I wanted to just say thank you for all the friendly messages I’ve picked up on here / in game from people across all servers, I dunno how people find out things sometimes but it’s nice to know that we here in GW2 have a decent and supportive community (even if we do all troll like bosses).

To be fair, it would be pretty sad to see any of these three servers suffer from a ‘meltdown’. These matchup’s are always great fun and give great fights (both on the field and on the forum xD ).

We’ve all seen what happened to servers that do ‘meltdown’ and I really feel that T1 wouldn’t be the same without Sanctum of Jadegate fighting to win each week.

While in the past, I have had some major grief with IRON, in truth, it is always fun to fight you guys…when your not running off to lala pub land EB. Likewise, it is also fun fighting against TW, etc. I concur with Smokee, if losing like this every week brings us those delicious fights, bring it.

Just an FYI Rigel – Prior to moving to the NA tier’s we NEVER got to go to EB we have to do the borders all the time, bare in mind we played 24/7 back on Deso so that’s the same map for like 7 months.

Now when we moved over here we decided to mix it up a bit, so yes we do hang on EB and yes there are PuGS – BUT there are also organized forces, we’ve had great fun fighting HB / CA / MERC / RK / ESOL on both the borders and on EB. It’s not a crime to change maps, for us it’s refreshing and as a commander it’s pretty funny cause I have no idea what’s happening map wise most of the time

As for the fights, this week has been slow, as I’m sure weeks have been slow for you while SoR was ‘training’ ( ) but I’m sure it will pick up again. EU on here against BG / JQ and even TC is still very fun, I’d take this over EU any day.

Tarkus we all know that IRON is one guild, ok we have around 4000 members total but one guild cannot control 4 zones, which is why one guild cannot control the overall ppt. Plus we win more fights than we lose so whats that saying about your guilds? (and dont try using the numbers argument, as we are very often outnumbered)

Lol at 4000 members … My source informed me that was more like between 300 and 400 unless you gave your tag to every pugs you meet anywhere…
This kind of childish lies show how trustworthy are their members. At least they believe they are good… Nobody else do XD Why? Are you a WvW guild working for your server weekly match ppt and win : you stated you rank fights over ppt and dont care of WvW but more of GvG… Are you somehow high ranked in GvG ? Not even. Do your members are high ranked in spvp : no. Are they able to complete fotm 40+? : no. Are they dodging? no. But they use TS and have a nice tag that make them belive not to be any longer pugs, to be fair they are sweeter lootbags with this tag up there^^. So everything you keep doing is bragging on fake assumption about how great is Iron (with the equivalent of the half of Monaco states amount population as members) but you are a joke to many old timber harcore pvp gamers like me and many others.
Much respect to any of you who are worth it (so few :p), no consideration for others.

Titan, really? Before you comment on stuff you know nothing about at least try to get a clue – you can always poke and ask to avoid situations like this in which you look like a royal kitten.

IRON roster is like 110 with 20ish AFK for summer / holidays atm. And as for us losing commanders, dude, really… I’ve been the main commander of IRON since it began and the other two guys who command regularly have been here so long I can’t remember not having them. So ye we might be ‘few’ commanders but we have a year’s worth of enemy tears under our belts. Show me a guild with three solid commanders like ours Titan cause I can bet you 100g you can’t find one.

Oh and an edit cause I forgot to add- Are you high? We don’t tag up cause unlike you Titan, our members have two eyes and are clever enough to follow my beautiful behind without issue.

Ahhh finally can post again!

This week was a lot of fun during the EU day/night’s, we had a sick start of the week holding bay on BG border, so sad to lose it and kudos to BG for coming for it all the time we had one of the funnest weeks in WvW thanks to that.

To be honest the number counting game is getting so boring, I think we can all agree that the current meta is kitten but it is what it is until a change comes. Yes X guild might have a huge zerg but is that their fault? No. No one ever said WvW was about attacking each other in equal numbers all the time, nor did they say that using field siege is against the rules, even if it does make me a sad panda.

And as for IRON killing the Dolyak Parade, you can blame me for that, when I was a kid my Uncle ran a Dolyak farm which I visited every weekend. One visit I was out walking his prize show Dolyak ‘Dolly’ when the beast turned around and took a bite out of my side. This experience has left me with a hate for all Dolyaks, and naturally when I heard in map chat that the Dolyak Parade was started I saw red. I think everyone involved knows what happened after this….

Anyway, nice work all this week, sad SoR couldn’t keep that lead but BG you guys really are strong at the moment, props – Keep fighting the good fight!

Your signature pretty much sums up your post. IRON is EU. They play in the EU timezone, not SEA timezone.

Azure, IRON has been logging in early for pretty much the past 2 weeks. My guild fights them in mid/late SEA time every day.

