Lol that is not content! Thats fluff.
Archeage has housing and farming (very good open world housing, no instanced crap), it has excellent mounts (even hilarious cars), capturable pets and it also has ships (with brilliant physics) and land/sea based trade on top of all that.
But guess what? It kept me interested 3 months as opposed to 3 years in GW2. Because content doesnt make in any less shallow. There was nothing fun to do after a while. GW2 with its WvW, sPvP and PvE is a good mix that is far deeper in terms of gameplay.
The housing and mounts were just some suggestions to make the game not so plane. But yes what is needed is more game play content.
Guild Wars 2 is a game that has very limited options in terms of game play. There is simply not enough content in the game to keep you playing for long, unless you enjoy playing one or more of the very few options there is to do in the game, in which case you are probably fine. But unfortunately that is not the case for most people. We want more. This game needs more depth to it.
Here are some suggestions to make the game more fun:
Housing: Housing would be a very nice addition to the game, giving players that goal to work towards in making their house look as neat as possible, giving us that sense of achievement and satisfaction.
Mounts: People would probably argue that GW2 doesn’t need mounts because we have way points. But why not make it more interesting. Being able to capture animals in Tyria, train them, and gear them to give us a brand new travel experience.
The living story has brought some fun content like the Crown Pavilion, Twisted Marionette, Lions Arch Under Attack which I personally had a ton of fun playing. Why not make that content permanent? Just to have more game play choices. I would have loved to experience The Tower Of Nightmares and the so popular Super Adventure Box everyone talks about.
In general this game needs more options for playability. ArenaNet please look at other real MMOs and get some ideals on content for this game.
So how do you guys feel about warriors getting staff as their new weapon and “Sage” being their specialization?
That would be pretty epic if you ask me.
In my opinion they should just leave the content like the Tower Of Nightmares for new players like me to explore which never got the chance to, because I was just starting out and my character was too low level for that kind of content.
