I’ve been involved with customer service for a long time, and I’ve seen companies I work for fail and succeed based on their level of customer service. Interwebz gaming is no different. Customers will always migrate to where their needs can be better met.

I’m curious to know if Anet has ever considered having volunteers for filtering through forum suggestions, ect.

Well I suppose I am impressed to see any videos where BP actually kills enemies and doesn’t die over and over again, granted throughout much of that you did outnumber your enemy. I guess whatever wins make you feel proud.

I know the excitement of matching up against Maguuma on the forums can easily get the better of anyone, but as a general rule you do not bring up anyone’s mom. It just gives everyone the image that you’re 8 years old and should be trolled more than usual.

We are able to retrait our own traits at a cost (a bit of silver). I and many others would be more than willing to pay for the ability to retrait our wxp points. Even if this were to cost a reasonable amount of Gems, the ability to freely choose rather than being locked in permanently would be very much appreciated.

If there are others who I haven’t talked to that would also like to have this option, please add to this thread. Thank you.

Maguuma – the only server that posts screenshots when they kill the enemy commander.

He’s not just any enemy commader, he’s a friend and ex guild mate that switch servers from Magumma to Kaineng for a situation that could have been resolved. So yea posting a screenshot of killing him in wvw on the wvw forums should be ok.

There’s nothing wrong with a little bit of friendly competition.

Yeah, next time tell the WaR guild leader to keep guild matters in private chat, instead of a public Mumble humiliation. Public humiliations doesn’t leave much room for resolution.

I was gone for 3 months and when I left WäR was about 60 members with 40ish showing up for WvW on reset day. When I returned a couple weeks ago, it was 130+ members with 15ish showing up for WvW on reset day.

Obviously changes had to be made as WäR turned from a tight knit, fun and helpful group, to a do whatever you want to, whenever you want to, zerg guild. Guild Missions is one of those changes. If you don’t like it, leave. If you want to qq about it, cool story bro.

We’re still heavily focused on WvW and that will never change.

I would like to thank KN for finally getting Zero off our server. Ever since he has left, we’ve kept Eternal in check, increased badge and loot drops, and we can even kill the grub in peace. Zero Xcel: You were rude to Miekkä and while I don’t agree with the way she handled it, you were no better yourself so to point the finger is a double edged sword.

As guild leaders we have every right to shape the guild into whatever desire we want to, and not to what Zero Xcel expects or demands (just to clarify, Beautykills, Iamtheduke and War Legend Lu Bu are the 3 leaders of WäR). WäR was founded on being a tight knit group of FRIENDS who are willing to help one another out in anything that is asked. You’ll be our friend as long as it fits what you want? Heh, some friend. I hate PvE probably as much as you do, but I have helped guildies with dungeons and other such things because it’s important to THEM, not to ME. Obviously WäR is not for you and I have no regrets about you leaving. I just think it’s funny and sad at the same time to leave a server over this, while leading me to believe things were fine, only to leave without saying anything to me, when I thought you and I were “cool”.

You knew the circumstances requarding what happened (real life stuff), but decided to leave the guild PRIOR to talking to myself and Duke about the situation. Odd, I never got any goodbye message. Last I knew things were cool. Then I find out you jump ship over what happened (pretty egotistical reaction imo). Really shows the charecter at heart. It was a rare event to be honest. I almost never roam solo.

It amazes me how so many people are clueless on how to counter gears. I just won a 1 v 7 using gears.

Then the same 7 came back and one of their guys had gears to spam at me. I know how to counter and defeated them a 2nd time in a row.

The only legitimate complaints I can see about Gears is that they do damage to multiple targets (which can be more DPS than your normal move combinations) and appear to be able to hit enemies while in stealth.

I wouldn’t mind paying a monthly fee to play WvW if the culling was greatly improved and the hacking was better dealt with.

I dunno… Elementalist can teleport, mist form, and ride the lightning away. A very good one can often flee from battle unless a big zerg is there with enough culling to decieve the elementalist.

I’m curious how often you play WvW? I’ve put in an insane amount of hours and seen dozens of hackers in my time playing this game. Ranging from:

Speed hacking: (10+ teleports in the span of a couple seconds to get from 100 distance to 4000+ distance away from you)

Map hacking: having the ability to fly through the air over 600 distance above the ground. having the ability to constantly move in and out of walls, and under the map to destroy siege, contest waypoints and kill supply dolyaks.

Battle hacking: having the ability to instantly teleport to another location constantly, evading 50+ auto attacks with 50+ teleports in the span of under 10 seconds.

No I do not suffer from any form of computer lag, I run a GeForce GTX 670 card, and have 32 gigs of ram.

Lastly, when I see hackers from any given server… I personally don’t blame the server, but hope that when it gets brought up that they would help report players in question. I of course am willing to do the same in return, and unfortunately, have.

Yeah ANET would help themselves out a great deal if they allowed us to report hackers more specifically. Sometimes it’s difficult to get a screenshot that really shows what’s going on.

You’re kidding right? I’m a staff guardian and there are 0 teleport moves with the staff. You can as a guardian teleport to the nearest ally or enemy with utility skills, however clearly in the video you can see him teleporting to nobody.

I encountered 3 on opening night map hacking into fully upgraded towers that had never been taken, no damage ever done to them. I caught them in the act and prevented a cap of one of the towers. They were reported.
I encountered 3 different players on saturday, 2 mesmer and 1 elementalist. Up to the same tricks as on opening night, but also destroying siege from under the map and inside walls. They were reported.
I encountered 4 different players today, 3 mesmer and 1 guardian. Two mesmers in the EB Jump Puzzle, which one of them stayed around for a while so I partied with some Dragonbrand players from GASM, and they helped me by reporting and trolling the hacker. Then another mesmer flying around the map above the ground and lastly that guardian in the supply camp.

