Yeah. Honestly when I start my new job, Im probably just going to sell this thing on ebay and buy a nice gaming laptop.

FIX: After tinkering with everything for a good long while, Ive finally found a fix. I hope this helps somebody out there, googling this

1. Save the guild wars 2 launcher download to your desktop.
2. Run the app in admin mode.
3. Hit crtl + shift + esc and find the app in the task manager.
4. Right click on the app and open the file location.
5. Right click on the real launcher in the tmp folder.
6. Make sure you run this as admin and you should get a new message.
7. This message should inform you of minimum system requirements.
8. Run anyways. Log in and patching should have started this time!
Hope this broke it down enough for yall, and I hope it helps like it did for me.

Im running this directly off the SSD because I have the 64 gig system.

I know this post is a bit of a necro, but Im on the Dell Venue 8 pro, and I am completely stuck on the login screen. The circle just keeps turning, and nothing happens. Ive tried doing a dns flush, registering the dns, and manually changing the dns servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and nothing has changed. Ive also edited the drivers file with the command line 174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com.
Not a single thing is making this budge. Any ideas??

It’s not unfortunate. It’s a gameplay preference and opinion. Col, I understand where you’re coming from, but at the same time, I understand the aspect of the other gamers. People need to fill their desires with gameplay in different ways. Some may look more “unfortunate” than others, but the fact is, everyone is different.

I think you misunderstand the body of the message. I said part of the fun, maybe not specifying the halloween event only, but I meant to say the fun of the labyrinth. Yeah there are other fun things to do, but I enjoy farming something other than Orr or Frostgourge.

Part of the fun is hoping for the awesome chance at “exclusive” loot. Exclusive being that you can only get it from this event, and now that chance has been nerfed indefinitely. This takes the fun out of the event because it makes the user think – Oh gee, my chances really aren’t that great are they? Guess I shouldn’t bother? That’s for you to decide in the long run.

Where this is true, by now, they’ve had time to let us know what’s going down about these little hot fixes. I’d appreciate to hear from them to say the least.

Nerfing the drops from the chest was fine as it was. Jormag isn’t even this bad guys. It’s an EVENT. You need to make it special for us.

I second that. I think you Anet is jumping the gun way too much. Let us know when you change things too please. Even the little ones. Keep us posted. We’re your player base, and we deserve to know the details.

I’ve heard from a few sources that the chests have been nerfed to once per day. If so, is this account or player based? Also, why did you have to nerf it so much, if this is actually true.

That’s a good point..Hmm..Perhaps you would have to complete it again? Idk..then it could become an exploit because you would gain good experience all over again.

Now that I’m more aware of racial skills, I wouldn’t mind changing the races of a few other characters of mine to another species. This token would (should) take me to the character customization screen to change my new race appearance, and all skills would be reset, along with traits to avoid confusion. How does this sound?

So yeah..I’ll just add this to the other thousand posts out there. I don’t care when the TP comes back up, but please ensure that it doesn’t go down again. If you have to keep it down another 3 days to ensure no down-time, then please do so. I wasted two crafting boosters last night which I’m not going to complain about too much. It’s just that I’d like to pay my two cents.
