I bought gems through the game via paypal today. I accidentally refreshed the page and my internet stopped responding so I had to close it. I couldn’t find the transaction in paypal or anyway to pay for the gems (I did not receive them in game). I ended up buying new ones. I was able to pay for these. Was this the right thing to do? Will I get charged twice? How can I prevent this in the future? And will I get banned for the first payment not going through?
Basically just what it says. When I try to log in it keeps saying downloading 0KB (0KB/sec) before going to connection error(s) detected. I will keep going back and forth. Anyone had this problem before?

Hi, I’m not sure how this works or if there is a better spot for this, or even if this is allowed, so I’m sorry if this causes any trouble. Backstory My FH(Future Husband) and I met on Guild Wars 2. We are trying to set a date and get a venue this week. And I had a great idea to get him something old, something new etc. as we get closer to our wedding. It would end with something blue being the white gold and sapphire wedding band that we picked out and that I am currently saving to buy him. The something new is going to be a new book, and the something borrowed will be the cuff links his dad wore when he married his mom. Back to present and my request I need something old, and he has mentioned several times being sad that he is missing skins he deleted due to inventory space or because they were soul bound and he deleted that toon. Specifically on a human warrior that he deleted to make an asura warrior to match my asura guardian when we started dating. I was wondering if there is a way that he could get those added to his wardrobe? He has no idea I am doing this, so please don’t tell him. His account is Tyrill.5740
I don’t know much about the Engi, but I would definitely give other classes a shot. You don’t have to play through the whole thing just go into PvP and give them a whirl. I personally have 5 lvl 80s ( I regularly play 4 of the 5), and since each play through is different it’s a different experience each time.
The POINT is that I with some guildies STARTED a breach map, successfully ran a breach, and brought people in to breach, and I ADVERTISED on LFG for a BREACH map, which then got TURNED into a keyfarm map between events, and the I got TOLD to leave. What is wrong with keyfarming-nothing if they do it on THEIR own map, but they don’t, or stop between events, but should I have to wait for 100 people to run out of shovels on a map I STARTED? They wait for a breach jump ship, and then farm until they are out of shovels again effectively RUINING the maps they jump into and telling people who where there first to GIVE UP THEIR hard earned magic find boost because they decided this map looks good.
And by the by @Garrisyl they created the toxicity when someone asked them to help with the event that they up leveled and they started yelling about how THEY OWNED the map, and saying that anyone who event THOUGHT that they should help was several unrepeatable words.
I can because 3 maps in 2 days have
1) Not stopped chest farming
2)Upscaled events by running through them without doing anything
3) Start on a map where I was there from phase one or previously completed a breach
4)Interrupted an attempt at an organized map.
5) Asked me to leave because they were there first.
Is it possible to stop the chests from spawning during the Pact preparation and breach? And only make them available during the break in between? Otherwise those of us who want to do the events keep getting screwed over while most of the map just runs in circles until they all run out of shovel and upscale the events which normally at most have 3 people actually doing them them.
If I change maps, and am able to with the help of the other complete a successful breach it invariably turns back into a key farm and I am told to leave because I am doing the events, and that they were here first. Even if I am in the map from the fist level, and no key farm is taking place, they were ALWAYS there first.
Off topic but addressing Calcanius’s comment above: As for trains ruining someone else’s game, I don’t see it. The trains are specifically set to defeat a champion that is usually not soloable. Take the train away and you have a champ running around chasing low level characters anyway.
Have you ever done an event before the Zerg gets there? I did the Dredge Commissar (before the mega server) right before the Zerg got there. People got all kinds of crazy and mad, not just at me, but some of my guildies on the train. Didn’t matter I wasn’t following the train, and it didn’t matter I had just way pointed in. It would be the equivalent of telling a bunch of Bliebers that you signed the petition to have him deported.
I would appreciate it if the tags would come down in PvE. I realize that tags are great for things like guild events, and WvW, but we don’t really need them for every event in every zone. However, I firmly believe that having commander tags in PVE does more harm than good.
The first thing it does is create zergs everywhere and events aren’t the fights they are designed to be, but a mob of players simply using auto attack. All you have to do is tag mobs and collect your loot the group will do the rest.