Geez some of the stuff people post is crazy! IRON were on in the EU daytime last week mostly because I was bored and felt like dragging them into WvW, plus I had time to command in the day.

Don’t go thinking that we’re playing all day kitten and night – and as for hiding coverage, dude you crazy?

I think it’s blatantly obvious too all by now that SoR are not playing the PPT game and would rather have some open field fights!! So go upgrade every keep on every borderland to T3, who cares? But do come out for some fights!

@Smokee – Hi! Thanks for pointing out that my guild troll, I didn’t realize. I doubt that they will stop whispering you since we like to open field fight and not have to chase people into keeps/towers.

You write as if IRON has a million members, we too have 100 members with 30 on a social rank. The players we have that are active are very dedicated and like to hunt very much. We run with 30ish in our prime time and are never tagged, I don’t allow people in the guild who are not clever enough to follow a target icon.

Your protestation’s that you don’t run tagged are hard to believe since every time we have come against you in the past two weeks you have been tagged with an army of friendly’s behind you. That’s cool, I have to admit that often in EU daytime I myself run tagged in an effort to counter ATM/MERC. If you can’t beat them, call every person on the map!

As for GvG’s if your teams gear is that much of an issue we can come in green’s to make it fair, also remember that you can buy gear for badges very easily. I guess that’s assuming that you ever get any.

Did you even log in yesterday? Or the day before? Welcome back. Your server has been doing overtime.

I think the overtime comments rate right up there with the comments on all the new guilds SoR got.

I think you need to go read the locked thread where it is plainly said that some guilds are pulling overtime. There’s nothing wrong with it.

A few guys staying a couple hours later than normal isn’t equated to a “server pulling overtime”.

I know IRON was up from 9am their time yesterday, was insane watching about 15-20 IRON tags running around EB following that Purple haired charr during oceanic (early and late).

Oceanic today was a result of massive burnouts nothing more, we had a lower than usual turn out, before MERC started at 5pm AEST. We were on -120ish ppt.

Which by end of oceanic became 400. Burnouts happen.

First of all im not an offical IRON spokesmen im just 1 of the players who “glitched” through the gate. I did it 3 times in about 2 min.

How? I really dont know it, we were manmoding/facerubbing (no siege, brute power)
the gate and 1 after another got through it.

All the IRON ran up the stairs and jumped down. Before you say glitch through the gate en THEN kill the siege. Its bullkitten and big fat lie.

So this video shows pretty clearly what happened, and you can hear clearly on it that I am telling people to report the issue and to not attack anything inside, to jump out and get back to me.

The issue we had was that when at the water gate of any keep on EB you can’t drop siege, tried rams and golems but couldn’t drop anything for a large radius. So we just ‘facerubbed’ the gate down. We weren’t aware that it would cause people to teleport through the gate, if I were aware of it I wouldn’t have gone near it. We kept on the gate as by the time people starting porting through the gate was already significantly damaged and all of my members were leaving the keep if teleported to the other side.

We here in IRON don’t like exploiting / hacks and actively kick / report people who do resort to these lames ways of play. We prefer the head on approach of face vs zerg.

That being said, if you ever do have concerns with any member wearing an IRON tag feel free to give me a poke and talk about it.

Also, nice fights today in every borderland, and nice work from all the Rallians that hung out with us.

It’s been a grand couple of hours hanging with [IRON] helping hold Bay. Now I’ve had a bite to eat and am ready to get back to the fight. Wrex’s maniacal laughter as we chased down [TW] tags was just icing on the cake.

Yeah, I have to begrudgingly admit, while I was eager for the change at first last week, it’s nice to have JQ and BG back – a good solid wall of smash is quite satisfying.

That was an amazing day in JQ border, MERC on one side, ATM on the other…. Really some of the most epic and fun commanding I’ve had the pleasure of doing. Big shout out to all the Rallians that ran with us IRON’s throughout the day, you guys were amazing.

As it stands we still hold bay, I really thought we’d lose it when we pushed out onto the wall and wiped JQ only to turn around to a sea of MERC!!! Seriously very epic stuff from all three servers. Props to all involved.

Wish, I don’t care about other EU guilds, we actually have decent competition in our prime time. And don’t moan about stacking, we’re talking about the actual match-ups not how full servers are. It would make little difference if we were still on the EU tiers, they are as borked as the NA tiers.

One up one Down wouldn’t need ratings, it would just mean that people would fight harder to not be in third place. And quality of victory is laughable right now, and really will be for the foreseeable future. I don’t feel good about ticking 500+ all day every day, that is no quality of victory for anyone involved.

This way of matching servers is 100% worse than the old system, it is nonsensical in every way. What is so wrong with one up one down? It would work better than both the old and current systems of matching servers.

