I’m on my legendary now and i already spent all my ectos [from rares that i looted and salvaged] to gain my 77 clovers. Yup, i already did it..! Now, i’m aiming now for the 250pc ectos that i need to craft my legendary. Like my title says, can anyone give me an advise whats the best crafting profession to work with for the ectos i needed. “I’m not talking about the cheapest profession to level 400, but i’m asking about what the cheapest item to craft.” I’m thinking about Tailoring..?

I really don’t know why people hate Mystic Forge that much.. In My Opinion, Its just an added option of the game to get better stuff. Yes its gambling for sure, you can get lucky, unlucky or even break even. Think about the other games out there. Most of them, you need to hunt it from monsters and be lucky for a lucky drop to acquire something rare. So, if you are a player hates RNG alot. then i think you need to stop playing MMOs. If you plan to try it and throw some gears on it to have a better stuff. Then its your decision. Either you failed or you succeed, its your luck. The problem is, we people always like to assume that after throwing this 200pc of gear, we can instantly get our precursors. Yes, some people will get lucky, some people can even break even for exotics and the one who fails.

In my point of view, Precursor scavenger hunt is a bad idea. Yes, hate me now. But its true. If Anet want to add more precursor in the game. Put the drop rate up. Not like this. Its like an instant precursor for everyone. The game is only 4 months old and you giving precursors in this way.

@Dastion.3106, If you are talking like 2 or more players directly hitting your clone/phantasm. Yes you are right they will instantly die. But sometimes they can stay a-bit long. Like in Dungeon. My phantasms can last for 2-3 hits.

@Moxic.5892, you got my point mate! I don’t play other class with pets like Ele, necro nor Ranger. But if they don’t have it yet. This Pet,Clone,Phantasm Health Bar interface can be helpful too for them.

Hi fellow Mesmers!

I don’t know if this idea has already been tackle. But anyways, we fellow mesmers use our phantasm or clones alot. Thats why we are called mesmers. We are the Master of clones in battle.

In my experience as a Semi-shatter build mesmer [Issue may occur for other build as well]. I found out that when i do WvWvW or any zerg battle in the game. I can hardly see or check my Phantasm’s or Clone’s Heath Bar. “I know, if i set my enemy name setting to off. i can easily see it. But it will give me hard time to see my enemy from afar, in a zerg battle etc:.” And to be a good mesmer player. Whether you are a shatter build or not. You need to shatter your clones/phantasm if they are close to dying to maximize our damage output or interrupt capabilities [In my opinion].

Now, base on this situation. Is it better if “Anet come up with a side interface for our clone’s/phantasm’s Health bar..?” So we can easily check if one clone or phantasm is dying and we can make the better use of it. I’m not only talking about the issue of shattering. But more on how we handle our clones and phantasm in battle.

I think using blink 1st before decoy + mirror image + mind wrack is better. Using decoy 1st makes your 1 clone far behind and by chance not get your target. But if thats works for you well. its good.

1st of all, if you love what your Ele is doing for you right now. then stick with it.

I want my mes to do that kind of damage and be durable too.
• I don’t use ele so i think i don’t know that “kind of damage” that you are talking about. but finding your right build(don’t wanna spoon feed) can came up for a durable and powerful in damage mesmer as well.

I know we use illusions etc for distracting,
- Using clones and phantasms are not only for distraction. Depends on your build.

By using shatter build, Usually you use it to shatter and deal significant damage.
By using condition damage build, you usually maintain your phantasms (not clones) alive to help you dealt more damage.

By looking at this, clones nor illusions are built for mesmer damage output.(Thats why Anet boots its damage in the latest patch note) actually in my point of view, being a destruction for clones/phantasms is just a bonus for mesmers. But, remember. Skilled enemy player no doubt can easily track you by Ctrl+T. <— Its OP Anet pls nerf it..

they aren’t 100% and getting aggro on a mob, especially multiples, you WILL take damage.
- In my opinion as a mesmer, you should never give your phantasms aggro at all. Why..? they are not like Ranger’s pet that will tank for you. They are built for damage output, and not capable of taking that damage to keep you alive. Its a matter of positioning your self well in battle, Maintaining your Clone and Phantasm cooldown on track, avoiding by using Dodge and using your invi. (Decoy)+ other utility skills well to put your self out of danger.

