As a loyal customer who has been playing since the beta tests, I am very disappointed to see this. Making these account bound pressures players into gambling with real money. I will never support MMO gamble boxes and will be very hesitant to spend money on this game in the future.
Will the players who get placed in emerald or sapphire at the start of the season still get credit for crossing those divisions for the League Elite achievement?
The patch notes only specify that we will get the rewards. Does that include the achievement progress?
If not, looks like I won’t be getting my legendary…
SUPER ADVENTURE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also doing some math, since a season is 8 weeks, it looks like there will be 6 PvP seasons this year… Any confirmation on this?
I’ve been thinking about making The Ascension before the year ends. However, I missed the first season this year and was wondering how difficult it would be for me to earn these wings before the year ends. Specifically, will I need to hit ruby twice and diamond once? And, how times total am I going to need 3 wins a day?
I’ve been trying to figure this out on the wiki but I’m still pretty confused…
I just wanted to take a moment to thank the developers for creating and maintaining a game that I actually WANT to spend money on. One of my previous favorite game companies (which shall remain unnamed) along with many other companies have resorted to this “free” model in which there are hidden pay walls.
I’m glad that I only have to buy the game and its expansions and that there are no hidden features that I will be forced to pay for.
Please keep running the game like it has been so that I actually want to spend money on it, rather than feeling forced to. There is a lot to be said for no hidden fees.
As the link Lynx posted states, the newest AVG update (2013) is bugged. Even if you allow an exception for Guild Wars 2, the firewall will still block it. So, in order to properly load the game client, you must entirely disable the AVG firewall.
