I mean which recipes I’ve unlocked, not which disciplines I’ve unlocked. Seriously, it would be a lot more user-friendly when you get a recipe book if you could see which recipes you’ve already unlocked, so you don’t waste the book and pick a recipe you already know. AM I RIGHT?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but why do we slow down when in combat? It is counter-intuitive and can be rage-inducing when trying to flee? What was ANet thinking?
Thanks,
Latkes
I keep getting these recipe books, which gives you one free recipe, but I can never remember which recipes I’ve already picked. I know you can use the Hero panel to view the recipes you’ve unlocked for the 2 disciplines that are active, but what about the inactive disciplines? Do I really have to travel to a crafting station and pay 40 silver to activate it just to see what recipes I’ve unlocked?
Thanks,
Latkes
This is a small thing — change the background color of the “pick up loot” notice. Right now it’s brown, the same color as the “pick up banner” notice. The same color means that, when I’m fighting a champ and don’t have time to read, I sometimes pick up a banner instead of some loot, causing me to lose my skills until I drop the banner.
On a related note, perhaps the background color of the “rez player” notice should be changed so it’s not the color as the “rez npc” notice. Sometimes I find myself rezzing an npc instead of a player, because I couldn’t tell who I was rezzing.
Thanks,
Rob
How about varying the color of the pick-up (F) sign? Right now the color is brown for all things like looting, picking up banners, picking up ice bows, etc. So often in the heat of battle I will accidentially pick up a banner when I think it’s loot, simply because I don’t have the time to read the sign. Maybe have a green sign for loot and a brown sign for the others?
Thanks,
Rob
The Melandru meta-event won’t start on the Borliss Pass server. It’s been stuck for almost a week now.
Rob
They fixed it! Hooray!
Please stop asking level 80 players if they’re sure they want to salvage a green item…
I don’t understand why this hasn’t been fixed… it’s been over a week.
Same goes for Borlis Pass… over a week now.
my point is that there should be NO attack for this skill
This skill gives a speed boost, allowing the guardian to run away from a fight… so why does the skill cause the guardian to attack too? This causes enemies to follow him, or even worse, for him to stop moving. Please remove the automatic attack.
On Borlis Pass. Izzmek won’t budge. For over a week now.
Because it’s called world exploration, that means everything. I feel like you fail to understand how easy it is to guest to a server that is dominating and get those last few spots in ~10 minutes. Of all the possible things you could complain about, you choose one of the most illogical ones. Like the people who ask why you have to WvW for legendaries, yadda yadda blah blah whine whine. Willing to farm for hundreds of hours doing the same thing, but when they have to actually go do something besides spam 2 skills they complain about it. Ya’ll confuse me to no end.
Uh, I’m pretty sure you can’t guest in WvW. If you go to a guest server and then try to enter WvW, you are bounced back to your home server.
I understand the confirmation helps low-level players from accidentally salvaging green items. However, the confirmation is a real nuisance for high-level characters. We already have lots of gold and now need tier 6 salvage materials. Am I sure I want to salvage this item worth only 1 silver?
Please, ANet, remove this confirmation for level 80 characters.
That happens sometimes for me too.
If it’s your first character and you are just starting out, you probably aren’t going to be able to craft stuff to wear as you level up. This is largely because you level so fast in this game, that you level faster than you can farm mats for your crafts.
Yeah, I guess that’s the bottom line. At least for some crafts, f you wanna craft stuff you can use, you need to either buy much of the materials or spend extra time farming.
BTW I switched to tailoring and found that I had enough materials to make it to level 150 without buying anything except for the spools that the instructor sells… and the stuff I’m now crafting is as good as the stuff I’m finding in the field. So maybe some crafts are easier to level than others.

Are you saying that, if I had started crafting earlier, by the time I got where I am now I be able to make things that are better than the loot that drops?
Anyway, since I have lots of iron ore but not copper ore, and soft wood instead of green wood, why can’t I use the better stuff for refining? It makes no sense that I have to buy the inferior stuff to craft.
How exactly is crafting supposed to help me? I’m a jeweler, but in order to make anything, I need copper ore — which I never find anymore since I’m already level 40 and find only iron and silver. Then, when I buy copper ore from Black Lion, I can make only a few items because most crafting material I’ve found requires level 50-or-higher jeweling skill. And the items I can make have terrible stats compared to the same items dropped from monsters.
The same applies to my other crafting profession, artificer. Just like copper ore for jeweling, green wood is required to make anything, but I never find it anymore… instead I have a ton of soft and seasoned wood. Shouldn’t I be able to use these more advanced woods? Anyway, even when I buy a bunch of green wood from Black Lion, I can make only a few things because most crafting material I’ve found requires level 50-or-higher artificing skill. And the items I can make have terrible stats compared to the same items dropped from monsters.
So basically I’m just buying a bunch of copper ore or green wood in order to make stuff that is worse than dropped loot, in order to raise my jeweling or artificing skill high enough that I can make stuff that isn’t worse than dropped loot?
Am I missing something here?