I don’t know if i helped you for your issues. But as a fellow mesmer, kindly let me fix some of your misconception about the class as i know it and for those pro-mesmer users out there. kindly correct me if i’m wrong. Thanks.

If you missed a Tixx city event. Don’t worry about not getting the Achievement in that city, you can still get the achievement by participating in LA.

Just remember:

Toy Ventari – The Grove edition
Princess Doll – Divinity’s Reach edition
Toy Soldier – Black Citadel edition
Plush Griffon – Hoelbrak edition
Toy Golem – Rata Sum edition

If you missed the Hoelbrak edition just like me. Just make sure majority of the party choose the Plush Griffon in the choices. After you done the event. You can still gain the Achievement that you missed.

Topic: I opened Giant Boxes btw. But Admins says, small, medium, large and giant have the same % on it. So if you not aiming for the high mats from giant boxes. Buy/Trade only small boxes for bell and tonic purpose. Goodluck…

Nothing fancy, happy holidays everyone..

I think Anet made a good move by avoiding the “Precursor issue” for this Once a year Wintersday Event.

Unlike some previous Event, especially the Karka one. This Event made a massive wave of violent reactions from many players that didn’t get precursor in their chest. Reporting why their guildie got 2 precursor and they got none and so on..

By looking the said event list for winters day. No boss fights (i guess) that gave Precursors at the end. Only good stuff like The Toymaker Tixx Instance, Minis, Mini Games, Jumping puzzle, gift boxes ETC: and no event that being linked to acquire “Precursors”.

We knew the list of event only dated up to 20th. We don’t know if Anet will came up for new event after the 20th or will be as is until the 3rd of January. But as far as i know, Anet made a good job in this issue.

PS: I would like to Congratulate Anet too for making a good jumping puzzle this Wintersday. Having 3 way route going in the middle of the puzzle makes the puzzle more easier for players to play, especially an Asura like me with a Norn or a Char player Jumping with.. Fixing the issue of overcrowded.

Bought 500 Giant present to try my luck for the Unbreakable Bell. But i failed. Bought another 500, and it will be the last. Then Hooaallaa! after 326th box, didn’t got the bell. But got the Endless tonic. Not bad at all. after 8g+ investment. I got 30g+ back. Won’t try anymore for bell. I’ll just wait until its price drop and grab one.

1st of all, just wanna say THANK YOU Anet for the unexpected karka box update.

On the other hand, can i ask about the Map of Southsun cave, Map fragment and Mysterious Soggy bag if we can safely delete it now..? Its not a big deal for me to delete it. But, i just want to know if you guys have additional update for it..?

IMO, choosing the best time when an event will start should not be scaled to “when the majority of people is online”. I think the best time to scale it is “When the majority of people CAN online”.

You play a game, the game has its own advantage and disadvantage to your real life time slots. You are not the only one who are plays it. “You play it WITH players AROUND THE WORLD”. If you want to be in the game with YOUR prefer TIME (With the reason stated above). I think you need to play offline game instead.

• Guild Wars 2 is an International Game. People around the world plays it. Not only European or US. We also have Asia and other parts too. Anet should think a time frame that “The majority of players can be online”. This time, not at the office or in school. But “AWAKE”. Our world is round people, some part of it people are sleeping, and the other part is awake and playing the game. We must choose a much humane time frame to start an Event not forcing some players to wake up at 4:00-5:00am in the morning to play and not miss the event.

We run one-time events at the time where we have the highest concurrency.

Players need to start to realize that the game is not perfect at all. Be open minded, we know that Anet for sure have dozen of issues to puzzle out before they release this event (Time Issue).

I have issue in the time event as well, living in UTC+08:00 time zone gives me a hard time to catch up for that “one-time-event”. Knowing that the event will start at November 16 at 12:00 PM PST in my local time it is 5:00AM in the morning!!!

I don’t wan’t to nag like others do. I just want players to realize that the world is round, not flat and all people’s time are the same. "While Pacific time people eating there lunch and getting ready for the event, UTC+08:00 time zone and other area is having there bedtime stuff.

All Anet is doing is just for the sake of the “one-time-event” and the “time where we have the highest concurrency” obviously they have chosen the majority. Let’s just wait how Anet will handle this time frame issue.

Just wanna say Thank You too for all the players who exerted effort in recruiting, resu etc: you know who you are..
