One of the things which freaking me out are 4on5s on skyhammer. The last days I had a 4on5 rate on this map by 60% (I played 100s of matches the last days). The people see its skyhammer and just ragequitting the game with alt+f4. Since its known that they dont need to fear any kind of penalty, it became very famous the last months and this wave is still getting bigger and bigger.
I dont play many different games outside of gw2 but be very loyal to ones which I decided to play like this. But in those cases (I had 3 or 4 skyhammer 4on5ers in a row) its frustrating me on a level where even I quit the game for days, weeks or months.
Im basicly an extremely introverted player who dont like to comunicate that much but since Im playing very active in solo q Im just flaming around and often stop in the middle of the game just to insult my teammates when I see them at the minimap running around like headless chickens, leaping solo to a point which is currently defended by 3 opponents and die for no reason. At the end of the day I currently enduring my 3rd temporary ban (I just bought a second acc, lol) for unacceptable behavior since Im not able to calm down when I see so many people just mistaken hotjoin with a ranked game mode. And I cant stand still when some of my teammates following me on close, standing the point wait for the capture just to grap 10 points and simply ignore the fact that I said before that Im moving to close and also move straight to this point (in 95% of every case Im in front of those kind of players). At this case I really need to ask myself why are no requirements to join solo q because newbs just lacking experience even at the basics.
However.
I want to comment a suggestion here where I think its basicly a good intention but would end in a very negative way: The ranking reset.
I personally think it would be very motivating to do it. But here is the point:
I think a reset would show how much player really still playing this content. I have my doubts that 1000 different players would be ranked in period of 2 weeks just because the player base is too small for it.
Im often playing 50-100 matches a day (when Im playing) and after 10-15 games I feel like I know about 50% of the player pool which currently playing solo q. I see the same names over and over and the pool of individual players in this game mode over the whole day is about 200-300.
Well, thats embarassing for a game which was sold 2million times (afaik) and shows very well that the pvp content has extrem weakings, even after 2 years. And I didnt even mention some absurd balancings as like D/D cele ele.

Condition Ranger. The cooldowns are a joke especiall the elite. I removed my bleeding stack, get rooted and got 19 in 2 secs again. If you are able to instantly keep up a dps of 1.3-1.5k with bleeding there is something really wrong.
If the MMR can be very close from between a #3 and somebody with 98% the whole ranking system makes absolutely no sense.
Why the rankings doesnt show your MMR then? In first place you are rated by a factor which nobody can see. I think the whole system isnt working for a content which is mostly pure luck with your team. As far as I can see your MMR can sink if ppl roflstomp you but if you have a 4on4 group fight your own actions have a weight of 25% of the result. And if your mate is a brainless daily farmer who gives a kitten about teamplay this should effect you? Are you serious?

Skyhammer has been nerfed to death. The new map update is nothing but a bad joke.
I really wished that the laser become dodgeble but the new update regarding the platforms is kinda joke imho opinion.
And this basicly just resulting by the fact that players listen to loud music instead to listen to ingame sounds which clearly gives you the advice when to dodge/avoid.
I created an Engineer just for this map because Im trying to help my team with a viable character. And it makes me sick to see that ppl really playing full tank guardian and do nothing but to wait to get hitted be the hammer.
And yes, I really like skyhammer in a competitive way. Really good players often dancing around the death and it can take several minutes to get the control of it for a short period of time. ( YoloQ player)

ele s/d 66002 fresh spec has the highest burst potential. But I woudnt recomment this build because your survivability is against 0.
Solo Q is not dead.
But the current way how teams are created isn’t satisfying. Im usally point defending close on start (or the whole time) and win like 85% of my 1on1’s. But the rest of my team sometimes running with absurdly bad builds or don’t know anything about this game. Yesterday I had a thief in my team who told us that it was his 2nd PvP game ever.
So Even if Im a good player your individual strength is just 20% worth in this team. I never was in the top 1000 here just because I have ~100/80 win/loss and absolutely no chance to change anything on it. This becomes very frustrating over time.
I don’t have anything against newbs but Solo Q is still part (or wants to be) of competitive gameplay for individuals.
I really wish that anet removes the ranking formula from this content (only Solo Q) and implement match ups which are simply based on kill/death-rate,wins,ranks + a requirement of 100-200 games in hotjoin. It’s absolutely not funny if my mates don’t even know what an orb is in Spirit Watch. Not in mention what you need to do with it.
The requirement shouldn’t be a problem. I mean: I now even need o level up to unlock downstate skills (wtf?!).

These 4on5s are really kittening me off. Today I saw a player who knew that he/she dc’ed every round and he/she ADMITED IT. Every single round I met this player there was a 4on5 for like 5mins because even in 2014 ppl run pcs with windows 98 on it and have no problem to completely destroy the game experience of the whole team.
Requirements:
-enable the buff after 60 secs (the server often realizes a dc much later so the 60secs are basicly to re-enter the map after you get the message that you dc’ed from server)
-enable the buff if the player is missing at the end of the round
Everytime i check, i’m lower rank that i thought i would be, although i’m not under the impression that i’ve lost so many matchs.. It’s like loses are -50 ranks and wins are +20. If it was smaller min/max brackets, then :
- you wouldn’t have low experienced players ( less than 50/100 games) on top 1000
I dont get it =/

Also had better then 2:1 w/l and had just 94% lol
The actual rating system is confusing and frustrating.
Also 10+ loses are just 4on5 matches. I really hate ppl with their wooden pcs who need more then 5mins to reconnect or just go afk after they lost the first group fight.
I had some ppl who roamed far at the very beginning, died painful and cried why nobody was helping them.
Such experience, very challenging. Yeah, challenging. The challenge is to carry a team through a match.

I dont think that this game is ready for esports.
With a missing option reduce visual skill effects to a minimum to not make it look like a to a game from 12 years old kids and a camera control which gives you cancer the requirements are simply not given.
Best example for the camera is skyhammer point B. Playing thief on this point is almost impossible when view distance is rubberbanding like there is no tomorrow just because you are strifing an edge. Also that distance reduce when being downed is just annyoing. At some situations you lose the overview just because of this which means the client can be the problem why you died and wasnt able to do your downed skill at the right moment. In a game which is ready for esports this is an absolute nogo.
As a native Ragnarok Online player I have very high demands on my client setup and gw2 is far far far away from satisfying me at this point.