I am a commander, and I have nearly 1600 hours of WvW gameplay. I understand the game mechanics very well and anyone who knows me, can easily back that statement.

But again I’m not blaming Dragonbrand as a whole. It’s unfortunate they seem to be plagued by hackers this round. I can’t understand why and I doubt anyone else would be able to answer that either. There are still LOTS of honorable and respectable players in Dragonbrand and I chat with some of them daily.

Also Evalana, I believe we do have the right to complain about them here if we want to (with evidence). You try spending a lot of gold on upgrades to have those losers snipe fully upgraded stuff, or destroy all your superior siege.

There should be nothing wrong pointing it out with evidence on here.

I’ve reported roughly 10 hackers so far this matchup, ALL of them from Dragonbrand.

While I don’t blame the entire server for the actions of 10 people, it is concerning to see this many in only 2 days so far, from the same server.

As long as it doesn’t add more lag for the larger fights, I’d be happy with this feature.

Not sure why there are so many complaints about not getting badges.

All you have to do is tag, and move on. (and make sure you pick up your loot bags before they vanish)

Best I’ve ever done is gain 74 badges (226 kills) in an intense 60 minute fight. I’m also a healer style Guardian, although you DO get credit for kills via Retaliation Buff.

It’s the same old story: “oh we’re amazing because when I wake up you guys have very few points”.

erm, no? you’re winning because you have more oceanics. um, congrats?

Why does there need to be a point system? Why not have the winner move up and the loser move down?

There are 3 players, two from the guild “Forever United” (Dragonbrand) and one is guildless that are pulling this crap on us atm in Eternal Battleground. They just took Mendon, Anza and Veloka Towers from us by map hacking.

We’ve been mass reporting them as we see them, but obviously the damage is done and fully upgraded towers are now paper once again.

I’m sure that guild could careless about what is going on given their name…

I missed fight club, so how was it? My guildies said it was boring, but surely something set up 24 hours in advance wasn’t boring, really?

Anyone other than the usual 4 or 5 people who show up, want to give fair duels a try just mail me ingame. Win or lose, you can learn a lot. Very good practice in the event you lag a little and stray from your zergball. shock

The culling is far worse to those with today’s computers. The culling is better for those still using computers made by the dinosaurs.

Why would any company in their right mind, cater to the past and not to the future?

Only a WvW player would complain about not being able to place siege in the Jump Puzzle.

Duels should never be bigger than 5v5 (most are 1v1). If anyone wants to fight on a scale bigger than 5v5, isn’t that what the rest of WvW is for? Duels are intended to be small scale to avoid the general zerging of WvW, and to avoid the massive flaws in sPvP. But more so to work on your own individual skills.

If you insist on having “duels” bigger than 5v5, just take your group around WvW and practice against other big groups you come across. For example, WäR had a lot of fun fighting the larger [WM] guild in Eternal Battleground on reset day. Sure conditions weren’t always perfect for either side, but I’d go out on a limb and say both guilds are totally fine with that.

Well, seems as though I was mistaken about Kaineng not being ready for higher tiers. Well, their Oceanics are, their NA…not so much.

Either that or our oceanics were taking the night off. It does happen from time to time.

Only reason Kaineng should be in tier 2 is because of their Oceanic presence. Now don’t confuse that with saying their Oceanic presence is great. Of course you look amazing when you can queue maps while your opponents are asleep.

As far as talent level between Kaineng’s NA and Oceanics, well that’s tough to compare because the Oceanics aren’t put against other server’s daytime numbers.

Congrats on finally taking all of EB Kaineng. Your golem rush was larger than the total number of Maguuma on the map. -_-

Finally… an opposing guild with skill. It’s been a lot of fun fighting against War Machine in Eternal Battlegrounds.

You rolled us a few times and we rolled you a few times. Impressive what you guys can do with that many players. I need to do some more recruiting…

I don’t mind the downed state at all. What I do find annoying is being able to revive someone completely dead in WvW.

Look at the post above yours. They’re a good guild on Maguuma. If you want to play, they’re receptive to setting up fights sometimes.

You should really consider switching to natural colors for WvW.

As far as the picture goes, that was during our daily completion run. All we had left to do was crafting. We were nearby and too lazy to waypoint to another map, so we figured Dragonbrand might be willing to share their crafting stations with us. We all completed our dailies, although some of you were against the idea of sharing.

Well we’re losing as expected…. but at least we got the first waypoint on any map (Eternal Battleground Green Keep).

What is there to debate? I think it’s pretty obvious that Kaineng has more pugs than Maguuma does.

I think the problem is most players only ever go into WvW for the jumping puzzle, since thats basically the only way to get badges for a legendary.

Or you could simply find a decent group to run with and kill enemies. Winning or losing I can get about 100 badges a day from kills. Sure I play a lot but even if you’re only on for an hour or two, you can still rack up a lot over a short period of time.

I apologize for showing up late (I just logged on) in that new GOAT video posted by testpig, but I arrive at 5:40 (Guardian with Ghastly Shield and Firebringer Sword running up the stairs) and then do a bubble push at 5:48.

Not a bad defense there by GOAT, wish I had been there earlier to see it with my own eyes. Nice use of a choke point.

How come we only see the same people from BP willing to have some fun at the duel competitions? Would be nice to see some new faces, perhaps some well known BP commanders showing up. Win or lose, just show up and have some fun.
