Playstyle: Samurai, once the blade leaves the sheath, blood must be shed. Depend on your illusions to kill for a Samurai strikes from the shadows.
Next time be more precise maybe? I suppose you are aiming for a wvw phantasm build.
Mirror Images might not find that much use then, I’d swap it for Blink. Also I would take Fencer’s Finesse over Evasive Mirror as you are taking double swords and benefit more from the cooldown reduction that way.
Healing Prism and a Necro’s Vampiric Aura are currently letting me healing nearby allies for around 350 with every attack… I’m enjoying this bug while it lasts.
I wouldnt call this a bug. You are healing through the siphon so it procs the trait. It is a bit strong though, so I guess it will be nerfed(removed)..
if you trait it, it won’t work on the 3rd Power Return. Seems bugged

No really…anyone can see that 2% on staff isn’t enough. It is CONDITIONAL recharge so it should give more recharge than flat recharge when you put effort into it(as you can’t have it up all the time).
Did someone lock Robert in a room so he can’t interfere?

I don’t get why everyone is so upset about the bundle.
New players get something for free and it might get more players into the game so it doesn’t die. Be happy for them maybe? (also more players enhance the general gaming experience in a MMO as you get more interaction, so actually you get something out of it too)
You don’t complain when the game is on sale for 10€ so what’s the big difference. 10€ or 15€ was the cheapest price for GW2 if I remember it well…it’s no big deal.
This is all about people not wanting others to get shinies.
Also as others already stated, this game has no monthly fee and is dependent on sales.

I will cancel that order then…the price is the same anyway so I would advice anyone who preordered and didnt pay for it yet to cancel the order and buy it from the official website instead.

so last month I preordered HoT from Amazon Germany for the same prize as you can preorder it right now from the official site. The expansion is being sold by NCSoft on Amazon.
Now my question is, will all people who already preordered the expansion from a third party website(at least the ones where NCSoft is the seller) get access to the Beta-Weekends?
I guess there are some people that are concerened about it, that’s why I post it on the forums.

Yep, you need to reduce the bar to zero while the enemy is casting, otherwise it doesn’t count. The 5second stun then counts as your stun and your interrupt. It could also be that it counts for everyone who is in battle with the stunned enemy, so that it doesn’t matter who does the last hit but I am not sure about that.
If mob still get CC’d when breakbar is active, then whats the point of breakbar? Isn’t it supposed to act like defiant and absorb the CC effect?
On the other hand, if mob cannot be CC’d when breakbar is active, then its not possible to interrupt.From what I understand, it reduces the bar only.
Then once the bar is depleted – by various forms of CC – then CC will take hold if used after that.
I played around with on-interrupt traits in Stronghold against heroes and it only reduces the bar without proccing and CCing, but if you manage to deplete the bar when the hero uses a skill it actually interrupts and procs your traits (of course as it is an interrupt). Very situational and hard to achieve.
I don’t get how they thought Ferocity bonus on Mantra use would be a great idea. It only favours offensive Mantras and even that not in a useful way. Why should I use my CC mantra or defensive Mantras to get an offensive stat bonus? That leaves me with spamming MoP…cool.
Instead how about giving us boons depending on the Mantra we used?

Resistance on MoR
Protection on MoC
Fury on MoD?
Regen on MoRec
I don’t know about the duration and stacks but ferocity on Mantra use is just a 180° turn from not using the mantra to spamming the mantra.
If they change stealth in any way make it the same for all classes not only thief. It was said before and I think that this is a good fix for the situation:
Make stealth break and apply revealed on miss/blind/block. If someone predicts your stealthed attack that person should get rewarded for it and spamming attacks mindlessly in stealth till something hits really should get punished.
Allowing interrupt traits to proc in PvE would open up some more builds and probably make many Mesmers happy. Let’s hope Anet decides to go that way. Maybe they just wanted to see how it works on Engi…Anet works in mysterious ways.

Those numbers are final and won’t ever be changed – that’s totally what they said in the stream, believe me.
It’s hard to believe they will give us perma slow, at least it will be hard to apply in practice, except your enemy just lets you stack up all that crits.

Hm, maybe take one from Dom and put it into Inspiration for Mender’s Purity(Persisting Images for groupfights maybe…nvm they die anyway from 1 aoe)? Those 5% from Wastrels will rarely find any use and I think your phantasms don’t get the dmg boost as it is no flat buff.
Hey, I am pretty sure there was a post about this a around 2 months ago. Seems it got sucked into the abyss. The general outcome was that the runes don’t work with illusions anymore, so there is no rune that synergies with the use of illusions(eg buffing dmg).
also if i press F5 and get conditions on me and i press F5 again does it cleanse them or i just get back to my previous hp pool ?
I think it was stated that f5 does not clean conditions.
if i get direct dmg which lower my hp and press F5 i will get back to my previous HP and my enemy will need to hit me again
so why if i get conditions which lower my hp and press F5 shouldnt do the same

I hope the boons will be stored and can be used by Echo, though that won’t make much more people take it, as it would be very situational. Arcane Thiefery does this job better, but oh well let’s wait for further information.
Maybe we will be even able to steal buffs like stances or transforms(only 1 ofc) and cast it on demand? I doubt it, but won’t give up my hopes.
Maybe instead of changing DE, give us an alternative to the trait. Just leave DE as it is but give us another one that does something like “create an additional clone on illusion skills/clone generating skills”. That would need some balancing of course. Probably make it a Grandmaster Trait. Or give us more clone generation in weapons?
I dont think nerfing DE is the way to go. We need more diversity through good trait options and not through nerfing all down to the same level.
Oh I don’t like PU that much so I forgot about it. I just think that Timewarp feels much like a glamour skill and should be handled as such.
In my opinion every elite on every class(except racials) should be in some way able to be supported through traits.
I would like some trait that makes the enemy lose target on us on clone generation. So if you create a clone(not phantasm) the enemy has to target the real mesmer again and cant just keep the target locked like it is right now. Mesmer is not confusing anyone except new players and sometimes with help of Decoy. This trait would need a cooldown though, otherwise it would be too strong(maybe 8-10seconds).
Also decreased channeling time on Mantras would be nice or just replace them with something more useful/make some of them aoe.
In general speed up some animations and casting times.
EDIT: In addition finally make Timewarp a glamour skill, so we can trait at least one of our elites…

The point made here is that passive play needs to be tone down for these kinds of builds. Little by little your hp gets down and keeps going down until you are left with 0 hp and the mezmer kills you. More and more Mezmers are using this in PvP and frankly it is getting annoying that these suckers have permanent regeneration because they are not destroying their clones, if you destroy them you get punish with conditions. So either way you lose!
Yeah, I know this is just soooo unfair. Mesmer attacks should heal you instead of reducing your HP! It’s so overpowered!
Destroying their clones?! This sounds like a bug to me, clones should just be standing around doing 1dmg max.
