Its makes me sad, and i feel bad for oldschool mesmer players.

Before there were like 4 or 5 good mesmers and the class was reserved to a skillful based playerbase.

Nowadays its just the FoTM and everyone can become efficient as a mesmer even when being utterly bad at the game. This is nonsense and i wonder how much time it will take for anet to nerf it. Prob never?

Sorry for the ones who used to have the feeling to play an underused class which had high skillcap, now every baddies are switching to mesmer

Im done crying.

Hello i bought some gems then i tried to buy the new aetherblade medium armor from the gemstore..

The gems disappeared but i never got my item through the mailbox

its showing in the “recent purshases” tab tho…

Decrease again pet DMG on basic attacks by 50%

!Greatest change!

On the petbar : Look at every pet of the game : they all have 4 spells. Its EXACTLY the same principle for every of the 4 spells :

1-the one spell that you can control.
2-We will call it the basic attack, its a no cd spell that does dmg.
3-Burst dmg spell with CD. (sometimes utility)
4-Utility spell. (sometimes burst spell)

Actually we can control only ONE of the THREE attacks that would be intresting for us to manage.
If you look at all those spells closely you will see a lot of them brings really intresting things to the table : Combo fields, blast finishers, leap finishers, Knockbacks, stuns, Healing, Interrupts, immobilizations, HIGH burst with cd, Buffs.

—> Introduce these spells in the petbar so we can use them when we want and prevent the pet from using them randomly.

Reduce the cast time and the aftercast of all pet skills GREATLY to make them feel REALLY responsive. (exept the “basic attack”).

Beastmastery trait will now increase the effectiveness of every of the pet spells (including the basic attack) by reducing the cd and/or increasing the dmg of them, instead of increasing petstats.

Adjust the cd/effectiveness of those spells to balance them out.

Reduce by 100% the dmg of concussive shot, reduce its cd and delete the aftercast of it. To make it feel a lot more responsive.

Increase the dmg of some of the weapons skills to compensate the big loss of damage due to pet dmg nerf (Precise calculs has to be made).

Little to no traits change.

These changes would introduce :

New “plays”, less passive gameplay, a more risky rapid and agressive way of playing the ranger

Some of the “skilled interupt gameplay” we had in GW1 with concussive shot, GS and sword spells and new controlable and not random pet abilites to prevent rezings, heals, elites, core abilities.

More combos possible.

A managable burst capability with buffed weapon spells combinated with the burst pet ability.

Improved teamplay possibilities with moa AOE healing for exemple or the new cc chain’s/bursts this kind of changes will create.

Necro damage is completely out of control, its very hard to l2p against such a massive amount of condi’s.
I think that necro needs to be toned down, its sad but true, if only you could hear our ts during those matches, we had no structure or strat, we just asked our necro’s to kill things and we would assist where possible.

You have to have the mindset of level 48+ fractal runners have.
Just dodge agony, cuz if you don’t you die.

So just dodge fear, cuz if you don’t you die.

L2P like OP said!!!

No time for peeps in pvp who cant dodge agony. I mean fear!

So many classes have unlimited dodge or access to vigor for a crazy amount of time, its not like the developers gave you nothing to outskill play the necromancers… Just dodge it! They’ll go down, not like they tanks.

Necro NEEDS to be toned down, actualy the amout of dmg they can output is just ridiculous.

Its not a L2P issue, and it will not get countered with time, it’s so easy to see how broken it is right now. You just can’t adapt against that.

We rolled 2 necros in tournies today and it was the easiet matches i’ve ever had.

Don’t get me wrong i think it’s great they are back in the meta, but right now it’s just stupid.

The most important things i think right now :

-1 Give sPvP players some motivation to play the game, give them some special rewards.

Back in GW1 when you saw someone R12+ or Champion 2 you knew he was kinda good, and you could get some fame by holding the pantheon for hours.

Here in GW2 ranks means nothing, i can just farm 10v10 zerg with glory boost all day and get a high rank. Anyone can do that.

Remember GvG capes ? something like that, like monthly tournies with special rewards for the winning team.

Give us a motivation to get better.

2 – Balance.

3 – New game modes, i’d really see some official random deathmatch mode with titles kinda like RA in GW1.

I dont want GW2 to be the same game as GW1, but its really dumb to not use some of what made their first game such a great PvP experience. And GW2 has so much potential for pvp…

I do think they need to tweak a bit the thieves damage, however i find this 10seconds duels intresting all happens so fast and if you know what you’re doing you can actually win even if he pops guild.

How was WoW at the very start ? Seriously gamers are getting too demanding nowadays.

GW2 is a really really big game and it takes time to makes things happen.

Just let some time to Anet, and u’ll see. It has a lot more potential in terms of E-sport than wow.

Imo the game was released a bit too early but thats not the dev’s fault, now let them the time to bring some great pvp.

