I always felt as I was about to get my last point on a map that it might unlock something unique (rewards are nice but something a little different)
Perhaps when you get the last vista you can get a scene that pans over the entire area that would be amazing! I always wanted to see the human city from high up with the high walls castle etc.
When you finished the last heart getting some sort of quest or event that ties all the story up Some final assault on the x or whatever.
When you get the last point of interest perhaps getting a lore journal for the area
last waypoint, a discount on using the waypoints within that area
Last skill point (not sure about)
And then once you’ve done all that some cool event that utilizes all the stuff you’ve learnt to earn that chest, like a treasure hunt.
Anet are always saying they want the game to be playable in diferent ways depending on what you find fun. It wound be awesome to have something like this to really make you feel more challenged and rewarded for map completion.
Well I had some major problems with the undead abominations (3 of them) int he early human personal story. freaking impossible. BUT i hadn’t spent any trait points and i hadnt been thinking about gear. I don’t know if i would have had the same problems if i had spent those 20 trait points and had all my gear at level 30. Further dying and having gear damaged makes it all the more tedious. You shouldn’t be able to do it with no armor.
I think its actually easier to if your npcs die and you die, to restart the instance from a new angle. This isn’t to say they’re not too hard, but I experienced the problems you’re describing when i was undergeared and untraited. It doesn’t cost much to buy a full set of blues of your level. Just food for thought.
originally there were going to be no hearts. They gust added them to give new players a sense of direction. You’re meant to run around have fun exploring crafting taking part in events that happen as you go.
How about A “guild story” akin to a personal story. Gradually work you way to getting an airship. Have a guild instanced base much like your personal instance. As your guild gets acheivments you can upgrade it and so on.
Perhaps at some point there might be a zone thats a floating armada dock, than can dock a hundred airships. A prestige thing your ship needs to be the best of the best to be allowed to dock I.e. guild rating top 100 if such a thing were to be implemented.
And then cool scheduled optional events that everyone with an airship there can engage some nasty dragon for treasure. (though others can come join in they just dont get the prestige of having their airship in the battle)
So many options you could do with it. Very cool addition to the game.
Im too ocd it seems ahah. At least when it comes to gaming.
First the world map, Oh the horror.
Am I the only one who feels repulsed by square mountain ranges and the clear crisp explored to the water color unexplored or non-existent areas. For a game thats so polished its a real shame.
On a related note, Will this be fixable by a mod, will mods even exist.
Next, I try to estimate the population of Divinity’s reach (in the thousands somewhere). I tried counting houses but that didnt work well, especially as I have no way of guessing how many people are living in those gigantic walls. Though theres no where enough farmland to feed a population that size. I love how realistic the farms and such look and I think “yay this game is realisticly scaled…” Then i see Divinity “Oh.”
If they’d just had the zones separated on the map id be happy. All the zones are instanced its not like they HAD to put them right next to each other like wow did, making the world literaly a few km in size. Instead of having an anbiguously sized world with the few specific important locations you visit being a few km.
What things in the game detract from your enjoyment? What would you have changed/fixed.
Woot fixed it!!!! For those with Ati cards. Try the folowing. Uninstal ccc and all graphcs drives. Load safe mode, use drive sweeper restart. Install CCC 12.8 restart. And bam.
I was thinking the same thing. That or upgrading the graphics card
Hijacked thread lol. I tried overclocking had no effect on the artifacts. Not sure what to do now. Other than pull the laptop apart and give it a new card.
Ok well my fan is /was at 30% and the temperature was a steady 53 degrees. I probably have some room for overclocking.
From too much heat hmm? My laptop has a really good fan and cooling system the underside is warm but not hot. Are you sure it’s that? If its overtaxed could I over clock it to fix the problem?
As per attachment, pretty bad graphics problems. Downloaded the latest drivers tried the absolute lowest settings and resolutions. Im using Ati mobility raedon hd 5470, which may be no where near good enough.
If theres anything I can do to fix let me know. if not could someone explain why my computer seems perfectly fine at displaying most of the screen decent fps decent rendering,
but randomly gets these blueish lines?
Crashes i’d understand, everything being pixilated or blurry all the edges looking horrid whatever. But why it reacts this way confuses me.
Anyway.
Thanks in advance.