Really, you have start thinking about the people that play WvW. Not only have you made arrows carts game breaking and unmanageable, you’ve now managed to alienate players further by creating unreasonable match-ups that allow for even more stomping of outmanned players, and that’s without brinGing in the initial design flaw of how the points system works. Neither of the other servers in my servers match-up alone stand a chance, we will run them over all week, driving more people away from WvW and ultimately the game.

To be fair, we had some great fights in Bay, we actually hopped to EB cause we changed commanders and thought we might have some fun on EB. If you ever see us on a map / disappear from a map and want to fight just give us a whisper

I would like a few words with those saying IRON carried SoR.

IRON did not carry SoR. No, they strapped us to a rocket and blasted us into first. It was horrific! They come here saying they just want to sell us girl scout cookies and wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am the next thing we know we wake up strapped to this rocket flying at mach 3 about to land in god knows where, surrounded by god knows what, armed with nothing but a toothpick and a banana.

Yep, it was that cool honestly.

And yeah…. I have 27 unconfirmed kills with my toothpick.

I’m probably blind but I haven’t seen a topic about this issue. Since the last big update 9/10 times I enter bay on any border I disconnect! I know this has been happening to a lot of guild mates too.

Any ideas on why / or a fix?

@ graverr – You still don’t get it, I am one of the people in IRON who will always admit when we are blobbing, and I have actively been on the forums trying to come up with good alternatives that people can do to stop it from happening. Yet I am often the first to admit when it is happening.

You need to understand that what I wrote previously about last night is exactly what was happening. I haven’t managed to find any stream of last night from your POV but I have checked mine (yes I too stream) and it’s quiet clear that we do indeed have PuG’s with us, but again 30-35 IRON until 22:00 BST, like I mentioned above.

I’m not ‘distorting’ the facts, I am offering you a true view of what we were up to last night, that said I cannot promise that at X time on X day you didn’t see an IRON blob. Try to at least be reasonable when answering posts, it’s closed minded of you to assume that 1 IRON tag must equal 100.

Currently was wondering why so little effort is being put into WvW by Deso and SFR, was told we are purposly losing so we don’t have to face someone else, no idea if that’s true or not, but if it is, it’s pathetic.

Why does Deso target SFR? Probably because we’ve fought Vizunah alot longer than you have and it’s nice to have an opponent that offers us (sorry Viz) better fights and a lot more fun. It’s not really a conscious thing for most people where we go in and are like – lets aim for SFR and let Viz walk all over both of us (most of the time at least =D).

Well for me, when I’m commanding I tend to target SFR because frankly I don’t like them. That, and however much you say IRON blob, Vizombie blobs, while easy to kill, are downright scary in numbers and cause us horrific lag.

And to those whining about IRON blob’s yet again last night – We were on both Vizunah and Desolation borderland’s last night (exclusive of the Eternal folks who are awesome btw). There were exactly 25 of us on Deso border who assisted in taking garrison and killing some SFR, while on Vizunah border there was around 30-35. Even when we all moved back to Vizunah border (22:00ish BST – 00:00 BST) we were in two groups and working pretty independently from each other.

I don’t mind that you troll IRON and call us a blob all the time, but at least get some perspective – you aren’t being wiped by 900 IRON, you are being wiped by 25.

And to everyone that really believes that they haven’t blobbed in recent weeks – get over yourselves. You have, we have, everyone has. It cannot become the new thing to do, and even IRONblob are trying as hard as we can to stop it becoming the ‘norm’.

Please respect that, even if you don’t like us.

:D Awesome fun today / tonight on Viz border, we loved the SFR fights and Vizombie farms. Boat vs Boat seemed the perfect way to end the evening, that screeny is awesome. As mentioned above, IRON are chilling out this week, we’ll be out and about for fights and fun so come come!

@ Danielle – Thank you for noticing our effort to not mass up and blob on SFR border, I have to say the Vizunah force cough blob cough has been out in scary numbers the last few days. It will of course take a while before we get back to manageable numbers since as soon as one blob is spotted it seems everyone feels the need to do it in order to counter, sometimes it really is better to stay in smaller groups and just run rings around the blobs.

Here’s to this week’s matchup, funner fights than the last two weeks and a kitten of a lot less skill delay, at least for us on SFR Border :>

We have 3 guilds – Triangle which is pure WvW and hangs on the borderlands (SFR Border for the last two weeks), Eternal which is our EB guild lead by Tomoko and Moorta and Hall which is a PvE guild. Between all three guilds there is probably 300 active members but at no time are all of these people online or even in WvW.

It’s in no way a ‘mega’ guild, there are actually much bigger guilds than us on Desolation – again as I have previously mentioned Desolation is Very High Population, compared to SFR’s Medium, so that’s to be expected.