The second thing is that it creates trouble in zone between players. Sometimes this trouble is players getting yelled at because they aren’t on “Train” of events and the map is full, or they do events out of order. Sometimes it’s the commanders fighting with each other about who’s tag should be up and why the other should take it down. I hate to brake it to you commanders who do this, but your tags are the same size. :P
Thank you for your time I know this has been written before, but with mega servers I have personally have seen an increase in the issues above, and it is really hurting my gaming experience, and if that is the case I am sure there are others out there who feel the same.
When I log in online a Texas IP address shows up as logged in at the same time. I don’t live in Texas, and it’s a diffrent IP. I’ve changed all my passwords and added this authentication thing, but it still shows up. I am worried that my account is being hacked and I don’t know what else to do.
I think basically in the end not knowing how to play different classes or how to play with different classes in a range of specs is really the hallmark of an incompetent player. Refusing to run with these classes and builds just proves it.
I think a lot of it is the attitude a lot of warriors have(not all of them), but in general I have been very put off by them. It’s one of the reasons I haven’t even tried one. Example: Warrior gets downed in the middle of a boss fight or even at the end and acts like the rest of the party can’t finish the fight without them.
the answer is simple really.
warrior, guardian, ele, mesmer anything one of the other useless classes can do one of these main classes can do it better.
until a.net decides to make the others either part of the meta or changes the meta nothing will change .
So you need 3 guys to do the job of one engineer?
Healing, condi-cleaning, dps and control. Not even is the engineer the most versatile class in the game, he can easily specify himself for even outperforming any part you perceive as the actual “meta”. And that can be done by many classes, including those you failed to understand
The group I run dungeons and lvl 49 fractals with:
Me, our enginner – group-heal / nades dps (and therefore dps-groupsupport) / control
1 ranger – pet-tank and dps / control
1 ele – dps / additional heal if needed
1 mesmer – dps / control
1 necromancer – condition-mancer
Sometimes one of our group got no time, so we must use the lfg-tool for dungeons (never would I run a fractal with someone who’s not in my ts-channel), and everytime we get a warri or guardian I really feel sorry for them. Yes, it sometimes proved as false prejudice since we found someone who actually can play his class, but often enough we got a complete kitten with us who kisses the ground at nearly every boss (or even sometimes on the way to them). And no, I don’t feel superior to people who just started the game and lack the training, but those who fail constantly while running around with 11k achievement-points and a fency legendary on their back which served no purpose but to polish the ground.
A clear sign for a rally-bot: a warri who joins our group from the lfg-tool and tries to kick our ranger. happened yesterday…
I know what you are talking about polishing the ground, and I have been like your friend where a pug comes into a premade group and tries to kick me! I swear some people are so RUDE! Still best run ever was 5 Guards running HotW p1. Super fast easy and fun, plus everyone was really polite.
I’m not lying when I tell you I had someone seriously suggest I delete my ranger in favor of a warrior. It’s really good to hear from all of you in support for other classes.
So I’m going to be honest with you all… I have never even tried a warrior. I main a ranger and a guardian, and I play a necromancer a fair amount too. I felt the need to write this though because people often ask me, “Why don’t you play warrior?” or tell me the classes that I play “Don’t really do anything,” and sometimes I am just kicked from parties because I choose to bring my ranger to a dungeon. And you will all have to trust me when I say that I am not playing fetch with my pets using my bow as a stick when I am running a dungeon. Sometimes from the way people talk you would think you ate a bunch of lead as a child to play anything besides a berserker warrior this is simply not true.
So the question remains why don’t I play a warrior? Why don’t we ALL play berserker warriors? Anet could definitely cut down the size of Guild Wars. There wouldn’t need to be any light or medium armor. They could cut out a ton of weapons, limit the stats and nix most of the runes. No pet or minion AIs to worry about. WvW would certainly be different with zergs just charging strait at each other and using A Hundred Blades on as many enemies as possible. Dungeons would be just charging through and dpsing the boss. If that can’t be done ie: the new TA path no one would run it and perhaps Anet would eventually remove it.
