Okay so some of my friends have had this problem where they disconnect for 1-2mins in a Ranked PVP match they get back in soon enough, play a high percentage of the match, sometimes even cause us the win, but still lose a pip and get dishonored. I don’t understand why people who play a big part of a match and participated a lot should be punished if you still get a win.

I just had a match where i played for 99% of the game, I even kept far captured for long against 2 players, not that it really means something but I had the most points on my team I get a dc right before the end of the match, that we won, and I also lose a pip and get dishonored. I don’t get how this is fair.

Why should the person still lose a pip and get dishonored after a win and a high percentage of participation in the match, or is this to hard to program?

I seems that Pet Condition damage does not match up to the tooltip at all.

Attached is a screenshot of how much damage the tooltip shows the bleeding of Lacerating Slash will do, which is 4032. In my Combat Log you can see the actual damage that it did. 157 + (164 × 17) + 7 = 2952

So either the tooltip is wrong or Pets are just doing about 73.21% of condition damage they should be doing.

Note:
I tested this with some other pets who also have this same problem.
The tooltip is not affected by my condition damage stat or condition duration stat neither is the tooltip affected by the trait Expertise Training.
I had Expertise Training on during the test that I posted a screenshot of without Expertise Training it did even less damage only 2304. Meaning pets are only doing about 57.14% of the condition damage that their tooltips show.

Edit: Expertise Training also does not increase the condition duration as stated by the trait.

Hi, because of issues with our previous guild’s leader we left the Guild. Now me, my fiancee and two friends are looking for a new guild, maybe more depending on if more people also start to have issues with the leader.

We are looking for a nice/friendly guild that does Raids, Fractals (up to level 100) and PVP often. The guild does not have to be a top ranked guild in those fields, but we at least want to be in a guild that takes part often. We are aiming on getting better in all these fields of the game.

One of us clears the raid on a weekly basis, I have cleared VG a few times and Gorseval once and the other 2 have attempted VG, but not enough to clear it since our Guild only attempted it once and we had to PUG to try and beat Raids. We are one Ruby, one Sapphire, one Emerald (he only recently started to PVP again since his focus was on Raids) and one willing to start learning how to PVP. All 4 of us are over level 75 personal Fractal level.

Basically to sum up, we are 4 people looking for a socially friendly guild, that focuses on High-end content.

I have made a full set of Exotic Zealot gear for my druid, now I want to change my Ascended Zerker set to Zealot can I salvage my Exotic armour with a chance of getting the Insignia back or is it not possible because it is crafted armour? Please do not answer me with wiki replies let me know if you have maybe tried this, because some crafted armours do give the insignia back.

Okay so I spent €50 to pre-purchase GW2 HoT, “Guild Wars 2 core game included” written on the front and what surprise do I get inside? There’s no disc included. I know you can’t put on installs for Hot but if you had to include the core game and put a price tag of €50 on it why dont you just put a disc with the installs for the core game on it with a HoT logo?

Well, in Britain it’s because of VAT which is 20%:

£35 * 0.2 = £7
£60 * 0.2 = £12
£80 * 0.2 = £16

£35 – £7 = £28
£60 – £12 = £48
£80 – £16 = £64

£28 in USD = $44.56
£48 in USD = $76.38
£64 in USD = $101.82

As you can see, before the 20% VAT the prices are a lot closer to the US prices.

But America also has VAT and so does South Africa the transaction allready costs me more because my currency is worth less and there is ekstra transaction cost because I’m paying with rand, now that I’m in Belgium I have to pay the USA VAT (I’m allmost sure it is inclueded into the $99.99 I now also have to pay an ekstra 20% of Belgium VAT on that even though South Africa only has 14% VAT. Doesn’t make sense.

So according to the wiki the prices are as follows:

Standard Edition ($49.99 / €44.99 / £34.99)
Deluxe Edition ($74.99 / €74.99 / £59.99)
Ultimate Edition ($99.99 / €99.99 / £79.99)

This does not make any sense to me at all.

