Okay, so I litterally have so much of this stuff in my bank from salvaging a bunch of exotics. There just isn’t anything I really need to do with them, so they just keep piling up and now there’s a full stack+.

Any chance they could be used for other things besides crafting?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I’ve been wondering for a while now why the back items and weapons disappear once I perform emotes. Such as when dancing, I’m wearing fractal wings, but they vanish completely and looks displeasing.

However, I recently found out that if I perform emotes then take off and put back on back items or weapons, they will display properly! Why does it work this way?? Shouldn’t they be on a persons character at all times?

I’m slowly losing patience with Arenanet, they still have not responded to this thread or any of my Support Ticket responses on the matter (2x of them). I haven’t been able to see Team chat for nearly the whole month now. All I can do is hope that this bug is fixed with any upcoming patches. Thankfully Map chat works, so I can still slightly be informed about callouts.

But seriously, I’m disappointed in Anet for not answering me at all. At least a simple “Yes, we are looking into it” could reassure me, but this silent treatment only tells me that they either don’t care or don’t know how to fix.

Uncheckmark all the chat things and recheck mark them that fixes it. Not only the chat window box, but there is another box with the settings.

Could you explain that better? What “other box” is there with settings? I’ve already tried unchecking and rechecking the chat channels.

This just happened to me today as well. Every other chat is working fine except team chat in WVW. I don’t think it’s a client issue either. I have two accounts, and using the same computer and client, only one of my accounts has this bug.

Wow great! So I’m not going crazy then, my account must be bugged too. I submitted an actual ticket and now just waiting for a response from Anet…

Yes. I’ve tried that several times at least. I even removed the old chat tabs and replaced them with new ones. Nothing works, and Team chat simply will not display for the other borderlands.

Okay so a couple days ago I noticed my team chat was not working, but shrugged it off as the game client glitching out and decided not to do anything about it.

Now here I am playing again today, it’s the same problem and I cannot see team chat at all for some weird reason. I’ve restarted the game multiple times to see if that’d fix it, and also tried doing a -repair to the game target to no avail. Is anyone having this issue?!

I’m beginning to wonder if the current state of the game, why is it that when there is a patch, silly things like this happen… And then those bugs take even longer to be fixed?

2g for doing dailys and actually “playing the game every day” sounds pretty rewarding to me. I assume the reason PvE, PvP, and WvW rewards are the same is because, people are just comfortable doing one of the other two more. You can’t really blame people for not wanting to participate in other mechanics of the game, especially since there are so many different things you can do in general (daily wise)

What I would suggest, is a seperate reward list for each faction, instead of combining them all into one achievement. Meaning, you can’t combine three of the WvW and PvE dailes and still get the achievement. Instead, doing them seperately in which ever mechanic you want will give you the achievement AND the appropiate rewards based on what ever game mode you choose to do.

That’s my two cents…

This is a bump (Sorry). But I’m still curious about this feature. I’ve crafted about 6 legendary weapons now, and swap em between characters… Been running different builds lately, and need new sigils to swap when ever i decide to change builds. Has Anet given any new details on this?

Man I’ve been playing WvW since launch, but recently more casually than competatively. If they had implemented this new pip and ticket system earlier, I would have probably already had enough for the legendary backpack already. But I ain’t complaining, wvw has always been very rewarding already.

It’s as nosleepdemon said, if you take the grind out of the equation and play for fun, you’ll get to your goals eventually.

While I’ve never really played Gw1, but reading the wiki, i discovered the wide variety of emotes the game had to offer. Extra emotes with animations like /clap, /flex, /shakefist, etc. Gw2 has so very few in comparison.

Now I know animation isn’t a simple task, especially to add in bulk to game content. But, will there ever be more emotes implemented in the game at a future date?

Now hold on here, personally I prefer the difference in sound SAB boom boxes give off compared to player instruments. It would be pretty distracting to hear a boom box overshadow a players instrument.

It would also be pretty lame to hear multiple boomboxes at max volume… But that’s my opinion really.

Current LFG tool seems buggy

I know it’s not perfect, but at times the LFG tool kinda bugs out on me. I like to command squads doing World Bosses, HoT Events, and Event Trains. But often, I’ll notice the LFG lists I create will bug out, either displaying some weird digits like 1/0 or disappearing altogether.

The only fix I know, is to remove the status and then advertise it again. A better refresh system could prevent this. Any thoughts?

That usually happens to me, with steam overlay. A quick fix would be to refresh the overlay (I hit tab+shift twice). Are you using anything else running in your background?

Ohh boy, the pain and suffering is over!!

