Honestly I think we have all helped out our dear friend Razen like a million billion times, the freakin’ instance locks up every 30 minutes it seems, and its incredibly annoying. I would suggest that event only locks the instance 1 – 3 times a day or just not at all, its not “fun” it just gets in the way of players doing the dungeon they wanna do.

I tried with quotations around the entire line, and without quotations around the entire line too. My line reads exactly like this:

Soooo I’m having 58 disconnection errors constantly. I forwarded all the ports necessary and attempted to create the NewAuth shortcut…when I try to add -authsrv xx.xx.xxx.xx (with appropriate numbers of course) at the end….I get “The name in target box is not valid” error, and it won’t let me edit the shortcut in the way you guys are telling me to.

I have almost all rare items.
Just spent the last hour doing CoF explorable Ferrah. We got to the crystal boss and players weren’t geared enough (YEAH BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE DUNGEONS TO GET GEAR AND PEOPLE HAVE LIVES AND CAN’T WVW FOR 14 HOURS A DAY TO GET KARMA GEAR)
We get all the way to the last boss and you know, 90,000 crystals drop and we don’t have the firepower to do it.
I think it is absolutely RIDICULOUS you don’t get rewarded with tokens upon completing bosses/chest events when immediately completing them.
We all feel cheated when we can’t down the last boss and we have no rewards to go off of or anything to show for our time.
I’m really getting tired of all of this.

This post applies for CoF explorable which I have done as well as every other dungeon that I have done. I probably should have specified that. I’m sure there were undergeared players but the problem is you’re supposed to do dungeons to get geared. There are other options to get geared of course, such as karma, but the items are very pricy.

ArenaNet, can you please release an official statement regarding your opinion of PvE’s current state, the specific plans you have to actually improve them, and the future of PvE in general? If this has already been done, can a link or quote be provided?
I have consistently been trying to force myself to believe that I have been in sub-par groups. I have tried making excuses like “my gear isn’t good enough”, “or maybe its my build”. No. I can’t take this anymore. I’ve been working very hard to establish a guild on my server – I’ve recruited over 115 members. I bought a Ventrilo server. I created a website. I organize and schedule events. But no longer can I do this – after running CoF (story) again (so that my friend could obtain some better gear), I want to quit this game for good. We were in there for over 2 hours trying to kill mobs with a ridiculous amount of HP. I probably died over 20 times. After all that hard work I get 13 silver (spent about 30 silver in repairs, and had to loan 50 silver to my friend because he ran out of money repairing) and 88k experience [lmao]. He did not get a single piece of gear that he could use. This game will go down in history as one of the worst MMO games ever created in the history of mankind.

Because it seems pretty darn near impossible to effectively overcome a team when there are 3 or more mesmers on a team (which seems pretty popular at this point).
My guild faced a team which had multiple mesmers, and they bragged it was 17 vs. the 5 of us.
We lost.
We just died 1,000,000 times. I never said it was hard. My main complaint: it could not be completed in a reasonable amount of time, there was an idiotic amount of trash mobs to be cleared, etc etc etc etc. You get the picture. Look, I really like the game. I just want to be able to enjoy the dungeons. I was a little angry, but I am not giving up on Arenanet or Guild Wars 2.
Well I already am level 80…and yeah…man, I’m so bummed : \
I understand this game has just been released….but really where was the beta testing for this? I waited patiently all summer….I would have gladly told them 5 months ago the dungeons need a little more tweaking…
No, sir. We are talking about story mode.
I believe we had 2 level 62’s, 2 level 80’s, and a level 73. I was one of the 80’s. I have 3 or 4 pieces of yellow gear (lv 80) and a bunch of level 80 blues/greens, all appropriately upgraded.
Sooo…I just got done with Sorrow’s Embrace. And apparently my last thread contributing my opinion to the community was considered “frivolous”, so I’m going to attempt to make this constructive as possible.
My group was in Sorrow’s Embrace for about 2 and a half hours. The amount of mobs in the dungeon was obscene. I am really too upset to even attempt to use the english language appropriately to accurately convey my severe and utmost disappointment in this game’s definition of PvE.
Were these dungeons beta tested?
My group was unable to complete the dungeon – most human beings require about 8 hours of sleep per day, therefor we were unable to finish. I would attempt this dungeon (or any of them) again, but I have plans to finish my education, perhaps meet a woman, start a family and acquire my own property at some point. I am curious as to what the developers plan to change regarding the level of fun in PvE. I am also curious as to their definition of “difficulty”. Is their definition of “difficulty” in correlation to the amount of money spent in repairs, the number of times the players die, or the damage that players receive per hit from mobs? I really don’t think you can fathom my level of frustration at this point.
Two posts ago I vowed to never do a dungeon again. I was a hypocrite. This time you will truly not catch me in another dungeon again. I enjoyed CM, but it seems that has been taken away from me as well. I feel this is an appropriate comparison to PvE in this game.
Take a World of Warcraft 10 man raid. But only put 5 warlocks wearing no armor into the raid. Then have the 5 warlocks attempt to complete said raid.
My question is…what do YOU think of PvE and what do you think can be done to improve the system?

I spent 10 silver on repairs.
AND SPENT TWICE AS MUCH TIME IN CM.

I’m never doing it again. I’m never doing another dungeon again. The 26 silver I got BARELY compensated for repairs. So terrible. Didn’t get a single piece of gear I could use.
I love GW2 and I don’t regret buying it but this is literally the last dungeon I do.
I have to admit, whenever I finish a dungeon, like TA, I’m thinking “YES THANK GOD, OH THANK GOD IT IS FINALLY OVER…ITS REALLY ACTUALLY OVER” – They take incredibly long…incredibly long…and I’ll just run back from a waypoint, get hit for 12k , and run back hoping to do some damage while I still have two evades left (referring to the poison-spider boss in TA). As a ranger I only have 1 heal and it is a 20 second cool down, which is way too long to actually make the heal truly viable in PvE.
I think if ANet wants to keep dungeons the way they are…they need to add an extra Elite Skill that is strictly solid CC (not just a cripple or slow down), and an extra healing skill slot (low cooldown, medium power, just so one can actually attempt to survive in a dungeon).
