I agree that a toggle could potentially be a good solution to help both parties!

Mounts - Feedback

I love how the mounts feel and I would honestly hate to see them given a quick, GOTTA GO FAST style of animation seen in games like WoW. As someone mentioned prior, it captures the same level of detail you would see in a single player game like the Witcher 3. I do agree however that the tail spin, while awesome when it does connect, does miss a majority of the time even if you’re right on top of the mobs. They also do get stuck on the smallest terrain details which, if fixed, would really improve their usability. It’s definitely a learning curve when you first get your mount but once you adapt to it they’re really well done outside of the few minor issues!

Charr and Asura female precursor armor

Boob plates should never be a thing on Charr, it’s horribly out of place when you import armor skins that look fine on humans and don’t take into consideration that Charr anatomy is drastically different. Clipping/floating shoulders are still a huge issue and even though it’s more work to model the armor to take into consideration manes and tails, it looks much better when that consideration is taken and models are rendered accordingly without tails clipping through your gear, manes disappearing entirely or your shoulders floating so far off model that there’s no point even wearing them at that point. Aesthetics are a huge part of any MMO and when non-human races get shafted, it leaves a large portion of the community bitter. We know it’s more than possible to model gear appropriately for the race, take the time and do it and you’ll have a happier community while increasing the number of people who want to do the content for the rewards provided. I’m personally tired of feeling like I have to play a human character or rely on outfits just to be able to put together an aesthetically pleasing armor set. Please stop poorly implementing human armor onto the the Charr and Asura.

Guild Hall Music The Caverns/Barren Heights

Was excited to hear this was fixed in the patch notes as well only to discover that the same bug is still present for our guild hall (Gilded Hollow). The song will play once selected but it doesn’t update in the guild panel to show that the song was changed to Music of the Caverns and remains as the previous selected source.

Guild Challenge won't start

Still bugged and considering how long it takes for the rotation to cycle through, it’s disappointing and frustrating as a guild leader. This is unfortunately hampering a lot of guilds (including my own) and their progress within the guild hall. I could have had several upgrades done this week had we been able to complete our challenges. It’s enough of an issue that we need overwhelming amounts of flax and coarse sand for upgrades without starving for favor on top of it. I understand it was a holiday week but the devs should have disabled challenge activation in the guild panel if they were aware it wasn’t working properly or at the very least posted something acknowledging the matter by now. My guild members are starting to get disheartened with the sheer number of bugs that continue to prevent progress and I’m honestly not surprised that activity game-wide is beginning to drop.

Guild Hall Music Bug?

My guild is having the same problem. The guild panel fails to update after selecting the Caverns but updates normally for everything else. Returning after exiting just plays the prior selection as well.

I’m 100% positive it’s Zhaitan as this was inside Arah immediately after we killed him. I waypointed to leave and ended up falling through the map. http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x344/Wulfghast/gw316.jpg

Did you take close up screens of his head(s)? Also interested in his arms, too, as they seem to be asymmetrical.

The last screenshot I posted is the closest I could get to him and his many mouthdragons.

Dungeon Patch Discussion 1/28

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

This is a really disappointing change to dungeons that are already severely broken, some moreso than others. I remember hitting AC Story for the first time and reeling back from just how challenging it was let alone trudging off into AC explorable for the first time not knowing what we were getting into. If it wasn’t for the fact that I lead an active guild who runs dungeons almost daily, I would probably avoid dungeons altogether. I honestly can’t imagine how it feels to someone who relies on PUGs and then seeing this change implemented.

I’m all for making content a challenge, but making it impossible? No thanks. We come on Guild Wars 2 to relax and wind down, we don’t come on here treating it like a second job, this isn’t WoW and I don’t plan to return to strict raid schedules anytime soon.

Are we going to start rewarding people for having an elitist attitude? Gear checks, kicking people for dying, shunning those who lack experience, rejecting people for not having the right build, the list goes on. These are aspects that belong in other games, not GW2. This isn’t the way to go about encouraging teamwork, it’s promoting just the opposite. I don’t want to sit here and throw my character to the wolves and get crap rewards for all the effort put in. As it stands dungeons don’t have value, it’s not worth it when you can just as easily get what you need elsewhere. Sure the skins are nice but in all honesty, most people won’t be compelled to grind a dungeon for that one skin, especially when said dungeon run consists of a wipe fest and various levels of nerdrage and straight up ragequitting. Last I checked I’m positive I didn’t select ‘mop’ for my characters profession.

In regards to encouraging people to buy off the TP, I don’t mind dropping some coin for extra character slots, mini pets and so on but the Gem Store should not fall so low to require you to buy revive orbs to simply get through a dungeon. Keep the pay to win out of GW2, go on, shoo, no one loves you. I love this game but don’t go screwing it up by turning it into your standard pay to win, we have enough of those creeping around the slums of the internet.

Fix the bugs, fix the broken boss mechanics, removing ‘res-rushing’ isn’t the way to fix the problem it’s just sweeping it under the rug. Keep the fun in the game, don’t take that aspect away.

A simple change, so much more ease running a guild

As a leader of a small casual guild I agree 100% with this suggestion. Kicking, demoting, promoting and inviting new members should not be clustered together under one administrative function. It makes it pretty much impossible to create and organize ranks as you wish as you have to concern yourself over the possibility of people abusing the fact that they can kick/demote and so forth to players lower ranking than them.

It would be nice being able to allow everyone to invite but until invites are separated from the rest of the admin functions, invites will have to be left up to the higher ranking people who do have access to do so. This option isn’t exactly helpful when attempting to recruit new members, you shouldn’t have to wait for a higher ranked member to sign on to drop an invite.
