This build is pretty legit for small skirmishes and 1v1. Hits pretty dang hard
Wish a dev could comment on the intended effect…
I have two questions regarding transmuted legendaries
1. Are transmuted legendaries working as intended? They currently show as legendary under your own tab, but when you link them in chat they are exotic (You can also put them into mystic forge with 3 other exotics).
2. Will said transmuted legendary receive the Ascended weapon (and any subsequent) upgrade? I know normal legendaries will, but as these transmuted legendaries seemingly possess properties of both exotics and legendaries, I feel like some kind of Dev confirmation would be great. No one wants to waste all those precious grind hours just to bug and destroy it later.
I have two suggestions.
1. Retreat should be renamed to “Assume Logan Formation”
2. And that also fixes your “hey a guardian cant flee, a guardian dies where he is…”
Mesmer – (Dun: ?, Lev: C, Tag: F) Oh my lord they are bad at tagging. Good luck there. As for leveling, also not very good, they can’t tank very well, and they don’t have the best aoe damage around. While FABULOUS at PvP, their PvE is pretty darn weak. Having said that, their WvW is incredible due to top tier dueling and overpowered utility spells (mesmer pull, mesmer portal). I don’t really know about their dungeon prowess but I don’t see that much potential. Perhaps they are decent on boss fights due to their strong single target dps from range. Hard difficulty.
Engineer – (Dun: ?, Lev: ?, Tag: ?) I see about one of these a day, I have no ability to form an opinion of them in PvE either. They put boxes down, turrets, and shoot stuff. Medium difficulty to play well with the varying kits i think…
Necromancer – (Dun: B+, Lev: A-, Tag: A+) Necromancers are surprisingly tanky, and can build for lots of dps (and still be tanky). I’ve played around with both condition build and power/crit build, and I find (although I have limited experience) Power/Crit is incredible for leveling. Between death shroud and staff + axe/dagger you keep putting out huge damage in both single target and aoe, with plenty of health (due to death shroud). Dungeon wise, they provide good dps (again power/crit) while being tanky. I’m not the biggest fan of conditionmancers, as I find conditions a bit lackluster. Wells are very powerful throughout, providing good damage and utility. Their tagging is by far the best of any class due to their marks. They can pre-emptively place these suckers where the mobs spawn and BAM gold. Of the three casters, the easiest to use.
Elementalist – (Dun: B, Lev: B, Tag: A) Elementalist provide great dps, but they are as squishy as can be. Thus their leveling is great in that they can nuke a group down fast..but they are just as likely to die. They are also not really noob friendly, having to master 4 attunements to maximize their potential. In dungeons, their damage is good, but its their support that really shines. With their constant heals and might buff they make dungeon runs incredibly smooth and efficient. Their tagging is bested only by Necromancers due to having to somewhat react to mobs spawning as opposed to just using marks. Hard to use well.
Thief – (Dun: B-, Lev: C+, Tag: B+) While they absolutely shine in PvP, their PvE lifestyle isn’t as glamorous. They struggle to level for quite some time, as they can just about tank nothing. It’s only when you get a few talents to reduce initiative that you can start killing things before they can react. But even then, sustained dps is a struggle (important for random respawns of mobs). In dungeons, they put out huge dps…but die quite easily. This becomes an issue as mobs tend to take a while to put down (especially bosses). They can’t survive in melee range (from what i’ve seen). Their tagging is good due to their bow. The AoE and automatic ricochet makes tagging quite easy. Medium difficulty, requires a lot of finesse to play well.
Ranger – (Dun: ?, Lev: ?, Tag: ?) I don’t know enough about this class, but I tend to think of them as decent. I would like to think their leveling is quite strong, as they have a capable tank (in their pet), while pew pewing safely from afar. Their dungeon ability is probably similar. Tagging should be fine with ranged aoe. But in sum: 1. I don’t know the class well enough to comment, 2. Their PvP is somewhere between mediocre and horrendous, it kind of clouds my judgement a bit. 3. There aren’t that many of them around. As far as I can tell, easy to use.

