If they paired the “half potency” with a “double duration” they’d keep it just as valid for sustained damage and halve the burst successfully, without demolishing every quickness build. It’s a simple point, but i think it’s valid.
Well, boon hate would make sense on warrior, they did say we’re supposed to power through enemy buffs
Dearest OP, you sound rather sorrowful. Here, have this glass of milk and may it calm your sadness.
There are many quickness skills out there, BUT ours had a downside half the upside. Now the downside is exactly the size of the upside, which basically makes it useless. They should have at least halved the downside too.
I would just like to note that, although perfectly justified to avoid damage spikes, the quickness nerf was , uh, demolishing for a good number of builds across the classes. I’d just like to point out that doubling all quickness sources in return for halving its potency would reduce spikiness just as much, but would net 0 total nerf for the builds. A win-win, i would think.
This has also caused an issue specific to warriors (as far as i can think) with their skill, Frenzy. Pre-patch, it boosted your action speed by x2 (and thus up to doubled your damage) while boosting your damage taken by x1.5, making it viable. Now, it boosts action speed by x1.5 too, so the good side and the bad side of the effect only break even, at best. That makes it almost completely nonviable. I think it’s urgent (and fair) that the negative side is also halved (same for any such skills across the classes).
Thoughts? (Keep it constructive)
I should note that frenzy seems non-viable now, since the increase in your damage and the increase in you enemies’ damage is the same (at best :/). I would think the adaption at least warrantied dropping the extra damage taken to half, too…
Same, 28/2/13. got leveler and events at the same time, pushing me from 4 to 6, and got no reward. Tried getting a 7nth to no avail, as well as changing zones.
Edit: I assume your code includes a simple “If DailyCount==5” clause, so people that simply skipped 5 skipped the “true” value of it as well, but then again if all it took was changing it to “If DailyCount>=5” it would have been done? No clue.

The event eventually worked, and now we happily control Arah. If it was something you did, thanks If not, hopefully it helps you find a permanent solution?
I’d like to add that demolishing the catapults is not adding to the bar, and since the bar looks full enough that the catapults would be enough to fill it, this might be the case.
Alternatively, perhaps undead are spawning bellow the ground?
Like OP said, it’s been way too long for a bug that breaks both every personal storyline and the dungeons one, plus barring the Arah gear sets. Could we at least get a forum post saying someone is working on it or any data on the progress you may be able to give? I’ll say it once more: If push comes to shove and this is gonna last, make the dungeon available independently from the event. Sure it would decrease the epic feel, but would it not be better than a dungeon (the most important dungeon) being effectively removed? Get us a workaround at least.
This is a bug often posted about in the “Cannot enter dungeon” thread, but since it is of different nature (not an issue with the dungeon portal, but with the related events) i thought it might be helpful to make a separate post.
The meta event is stuck at this state: The Arah waypoint is uncontested, however the entire area around it is in the contested version ( Risen eyes and hands, catapults and typical Risen further down the stairs etc.), including the locked gate. The Anchorage waypoint is contested and the Meta Event says “The Pact are preparing to establish a forward base”, however nothing (as far as i can tell) really happens. This has been the situation for 3 days straight as far as i can tell.
Am i just missing that the event is progressing somewhere? (If that’s the case, could someone say where to look/what to do?). Could something be done about it until a solution is found (manually resetting the event or Cursed Shore, or simply removing the gate until it works as intended?). The server i am talking about is Whiteside Ridge, however it looks like more or less every server has this issue (if someone knows a server that works all right, please post it’s name). Also, if anyone knows what usually happens before the event is stuck that way, please report it for troubleshooting purposes.
EDIT: I also tried to start the events from the beginning in case the 2 events were linked. The last step it is reaching is “The pact is waiting for reinforcements in the south” or something along those lines, then either stays there or moves backwards, but nothing happens to link the 2 events. Hope this helps.

If everyone is within (very) small range? But that could punish all-melee groups.
Great plan, basically an alternative to spamming LA’s and the dungeon’s zone’s map chat, while also covering every zone where an interested player may be, instead of the 2 likely ones. I think it should be added in the “high-priority to-do list”.
Edit: I would advice against an auto-build group tool, just a tool where you can say “I am available and want these dungeons”, “We are looking for x more” etc. Essentially a catalog of potential, manual reqruits.

Lackluster PVE content devoid of any sort of challenge or skill requirement- FIX PLS

I take the Op’s comment as elitist. ANet has said they want dungeon loot to be available to non-hardcore players and that it’s meant as style rewards. If you want to stand out just for the sake of it, a rarely-used non-dungeon set look is the way to go, along with dyes. If you want a challenging piece of loot, go after one of the legendary treasures.
Note: I’m merely saying this to note that ANet did what they said, and that there are alternatives to hard-to-get loot (plus some REALLY hard-to-get-loot) to sate the Op’s appetite. I understand my comment may seem aggressive but, for all this matters, it is not meant to be.
Seems i have the same issue in Whiteside Ridge: the waypoint to Arah is uncontested, the gates are closed and there are Risen fortifications and no Pact (which i suppose is the normal state of it being contested), Anchorage is contested while Meddler’s is not (and was not even when Jofast’s was contested, although i don’t know if that’s normal) and the “Gates of Arah” meta event is stuck saying “The Pact are preparing to establish a forward base.”. This state has been fixed since morning, and is annoying since I was all set up to finish my personal story. Any chance we could get some manual restarts on it or something similar until a solution is found?