If my math and internet skills are correct with the converter I get the following numbers:

Standard Edition ($49.99 / €44.23 / £31.53)
Deluxe Edition ($74.99 / €66.30 / £47.29)
Ultimate Edition ($99.99 / €88.40 / £63.04)

So okay I understand the Standard Euro Edition is rounded up to 99 cents that 76cents difference is acceptable, the pound one is rounded up by £3.46.
For Delux Edition they didn’t even convert the Euro Edition the difference is €8.69 and the pound one’s difference is £12.70.
With Ultimate Edition again they didn’t convert the Euro Edition now with a diffference of €11.59 and for the Pound Edition the difference is £16.95.

Can anyone give me a reason as to why the Euro and the Pound payers have to pay more for a digital product? There is no shipping cost and no physical product cost.

Also as a South African in Belgium for a long vacation I cannot find a link to pay in Dollars since $99 is R1,223.34 (Rand is South African currency), wheras €99.99 is R1,384.14 and £79.99 is R1,553.326138. Seeing as i only get paid R2500 per month this makes a huge difference

Okay so according to a video from Blog Otter, if I understand him correctly, he thinks the expantion would have been 50 dollars without the base game and they are selling the base game with the expantion because they don’t want a lot of people just having the base game or people who want to start playing now to have to perchase both the core and expantion. Interestingly you can not buy just the core game on their site any site anymore, or I just can’t find it, forcing you to buy the expantion if you want to buy the game. I’m guessing this is an attempt to fix the problem they made with copies still being sold but this does not remove the physical copies from stores.

Is it really such a big loss Anet to just add something to the price of 50 dollars to the people who allready had the game? It will only cost you some work whereass just leaving it as is will cost you some loyal fans to the franchise.

Just and interesting side note: I have seen and heard of a few people with multiple accounts I doubt those people with 2-8 accounts will all buy a 50 dollar expantion where they might have done it for 30 dollars.

If he bought the game just last week, he should contact the support immediately. It’s been mentioned elsewhere that they can help you migrate the purchase into HoT prepurchase (although I assume you have to pay the cost difference, and your account may be reset so that any progress you had made in-game will be lost). Essentially it’s refund of the game you bought, and purchase of the new HoT option.

That is going to be a bit hard seing as he bought it from a store with Rands, South African currency, and does not have a credit card to make online payments.

Since they have allready inclueded the core game into the perchase and the price give it a seperate code so you can create a new account with it or give it to a friend or relative and still add the expantion to your old account.

When the Guild Wars Eye of the North expantion was released you did not have to pay for Guild Wars Prophecies again you also did not get Prophecies for free you had to buy both it and Eye of the North if you wanted to play the expantion. Eye of the North was also cheaper then any of the core games. WoW never realesed an expantion forcing you to buy only that expantion at an core game and expantion price.

You can’t even regester the core game you get added as a new account and just add the expantion to you old one.

Well it still doesn’t work the way it’s suppose to if tried everything, killed it like six times now and it has not done one attack back.

The achievement Bottoms Up for drinking nectar from the Champion Mordrem Thrasher can not be completed at this moment because at the mob does not attack back it just slowly floats on its intended path till it dies. Please fix this.

Doubt it i’m not good with bells or flutes. Looking for things I can just place for a nice mood.

I’m taking a good friend of mine on a date in game just for fun. I didn’t want to go to the usual strawberry place or in grove but I found a nice little place in Divinity, but it looks a little plain there anyone know of any items that I can use to decorate the place? I allready bought some food trays to put down. Now i just need a nice and beautiful atmosphere.

I love the look of the HotW chest and legs with the feet from SE since it all looks a bit more like heavy armor but there is an clipping issue. I think the SE boots has clipping issues with any dress-like pants.

I am looking for a good pve build to use for farming, dungeons etc. Something with range and melee capabilities. I’m looking for great damage but without loosing too much survivability. Please post me a build and give a short description of what it does.

