I came in as a warrior and didn’t go melee during a dungeon.

Ok here is the deal I have looked over all of the professions and I have played around with most of them to about level 12. I don’t have a clue if race makes a difference as well at any point.

I know in the end all of this is going to be my choice to decide but I honestly am not sure what to pick every forum seems like people complain about this or that and I just want some help without getting flamed to death hopefully.

What I would like to do is play a character that I can do some melee in your face with on occasion just for fun but mostly ranged dps. I have friends that would like to do a 50/50 mix of PvE and WvWvW. I also tend to like to do some of my questing and gathering solo.

I know it’s a mmo but sometimes it’s nice to play something that you don’t go squish when don’t have your friends with you.

Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thank You if you read all of this.

I have been having terrible frame issues in cities and other places where other games I play are great but today I went setting by setting and found that if I either…

Using both at the same time made no difference so just pick the one you prefer to use.

A) turned the environment to low which I didn’t like or…

B) Turned off the Reflections setting

It did help me go from 10 fps to 30-40 fps but the bad news is I should be seeing higher than that but at least I got some of it fixed. I don’t know about having tons of mobs or people around yet as I just did this at 1am Pacific Time and there were not many people on my server. I also made a ticket because I hadn’t been here to see how many other people were having problems.

I was wondering if your guild is mainly and LGBT guild also I would prefer a guild generally speaking where people are 18+. So if there are any out there on Henge of Denravi I would love to hear from you the more the merrier.

While I am at it what are some good crafting skills to go with a mesmer?

So far I have really liked mesmer and the way it plays I have probably died a few times more than any other class but they are amazingly fun so far I am only level 11.

I was wondering of Mesmer and Elementalist which one people who have played both enjoy more I slightly like my Mesmer more. But are there any real drawbacks between the two?
