Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone,

Currently located on the TC Sever, only played with WvWvW guilds such as WvW which was a SoR guild during season 1. Then from there I joined Hel (Helioz SoR/TC) I played with Helioz for the remainder of my GW2 time.

I’m now looking to come back. I mainly play a ranger but going to build up my other characters.

In game name is Waffles Sr. if anyone remembers me. Time zones that would be best for me are Late Europe and Early to Late North American (I can cover both zones, as I am living on the most eastern side of NA -3:30 GMT)

Hi this post ins’t to ask to make rangers better or worse. I just think a patch in the future to add special ranger emotes would be cool. IE /ride makes you jump on your pet and ride it (in position). This isn’t asking for a mount this is simply an emote that shows a ranger sitting on his pet (only if the pet is big enough to ride).

Lately a few guards in my guild has decided to take up one of their staff sigil slots with Superior Sigil of Water. The overall discussion on our guild forums are that the water sigil giving procs on hit and having a healing guard does a good bit of aoe heal for your zerg. It heals up to 5 people but if you have enough guards running and each of those guards running with staff and spamming 1. The sigil will proc, the cool down is on each enemy not on the sigil so if your staff is hitting 5 players thats 5 chances to proc this aoe heal. Our zerg fights have lasted a good bit longer and we’re finding that each fight has better outcomes now. We’re still testing on warriors and other front line classes but for now the census on a guard is that the water sigil is in fact very useful.

I agree with phantom’s points, the towers should protect the keeps, not sitting behind doing nothing. having keeps next to each other doesnt make sense either, a zerg can just rush in and take all 3 in 30 minutes.
See attatchments for a rough sketch of a borderlands idea that would make more sense.

I’m really sorry about this but how can you possibly look up and say a game that just came out of close beta is dedicated to its WvW… Theres no evidence to claim such a thing. Also saying GW2 was your first MMO, please go look at other games before you claim that GW2 is dying. Because you and a few of your friends think its gotten old, there are still many dedicated people to GW2. When GW2 first came out the player population was immense to the point every single server was full constantly, now its maybe 1/4 of that population still plays. This doesn’t mean GW2 or WvW is dying, but yes I think reworks and what keeps people interested thus why we just had a feature pack release and quite frankly it was a pretty good change to the game. Changes up things a bit.

This is clever. Guild orchestrated RP that relates to current fad’s. I have to give much credit to the people who did this. This is what true guild management is about, having your players join along and assist.

Coverage? This is WVW, why? The objective in WvW is PPT, to keep a good PPT rate you must have map control and able bodies to keep the objectives under your control. WvW sessions last for 1 week so the winner is the server that controls the most objectives the longest. People play in the “off hours” too so they need to be able to play. But you dont want this to affect your score? So my suggestion is go find guilds on other servers that want to help out that time frame for you.

Recruit thats simply my answer, all servers have done this to be able to assist their off hour time frame and this is the key to success. As a server populous its everyone’s responsibility to contribute to the PPT even doing some recruiting and training your off hour recruits adds up. It just takes a little effort on your part as a server, this issue which can be player fixed should not take up the dev’s hours to change because people refuse to try and make it work.

Well WvW seems to be the most frequent place to get precursors. In my guild within 1 week we got 2 precursors dropped in T1. One off a guard the other was off a quatermaster in bay. I think both were looted in keeps.

Edit: One of those people had 140+ luck the other had 100+ luck

This is also happening on Hills on the border lands. Walls fully up and Lord being pulled next to the wall and being killed. Watch this happened, you would say theif, but when I called the zerg to check it out we got numbers from the otherside of the wall that you would not be able to access normally.

I am seriously laughing myself to death over these 2 vs 1 bg threads. First off, tier 1 has always been 2 vs 1. For weeks BG and JQ spent HOURS tearing up our walls on bay/hills on BG BL and failed to cap it. 2 vs 1 on a single keep the entire NA raids. Now JQ and TC decide its time to push BG around all of a sudden BG has something else to talk about on the forums.

I have been on SoR since the beginning, when I came back to the game SoR was no longer T1 and all my friends were transfered, my guild came to TC because they wanted to stay competitive but did not want to join the personality of bg/jq. I came over to TC and actually found every aspect of what I do in game is being met here. Lots of friendly players from all over the world, RP actually exists here and very strong. PvE exist here, WvW is getting much much better.

All in All TC is actually a very relaxed and enjoyable server that you can still compete with the best and have fun. Not too many servers can say that I’m really loving TC <3

Who ever thinks ranger pets are OP are obviously unaware of the ranger class in general and most likely if they WvW its on lower teir servers. I play on TC which is a T1 server, I am a main ranger. I play vs other rangers, we are not seen as vital characters in WvW due to our low utility.

Ranger pets are very weak, they only offer a short moment of CC. There are Beast Master rangers who make their pets very strong but in turn the ranger itself is weak. If ranger pets are doing super high damage on you focus the ranger. If they are knocked down they can’t survive.

Theifs are a rangers worst nightmare, especially the stealth theifs. I noticed a theif on here is the one who is crying about ranger pets. This is why I feel this person has no clue what they are talking about.

Do some research and stop crying, next you’ll say Warriors are so underpowered?

Well as title states I’m inquiring about various skills that are greyed out in game. I know theres an elite skill that is only obtainable through the upgraded game pack. But I also noticed that theres a skill under healing called Water Spirit but I don’t have it and I’m trying to figure out why. Everywhere that I looked it only tells me what it is and not how to get it. Any suggestions?

Actually, last few small patches there have been hardly any patch notes. Or at least I can’t find them any wheres on forums/announcements.