Note this is SOLELY my opinion. The purpose is to discuss these classes and help highlight which classes need some help, which classes are good for beginners, etc. Feedback is greatly appreciated, feel free to post what you guys think about the classes! I will try to focus on three main aspects: Dungeons, Leveling, and Tagging.
Dungeons highlight how strong they are in a 5 man group.
Leveling focuses on..well leveling (and also solo play).
Tagging is a smaller niche for farming purposes, essentially how easy it is to get “Gold” medals in giant farm fests (formally seen in plinx event farm…which has been nerfed to oblivion).
Guardian (Dun: A, Lev: A+, Tag: B )- Picking between the warrior and the guardian is quite difficult. In late game dungeons they are both equally strong. Guardians tend to be more defensive, survive better, and provide strong defensive boons for the party. I give the slight edge to guardians due to their ability to level EASIER (not necessarily faster), as they are virtually impossible to kill while leveling. They are also surprisingly good at tagging things with their staves. Just spam 1 for clustered enemies. Note their primary weakness is long range dps. They are probably the easiest class to use.
Warrior – (Dun: A, Lev: A-, Tag: B ) Warriors do more damage, provide strong offensive boons, and has the advantage of range dps (crucial for many bosses) over a Guardian. Leveling can be incredibly fast due to high aoe damage, but they aren’t nearly as survivable as a Guardian, so it takes a bit more finesse. Tagging is a little hard, but their use of a bow or greatsword (mobile aoe) keeps their tagging ability decent. Also, while they may not be as durable as a Guardian for leveling purposes, they run circles around their defensive counterparts. Mobility matters a lot while leveling, and warriors can be one of the most mobile classes. Note: A support shout warrior with a support Altruistic healing guardian creates insane synergy for dungeon runs. Also very easy to use.

Well to add my two cents. I’ve been running the latest dungeon (Fractals of the Myst) and gotten pretty far in with my build. I’m a bit lazy to make a build on build editor but basically you rely on your Shouts Heal trait with triple shouts. You get shake it off, on my mark, and for great justice. These three are all on a short cooldown (especially since you will trait 20% faster cooldown on shouts), thus providing aoe heal of 1200 every 20 or so seconds, x3. Each has their own benefit as well, between increased dps (On my mark for burst, for great justice for general), and conditional removal. Now that costs 30 traits, what do you do with the last 40? Simple. Put twenty in discipline. This gets you the increased crit rate, and the vengeance kill = rally. Both of these are amazing for pve. You can also select 20% cooldown on signet (if you go signet of rage), which I feel is more important for pvp, but less for pve. With your last 20, put atleast 10 in Berserker’s power, and 10 as you like. This gets you great dps and great utility. Though the longbow is decent, the rifle is in my opinion much better. Though this is very situational. I say this because longbow is good for AOE dps, while rifle is good for single target dps. 9 times out of 10, AOE mobs I will be using my greatsword (your primary weapon). Thus eliminating the need for a longbow. On the other hand, MANY boss fights require atleast some ranged combat, and it is often much safer to be at ranged. This is why you pick the Rifle for its superior single target dps. Thus you have strong damage, strong utility, equipment for both long range and melee, aoe damage, and tankiness. Make sure to have sufficient vitality and toughness, leaning towards toughness due to your strong healing.
Note: Use healing surge. Conditions are less important in PvE than PvP, and you get the most bang for your buck with surge. Signet is decent too, but when you pop it for its mediocre burst heal, you lose the passive for a significant amount of time.
and you havta buy the recipe for 10g with miyani
gift of light is BOA im fairly certain.
just my two cents on volcanus.
I’m willing to bet the recipe will be something along these lines:
Scroll + 70 Mystic Coins + 250 Ori GS Blades + Vial of Liquid Flame.
Vial of Liquid Flame of course takes: Gift of Baelfire, 100 Destroyer Lodestone, 100 Molten Lodestone, 250 Ghost Peppers.
Actually this sounds a LOT like the actual recipe…
an easy fix, make them glow all the time!