The answer for me is simple: Support. I love supporting the parties I am in. My ranger pulls and kites extremely well. I can drop a healing spring and blast it once myself and if we have a guardian with a hammer it can blasted two more times. I love removing conditions, giving boons and healing my party. All of my toons do these things very well; I almost always have a group heal. These are things that berserker warriors typically don’t do. A majority of the berserker warriors I know run signets, but if you are running banners or shouts, you still don’t have a group heal. Berserker warriors aren’t built for group support.
Group support is the main reason I chose Guild Wars 2 over other MMOs. I like the idea of the party working as a single unit. I like the idea that dungeons can and world events can be something more than a dps race, and I sincerely hope that Anet helps promote and facilitates this. Because if there was more things in the game similar to the new TA dungeon where I can go through with 1 ranger 3 guardians and an elementalist and get through in 45 minutes, but a group that is trying to speed run it with 3 warriors a mesmer and and elementalist can’t make it through I think this question would get asked a whole lot less. Because conditions, blocks, buffs, and stripping boons should never be called useless, and a game that dares to break the holy trinity should be more than a dps race.

I think FC has given up. Everyone I know guests and even the overflows do better. Right after reset and it’s the same thing. I don’t think FC will ever be coordinated enough to do it.
First off Ranger isn’t an easy class to play period. If you are looking for something that survives well something like a guardian would be better, and I recommend having a different class for dungeons and WvW.
Now to answer the question you asked. A BM(Beast Master) is viable, but it requires you to manage your pets (which have a really bad AI) a lot. I recommend giving the LB(Long Bow) a try with the #3 skill’s inadvisability I can direct the Agro back to my pet, which means you should switch to either a Axe/Warhorn or a GS(Great Sword).
As for soloing anything above a silver or normal mobs I would be very careful, and for the most part as a ranger I avoid it.
So I think collecting all the dyes should be an achievement and hopefully with a fun title.

First I really hate commander tags in PvE, it makes commanders in WvW look bad. Secondly I think that having the commanders use a unique font is a great idea. I don’t play WvW that often, but when I do I really don’t want to sort through chat channels. Thirdly the colored tags would be an excellent addition. Tying commander tags to some sort of experience not just money is necessary if commanders want people following them because all to often I hear the argument, “They apparently had 100G to throw away,” or “They don’t really know what they are doing; they just farmed 100G for the tag.” As tags are now they do not represent ABILITY, but more often represent arrogance and occasionally stupidity.
I have some suggestions for Commander Tags.
1) They be a WvW item only.
2) They be tied to WvW achievements, rank or lvl not just 100G.
3) If we need a PvE tag that it be tied to PvE achievement points.
Is it just me or is TA Forward up way to hard for a lvl 55 dungeon? A full guild run on vent with lvl 80s wiped. I’ve seen the video where they burn him in under 50 seconds, but unless you bring a group specifically for that dungeon (no pugs allowed), you just aren’t getting it, or am I missing something?
First off: I will believe the changes when I see them. Especially the split of PvE and WvW from sPvP changes.
Secondly: If the Necros are getting an ability to get away and the Warriors are getting one to stay on someone why can’t Rangers have one too?
Thirdly: I get the feeling the Devs are hiding something from us rangers. They were mostly like look at these awesome changes for these awesome classes, and ignore the other classes behind the curtain.
Fourthly: Our underwater down skill “lick my wounds” was mentioned as op. Aka expect nerf.
Lastly: They never ever mentioned what they had envisioned Rangers to be, so the fight must go on.
I just finished leveling my Guardian, getting her dungeon gear now. I enjoy playing her. When I first started leveling her, I was like OMG I’m useful! I got a ticket today and Idk if I should get the longbow(because I love that skin) and hope that Rangers and the LB get better, or get something for my Guardian. I think I’ll wait to see what the Devs say tomorrow.
But on a more relevant topic, I know what you mean my Ranger feels clunky and off. Despite using a SB and trying both the Axe and the LB after the patch, I’m back to my condi build, but I can’t be bothered. I loved PVE and especially FotM. I hit lvl 30, and now I struggle with anything above 18. I struggle getting a group, and at this point having a Ranger is almost embarrassing. I occasionally hear them joking referred to as “Charity Cases”, but sadly there is some truth to that. Until Rangers get the changes they need in PvE I will probably be on my Guardian.