Hi, I have bought a Zephyrite helm for my Asura but his ears goes through the side of the helm and for that reason I can’t get myself to wear it. I was wondering if you could make it like the Radiant Warhelm so asuran ears can be inside it.

Can you honestly say you enjoy doing dailies Vick? I’m not talking about the reward that comes with it the daily itself. Do you enjoy that?

You can’t implement the leaderboard for achievements make Dailies give achievement points and expect people not to feel forced to do them.

90% of all people do. Since it changed. Way back nobody had a problem with it. They tried to make it this way to get people to play in the other less active zones, but people now just do it in the zone where they can finish the daily the fastest. Thats why so many people are in Queensdale for daily [Group Events], Kills in Kryta, Events in Kryta, Daily Champion defeated. People mostly do that there cuz it’s the fastest way to get their daily out of the way. Not because it is fun playing there again.

Wow, so you’re not in this for the masses, you just can’t handle losing your oh so important status, which means nothing.

I think you need to get your priorities straight and the reasoning for those priorities before trying to make game changing suggestions to support yourself personally.

1) I’m not the only guy with this problem.
2) People who are not already high on the leaderboard won’t ever be able to get there unless they do this long daily grind every day.
3) “yourself personally” is a grammar mistake

You can’t tell me that you actually complete all those 15 daily achievements and enjoy it, but you don’t have a problem with it because you are not the one doing it everyday and you do not mind if you miss a day.

I do not think I have an important status I just like competing for the top.

Another solution might be to only let the 5 achievements that complete your daily give achievement points then you really only have to do 5 of them.

I understand what Xenon is about and it is explained better in my Thread where I prefer the weeklies idea. Not everyone can play everyday and the laurels are not a big miss but if you are on the achievements leaderboard you can’t afford to miss dailies. This idea could also work won’t prefer it though.

You can keybind things id just prefer that keybindings were character bound instead of account bound. Since the big problem comes in with class specific skills ranger mostly uses F2 and F4 where Thief uses only F1. For that reason I can’t keybind those. There is a better idea for a thread, and use a name where people would go in because they are interested in the subject. Nobody takes someone serious who rages you’ll only get trolled.

I put a lot, and I mean a lot, of time into GW2 that still doesn’t mean I am able to log on every day. That doesn’t make my opinion any more or less worthy than yours. I think if you ask around there will be a lot of people who can’t be on every day because of work or personal reasons

Simple fact. There is no reason that you actually NEED to complete dailies. It’s simple as that. If you can’t finish it, then don’t. You didn’t lose anything as a result.

Easy for someone to say when your not high on the leaderboard when you are in the top 300 like me and aiming higher you can’t miss a single point of the every daily.

There is no need for this just wait for servers to rotate then you’ll get the other places. it swaps weekly if not more.

I agree. I think it would be much better to maybe add a new explorable erea or two for now. Maybe add a giant or two to it cuz the giant slayer achievement is a pain.

I agree even if you are just able to dye some aspects of the weapon. For example the nightmare weapons are shine pink\purple for that reason ill never use them.

I like your idea or when you get into WvW you should be able to switch characters without losing your spot in that borderland. For example when your in a borderland and switch character, that character gets a pop-up menu giving you a few seconds to enter that same borderland.

Another MMO had a Dual Talents option. Talents is about the same thing as Traits. Which was a very good idea since you don’t always play the same way in the same situation. I have to retrait every time I want to reach my full potential in different situations for example solo PVE, WvW, solo/group farming, Fractals and Guild Events. So I understand what Kuull is on about.

I dont see a problem with Dailies…. In fact I like them. If u don’t like it – don’t do it and go for monthly instead.

I don’t have a problem with Dailies I have a problem with doing every aspect of them plus the sPVP Daily so i don’t fall behind on achievement points on the leaderboard. Plus not everyone has the option to log on every day, why should they be denied the chance to get high on the leaderboard?

If you can’t get the daily done in a maximum of an hour you’re doing something wrong. If you can’t get every single daily with the same amount of ease, then don’t.

