Season 1 ever going to be revived?

I’m sure it comes up consistently on here. But I played only part of the time that was going on and would love to catch the rest. However, obviously its been something no one can do. Since I havent played for about half a year was wondering if the talk of bringing Season 1 to our personal Story is still hopefully something that will happen. Any word on this or Anet just saying read the wiki for story you missed?

Short answer: Nope
Long answer: Hell no
Anet answer: when its ready

Havent been around these parts in a while. How I have forgotten Anet and their ways. “When its ready” means somewhere between tomorrow and never. I wouldnt mind a kitten experience even just something that fills in any gaps with characters/story. I guess I do like getting new story though so I can understand the decision and ok with it.

I definitely understand as I played some of it how it would require a rework. But I just like the story and lore and a good chunk of that is missing. Such as why everyone is calling me boss and the history of the group like when you do the main story line for Season 2 where Rytlock goes into the mist for the sword why does he hate Rox? I’ve learned this stuff but if you never played around that time at all there are alot of things that you just miss in that aspect so I would like to see atleast the story played out. So I was just hoping that they had some news on that since when I stopped playing months ago their were rumors about it being made. Thanks for the info guys!

Will we still need our agony infusions for HoT? Is this system changing with the masteries or are these still required?

Frankly I could care less about gear and more about play style. If traits and skills are being swapped to meet completely different goals I’m fine with not needing different gear. Just cause you run in their with Zerker, Sinister, and Knights gear that doesn’t really say much other than you have 3 gear sets. As long as you have to change play style and use different skills in different ways I find it much more relevant.

While i would like to see a change from the Zerker meta the raids meet the mark in requiring changing skills/traits from what I’ve seen. While a ramp up timer would be more interesting im more concerned with the content than the meta-gaming around the content. Since its difficult either way dont see much of an issue just nitpicking at this point.

Not going to waste my time since alot of this is misinformed. But there is ALOT left to explore if you have played Guild Wars you would be excited they might move living world towards Cantha, Elona, Eye of the North, Fire Island Chain, and the Crystal desert just off the top my head without even thinking about it. Having raids take up small parts isnt a big deal.

Not a fan of Masteries.

I knew people would hate it but I LOVE that you have to go a bit without gliding. Take a look around and appreciate the game around you. You would skip it all just going to objectives without them and thats fine but first time through it shouldnt kill you to hoof it. You appreciate the masteries more once you get them as well.

As for expanding progression for end game they are great. You see them as “Grindy” because you want the benefits right now. However you will get them simply by working towards other objectives in EVERYTHING you do. So just set other goals and you will notice progression over time.

I figured I would do what I could to get as much of the exclusive goodies I could from this event. However after doing 4 of these and getting rewards for only 1 attempt is disheartening. I expect a few bugs ok but 25% the time I get something out of this isnt worth any of my time. I completed 3 through their entirety and on the third try i got something. Then on my 4th the zerg at a point was so large i lagged out and lost my 9 stacks for that event. Log back in and event is starting over and I have no stacks…..

Have you not heard of the “Map Bonus” system? Cause thats exactly what it sounds like you want. I believe it was partly in the last beta. Someone feel free to correct me if im wrong about that.

Mastery Waypoint Suggestion

So in the POI that covered the Mentor Mastery they stated they didnt want to let friends teleport to you so that they dont miss out on the massive world they have made which I agree with. But since I have map completion on one character can we get a mastery that gives other characters access to the waypoints i’ve unlocked on my other character? Just my 2 cents on an idea I would LOVE to have as i enjoy playing with a few other professions every now and then.

I would hate to see those traits go but you do have a good point. I wouldnt mind more alecrity stacking and more time shifting abilities in place of shatters for days. It would fit the theme alot better. I enjoy playing the Chrono ALOT but you do make fair points of how it does seem more shatter crazy than what you would expect. A suggestion I think would be great and time themed is freezing or displacing illusions in time and allow a massive shatter instead. I do understand how that could be difficult to allow for balance sake but would be thematically epic IMO.