Hey, i think its a good idea, i dont wanna be elitist or anything also i dont know about the rest but going for a crit/power build in Tpvp is quite bad.

I know it can be good for a 8v8 zerg, but when you play against competent oponents its not the best choice.

You’re going to be a bad teamfighter, cause they will focus you down really quickly and the immunity won’t help you out.

You’re also not going to be a good node defender, you can’t handle 2 ppl, and you’re not going to win 1 on 1’s with zerk amulet.

You could be a quite good roamer (id switch for sword for improved mobility) in 2v1 situations, but if you get in a 2v2, same problem, u’ll be focused down really quickly and you will lose DPS being forced to LoS more.
I would switch 5 points in squirmishing into quickness when you swap pets so you can rez/finish ppl more effectivly with stability in 2v2 (or more) situations.
But honestly other professions will do it better.

PS : Sharpened edge with 100 condition damage ? you should take 30% crit damage on pets even with a condi build its better if you’re going to play with feline/canine.

Honestly, i think Anet is really busy with the 22 october update, they will have to lauch Paid tourny, “arenas” and halloween event (we all know how great GW events are :p).

I got hope for this update, i think they will fix many bugs for all classes and even buff the ranger. (They want to lauch paid tourny with good balance).

I already started to learn engi in pvp, and if they dont do anything i’ll just either stop the game or play my engi.

I dont really use the forums normally, but i just wanted to say that i can’t agree more with all the community.

As a pvp only player ( 350+ tournaments won as a ranger) that fix is feeling quite bad as the ranger wasn’t the most advantaged class out there before…

I tried all the class and i only REALLY like the ranger. What i like in the SB is that you have to master the positioning in order to apply as much pressure as possible. Its also a really fast/reactive gameplay.

I dont think you guys at Anet should tell me if spamming 1 is or isn’t a fun way of playing.

If you want to prevent it, you should buff/change the other skills on the SB, cause actually they are really useful tools but quick shot, crippling shot and concussion shot are really situational. (Poison volley is not cause i have to refresh poison at close range to prevent enemies from healing).

To finish, something is wrong with Quickening Zephir, i can feel the difference on my basic attacks its annoying but not that big, but when it comes from QZ, it feels really really slow compared to what it was.

The only really viable option for spvp is still the shortbow (even after the nerf, mixed with condi dmg obviously, not power/critbuild). Longbow is complete trash. and Greatsword was nerfed to the ground during betas.

You can still try to play a condition axe/torch & sword/warhorn (traps utilities) if you really want to get rid of the shortbow but its really really not that great.

Honestly ranger is kinda bad atm.

Well, at the moment im rank 35 with about 74% of my games as a ranger. I got more than 300 wins in tournaments as a ranger.

I tried all the other classes and ranger is the only one i REALLY like to play.

We were not a top tier class at all. Try 1v1 equally skilled and well built necros/ele’s/mesmers and you’ll see.
Also shortbow was the only weapon viable and seriously the only really usefull traits are squirmishing and survival.

All this to say that rangers we’re a “Meh” class. Now its really bad compared to the other classes, this wasnt necessary at all.
Ask yourself : Why would you take a ranger in your tournament team ? What do they do better than the other classes ? If you ask me i can’t really awnser.

I’ll stop the game for something more competitive like SC2 or LoL till balance is polished (its actually quite good, just needs some adjustements) and ratings are introduced.

I dont really know how this nerf feels in PvE and WvW for you guys but i guess it sucks too.

If i have to give an order :

1) Mesmer for sure
2) Thief
3) Guardian
4) Engi
5) Necro
6) Warrior
7) Ele
8) Ranger

But imo Mesmers/guardians/thieves are top tier and the rest is pretty equal/balanced.

Hey, its been quite sometime since GW2 was released, and i really love this game. It may already have been said but here’s some of my brief suggestions for the game.

- Add some more PvP / PvE titles. For exemple in PvP you got the champion XXX (depends on you’re class) for having like 150 tournament wins. Why not implement another title for like 300 wins, then 600 etc ?

- Some more lvl 80 zones.

- Some more PvP modes, like random arenas in GW1.

- Duels

- More things to do between high pvp ranks. I mean, its cool to have like 3 brand new chests per 10 ranks, but when you start farming ranks like 30 to 40 its realy long and once you got all items from the rank 30 vendor. You have pretty much nothing to do but stacking glory.

So maybe, add some more objects/items between higher ranks. Like new skins, new chests, or fun things like tonics, town clothes, or even special buffs like the commander one in WvW that gets other people attention. For exemple a 40k glory buff that you can enable/disable when you want. Or even specials minipets so we can also unlock minipets by doing pvp. Etc !

- Little balance changes in PvP, i primerily think about tuning down a bit mesmers.

- Some kind of ranking system in spvp (i bet that will come in a few weeks).

- Maybe add some more useful things in the gem store ?

- Inspection tool.

Thats it for me, what are you’re thoughts? What do you think this game lack of ?