Yes it is true that most aspects of the daily can be done fast, but as I told Frostfang not everyone has the option to log on every day.
The 3 WvW daily achievements takes at least 30 mins if your lucky. That is hoping your not on at a bad time waiting in queue for any borderland. Took me 20 mins last Friday just to get into WvW.
Then there is Dungeon Story, a quick AC story run takes 20 mins at least, thats hoping there no newbies or cutscene watchers.
sPVP daily is about 10 mins per game, meaning 3 games take about 30 mins on average.
Then there is also the Fractals Daily achievement, yes, if you get a party who just want to do their daily fractal run and you keep on entering to get swamp first this part can be quick, but finding that party takes time itself and if not you either have to do an entire Fractal run or you must leave when you are done with the first one leaving a mad team behind.

I like the idea of choosing your own Daily requirements but as an achievement hunter I have to get all 11 points in PVE and WVW as well as the 4 points in sPVP. This takes an average of about 2 hours, if I work hard and fast on it, to complete and even though it doesn’t bother me that much, my girlfriend has taken a hate to the words: “I have to do my Daily.”

I have also realised a few people who were like me stopped playing GW2 for the reason that grinding those 15 points everyday is just too much of a pain.

So I got the idea that it might be better if we got Weeklies instead of Dailies. Multiply the work you get in a normal daily with about 5 and give the reward as if you did 7 dailies or something in that direction. Leaving me to play more GW2 during the weeks and have a little more time for my friends and girlfriend on weekends. I am sure this also benefits people who can’t play that much during the week because of their every day job, so that they can catch up what they missed, on the weekends.

I have read through the Official rules and eligibility requirements.

Where it reads: “Players must reside in the United States, European Union, Iceland, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, Canada, or Mexico to enter the Tournament.”

What about other places that also doesn’t have a problem with traveling to USA? Like South Africa a few friends and I would love to take part. Is it at all possible?

First let me start off by saying that I love the idea of a leaderboard in sPVP but when I join solo more then half my games my team is either vs much higher ranked on average team or we are vs premades and guilds which makes our chances much less of winning.
That is not my biggest problem though, my biggest problem is people who leave or just go AFK. A lot of games someone just leaves or leaves because it looks like we are not going to win and is soon as it is 4 vs 5 the rest of the team just go AFK.
I would love to be able to take a leaderboard seriously but it is not going to happen before they do not fix this issue.
Id suggest that if a person logs out during a tourney and he doesn’t come back in within a few second that someone can take his place through join solo and that person gets a debuff making it not possible to join another tourney for at least an hour or something like that. I would also like to hear what you guys have to say.

Okay so I live in South Africa, bought myself a new pc, and changed from Windows XP Home to Windows 7 Ultimate. I also instead of re-installing the game and re-doing all the updates copied the all ready updated version from my friend who also has GW2 because my monthly cap is very limited. Now I keep getting disconnected constantly and it tells me that my client has lost connection to the server.
Can anyone maybe give me some advice as to why this might be happening?

The other problem is the past few days I get the: Error 42 log in error and it seems to be server side is that correct or what could be the cause of that.

I’ve seen sum good suggestions and then I have seen people moaning about some features that you really do not need. People must know that Anet cannot satisfy everybody’s wants therefor only post suggestions that you think would really contribute to the game.

1) This game needs Arena: Dueling, 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 structured arena. Also some way to reward it with rankings, rank based points and things to buy with you points at your rank.

2) This is a suggestion to the Forum: Likes, people must be able to like your posts and show the number of likes a post has. It would be a great help in a Topic to see what the community thinks without them having to comment. Plus would be nice to have a little avatar under our names when we post.

3) We need to know what we want. We need to be able to preview how the items in the Trade Post look. Many times I have wanted to buy a new skin for an armor piece or weapon then I had to buy the item to see the skin, didn’t like it and had to sell it again. The other thing we want to see is what other players are using, what their specs are, etc. This you can either resolve with an inspect option or an online armory.
