Between this fiasco and the BWEs that were not really exciting, and probably too bugged to be called beta (broken chain events galore!), I’m seriously worried about the expansion.

That would be great. Even when you’re interested, you don’t need to have them permanently displayed (and I don’t play GW2 from my bathroom, so no need of extra reading).
Maybe adding a notifications system would help.
Display them on connect, for a few seconds, then they go in a dedicated notification panel, or maybe the ig mailing window, like the messages you get after completing renown hearts

You still can use the title Faithful, when you hit your 3y. That’s what I do, I’m like you, no other thing to show my dedication, but you know, precursors/legendaries have never been a real proof of that. Titles are the best proof I think, the anniversary ones, or the Hall of Monuments ones, if you played GW1 back in the day.

About GW2, just /wiki through it!

Testing for a few days now, and like many players here I appreciate the change.
I’d modify or add a few things to make this cam improvement perfect to my taste :
– more zoom out (mad king bug <3)
– first person view
– a slider that would modify the cam vertical position (like the horizontal one… that would help see something as a norn when cam is near)

Another thing I’d like to be able to modify is the HUD, something between the actual possibilities and what we could do in the 1st GW.

I’d like a Mag, PSO style…

I don’t come from a PnP RPG background, though I played some Stormbringer and Metabarons (and even FFRPG) 10 years ago, but I too like to play MMOs and games generally for their story, and how I can include my character in it, more than the games offer at first sight. And I’m generally not interested in PvP or grind-induced content.
So I add my voice to the choir here, because this isn’t the GW2 I loved anymore.

By the way, thanks Blood Red Arachnid.2493 for bringing back such good memories, PSO was so great! Another thing it did quite well is social interaction. with shortcuts to personalizable speech bubbles and a nice load of emotes, it was really complete, and would easily help add some personality to our avatars

Just to finish, a suggestion for Vayne.8563 : a game series I’d recommend you to try, if you don’t already know them, is Dark Souls, and their cousins Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne, if you own a PS3 or PS4. Because these are games that tell quite a story, though not by usual means (you get it from the world design, the item descriptions, and even the few npcs, but they all leave many things to your own interpretation).
They are mostly solo action rpgs, but with multiplayer functionnalities. Oh, and they offer a nice challenge based on your skills and observation capabilities. ^^

As a french man, who didn’t know, and didn’t care to look for the meaning of “gullible”, i’m very interested in these lands!