Everyone complaining about the fact that vanilla version of GW2 makes the realization that common sense is a myth all the more real. The instant they announced this i was like cool now people can join easier since its a BONUS to the game. If you are unhappy with the game you bought dont get the expansion. That simple but complaining they added something for free that isnt particularly helpful to you doesnt mean you lose anything.

You just dont gain as much. I dont understand all the fuss they have explained this and it seemed simple enough from the get go. People just want something to complain about is my understanding which there are legitimate complaints but this isnt one of them. If they gave out a free key chain would you complain you already have that one? Same idea on a more basic level.

Teq, Triple Trouble, and Dungeons

I am a casual gamer (no ascended armor/weapons or legendaries) but one thing I do enjoy is a challenge. I dont get people calling me stupid or trash really ever (except PvP but you always get salty people there). I dont want Triple Trouble dumbed down to a level it goes on farm. Where will be the satisfaction of a successful kill? I have been in 2 super close attempts on it that just barily fell short, but im sure after i get it that level of satisfaction will be so sweet!

We dont need another farm rotation world event. its among the few really engaging large group fights. This content can exist just remember if you dont want to do it the beautiful thing is there is NOTHING forcing anyone to even try it. You dont get “better” gear and you dont need it to complete anything. Let the rewards reflect the difficulty and i say step up the dragons (They are elder dragons after all). I want fun engaging content there is nothing that requires anyone to do this stuff or anything in GW2. Thats what makes it awesome!

I looked on here didnt see anything about this but our 2 guild leaders have been inactive for “Unknown” and the other 1 year 3 weeks 4 days. Is there any way to get leadership transferred to the next highest ranked person still active?

Been gone from the game for quite a while and trying to get back into it. Just curious to see what people think for gear comparison. Do people run any tank heavy builds or does damage outscale it in terms of usefulness in PvE, WvW, and PvP.

Looking at all the popular builds out there for like thief and mesmer I noticed next to nothing going towards defensive stats. Some builds might grab some tough/vit but not much. As someone who isnt the biggest fan of glass cannon i also am not a big fan of getting wrecked. The games alot better established than when I last played so just curious as to what people think. Do points in Pow/Con/Pre/Fer go farther than points into Tough/Vit/(Healing power even though I believe that stat to be useless in general. Feel free to prove me wrong.)

Carrioncrow didnt even think about getting the auto crit on HS that is good thinking. I am 80 and only recently discovered the awesomeness that is D/P. It took me a while to figure out what was stealthing me lol. It was making me angry cause I could randomly stealth. Once learned its easy to use and that blind is awesome. On top of them being blind, your stealthed, and your also in there face. Im going to test the 100% crit out now

It just lacks consistency is my biggest issue with it. If they could make it actually land most the time then it wouldnt be so bad. The ripping idea is a good way to give it some flavor as well. It needs one of three things to put it in the right spot. More damage, buffs, or debuffs. Right now yea its not worth while. I have recently fell in love with D/P for my melee damage.

How Anet could make the Steal Skill Awesome.

Lol opinions being argued as fact is always hilarious. As for my opinion is its really lackluster vs other classes. I myself think its under powered and not that great. Everything you can steal you can find in the world so it seems alot less special. I would prefer different weak utilities for the F-skills. The items arent bad its just not that unique really. The best part about the skill is the shadow step.

I would love the sword dagger combo but yea the skill makes it not worth it compared to many of the other dual skills being stronger and more consistent.

I go with Vitality for the theif just for the extra dodging you can get. That in its self is reduced damage and in certain fights where not having dodge up means death i shine in dungeons just cause of the extra endurance.

If your goal in this game is to brute force your way through you will fail at this game. If you dont like not having that option its not the game for you. Its pretty much that simple. Since the core philosophy is skill vs loot and this game went with skill. I prefer it all content gives loot and its all still fun.

Are you asking for an unarmed/fist fighting? Cause I would love that personally. I will assume in add ons down the road they will have new weapons since the game like all MMOs need to evolve over time to survive.

Well idk if its a perfect system but when I got one it showed character name so I added to friends then reported the account that popped up.