However, I want to point out once more that Zone-2 is slightly-buggy, and an overall long mess. I did it first 16 times just to get it out of the way. Zone-3 is a lot more fun, and I loved killing the Storm Wizard solo in trib mode >:).

It’s worth it in the end, so go for it and get it over with. Still 10 days left until festival ends (I finished in about 6 days). Oh and the infinite continue coin is definitely worth it if you want to get through everything faster.

Update: You know, after doing world 2 zone 2 a couple times, I gotta admit it’s not so bad. I’ve gathered about 13 tokens now, and just need three more.

HOWEVER, I discovered a bug with the trampolines. They seem very glitchy when ever a player jumps on them, and sometimes won’t even launch a person into the air. Also, they have a weird behavior of moving players to the center before it launches them up, which seems like a server-sided mechanic. Anet devs should probably change the way they work…

I’ve never really had much a problem with the trampolines (guess it’s cause my pings are low), but you’re right, sometimes they offset a bit and position my character to the center when i land on the edge of it. And sometimes, they don’t even launch me when I jump on them… But, honestly it never bothered me much cause it’s pretty easy to get by.

I’m more annoyed by the spikes, only because some of them are positioned in such a a way that the only way to get around them is to jump towards the very edge (almost as if you’re floating in mid air) of a platform. This is silly honestly, I don’t mind all the spikes, but it sucks when you have to jump to avoid spikes and at the same time try not to fall out of the map :P.

Without a doubt, I honestly feel tribulation mode in w2z2 and w2z3 will make anyone want to punch their screens out of pure blinding rage. Zone 2 took me almost 3 hours alone, and left my palms sweaty… I’ve seen guides for zone 3 (and they make it look so kitten easy), the map crazy long, and requires a LOT of precise jumps…

A real suggestion would be to add world 3 & 4 some time in the future.

Luckily I have yet to dc while in any of the zones… But that does sound like a good idea, can’t see how a mechanic like that can be implemented though..

I don’t like it either, but rng has a funny way of working in my favor. The other day, i looted Chaos Gun, and could not help but to link it in map/global chat. Not one of the better precursors out there; I know, but its better than nothing l right? I was freakin happy, but then one of my friends in our guild decides to go and loot an invisible box from a treasure mushroom… Man, everyone just has different luck I guess…

We don’t need that many bag space… You can already hold like, 80+ things without shared inventory, and that already sounds unrealistic for a real person to do. What do you want to be, some sort of walking artillery fortress?

Yes I can confirm this is a bug. Did DS twice and at both times all 3 Treasure mushrooms vanished within a 10 second countdown interval.

I just started getting connection issues yesterday as well. Ran some tests, and there is packet loss in between node/links. Not experiencing this with any other online games. This is an issue with anet servers, effecting only a small amount of users it seems. Or perhaps, a node has gone bad.

LAG issues NOT client sided.

I’m also from the US. In NYC. I recently got a new router, and switched from my previous one (switched from an Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT firmware to an ASUS RT-N65U stock firmware).

At first, I thought it was my router. But this isn’t the case for other games, or other applications using the net. Ran countless speed test, and everything was fine. Opened up Resource Monitor to check GW2 latency and it’s around 150ms-230ms. And this was in PvE alone! On some maps, I barely get any lag, and on others, I lag spike like every 5 seconds.

I did the path ping, here are the results,

Use your head. Are you gonna build an arrow cart to counter 5-6 other arrow carts? Or are you going to build a treb from a-far, out of enemy arrow cart range?

Then they build a treb out of range of your treb and treb your treb while you wasted valuable supply building that treb for acs

Well what d you do first? I scout enemy towers from my groups before we plan a full out treb attack. You obviously must scan for an enemy treb first. If you build a counter treb, the first thing you’re going to do is take down their treb. It’s common sense.

That should tell you that is not far enough.

No. When I place siege, it’s from the bottom-up of the walls. So arrow carts are much harder to be targeted. There is just no reason an ele should be able to easily target them like that.

I am not lying either, Dragon’s Tooth can hit arrow carts pretty spot-on.

I don’t know if ele’s are supposed to be able to take out inner-siege so easily. I could understand if this was done with a staff 5 skill, like “Meteor shower”. Because the aoe radius for staff skills are much larger

But lately, I’ve seen elementalist wreck inner-siege (well placed behind the walls), with scepter skills. I’ve even placed siege almost impossible to be targeted with AOE skills by players. Yet scepter eles somehow manage to easily destroy siege with scepter skills, like “Dragon’s Tooth”. And I don’t think it’s just arrow carts either.

I’ve seen a few eles hug walls before doing this, to avoid line of sight. Which is even more bizarre.

How the is this possible? Seems like a cheating tactic imo.
