Guild Wars 2

I use a shortbow on my ranger and, on occasion, thief. The shortbow is good backup in pvp if used correctly. L’ve been pecked to death by it more than once when low on healing and health.

I think this is Anet’s way of telling me to play ESO or Assassin’s Creed

I really could care less about getting a guild hall. It would be fun, but it’s not necessary. What I want is what i spent three years earning. The ability to makes seige, the ability to make flags, etc. I’m not asking for them to give me something special. I am asking for what they TOOK FROM ME. I am not asking them the cater to me. I am asking for WHAT I EARNED.

Me and my friends built our guild shortly after launch and spent the next to years generating influence to buy some nice perks, like guild catas and experience and karma banners. Even though my friend stopped playing the game, i was able to continue generating influence so i could use those services we spent a lot of time and effort building.

Now they are all gone. I can’t build guild catas or banners. I can only use the ones we had. I feel like Anet literally stole those things we bought with our hard effort and spit in my face. OOOOOO, my guild is level two. OOOOOOO, i got 50 guild favor. Big deal. I can’t do anything with it.

I play solo and really don’t want to be involved in another large guild. There is too much drama and at the end of the day, there is no guarantee those guilds will be able to maintain membership. The last big guild I belonged to reached more than 100 members and at one point only two — me being one — were on for months on end. And because i wasn’t an officers i had no authority to do anything. When they finally decided to start playing again and rebuilding the guild they hosted all the events during a time I couldn’t play. I finally left that guild and repped my original one full time because it felt lonelier being in that guild than just doing my own thing.

So I guess my guild is worthless. Name only. Yea, i can easily come up with the 100g. I play this game that much. Probably more than members of those big guilds. And I’ve sunk a lot of cash into this game. I have 11 toons (all but two with map completions) and purchased other things.

Maybe I should count myself lucky Anet didn’t also steal my bank, like they stole those other services we paid for and those guild banners and those levelling scrolls and pretty much anything else they decide they don’t want players to have any more.

So yea, I am mad I can’t build my own guild hall. VERY MAD. I have a right to be. Just gives me one less incentive to play this game. The jury is still out on wvw, but so far it isn’t fun at all and I’ve mostly stuck with this game for that.

I just finished reading the expectations for building a guild hall and it has made me very angry. I have a small guild of about five or six people I know and trust. But they work full time and I end up playing by myself a lot.

I have belonged to larger guilds and have been treated poorly, so I make do with my small guild. It was fine, because I could earn enough guild experience to do upgrades by myself. I never cheated and purchased upgrades with gold.

Now I feel as if I will be cheated on this expansion because I will NEVER be able to upgrade my guild hall because I cannot do those guild missions by myself. I hate the way ANET seems to always force people to play this game the way they want them to play.

I don’t enjoy being forced to partner with strangers who make fun of you or say mean things or kick you from a group because you don’t have the “proper build” or “proper armor.” They did that with those achievements for the last story missions and now they are doing it again. They need to rethink how people actually play this game, not their pie-in-the-sky concept. I know I am not the only one who spends a great deal of time doing solo stuff because I want to hang with aren’t available.

I think it is important to have at least one unique place on each server, where people can be guaranteed they can be with the people they WANT to be with, not the people Anet determines they — based whatever factors Anet uses — have to hang with.

I am not on the same server as my guild and often do world events and dungeons with strangers. But what if i want to show my guildmates a new weapon, or have a party, or whatever? Will just being in the same guild be enough to allow me to get together with them, even though only a few of the active players are on my friends list. Or is it just a good chance that can happen at some point at some time whenever Anet deems the forces the right.

Keeping the cities, or at least one city, server bound would at least allow people to make their own decisions about who they want to be with and not leave it up to Anet’s voodoo formulas.

I just got a rank up chest and it had nothing but trash in it. There was one level 200 piece of leather, a (bleep bleep) rock, one radiant dust, a 200 level claw and a skill point scroll. I mean really? They want me to waste my time for this crap? and the gold is a joke. I could have gotten more doing one event in pve >;(
