Bingo. I realize that the norns popularity comes from it being basically an over sized human, but the proportions don’t break any established lore that I understand. Norns are near-human, not human. Or is it that humans are near norn? Maybe the norns think the humans feet look funny.

I am right there with you.

That is the issue. It isn’t fun and engaging. The fight ends incredibly quick and offers no level of challenge. Like I said in my original post, it should be a guaranteed win for anyone at their keyboard. However, it should not be this easy.

I would love to have more social clothing. As it stands right now, this area is pretty empty.

I wanted to start recording some clips so I hid the interface only to find that my rotation speed was incredibly slow. I discovered, after closing many programs, that Overwolf was the issue. This is less of a request for help and more of a heads up to anyone who is having the issue and uses Overwolf. I have used Overwolf since launch and this is the first issue I have encountered with it while using GW2.

For those who do not remember, this is the giant wurm that you fight upon starting your journey. As I have defeated it many times now, I am confident when I say that its difficulty needs improvement. Defeating this creature is far too easy of a task. I am reminded of the battle in the Sylvari area with the same kind of creature. It is a near exact experience except that the Sylvari wurm presents a challenge and its knockback, if memory serves, was further. I understand that the first encounter should be a guaranteed victory as long as the player is trying. However, that doesn’t mean it needs to end only moments after having begun.

This experience could be a great one but at the moment is one of the more forgettable beginnings.

I believe their names take inspiration from the Celtic families. They also don’t have last names unless emulating humans. This is only as I understand it though, and is not based on some grand knowledge. I chose Broin as it fits this theme.

I don’t think it was for technical reasons as there are many limits that you could place upon it. I suspect it had more to do with preference.

I would like to see the pollen make its return as well.

During the beta I played sylvari because I didn’t think I would be interested in them. Now I can’t imagine being anything else. I am Broin, Sylvari thief and Alpha of the Rain Dogs.

Rules
1) Your characters name(s) must attempt to fit with the lore of the world. We don’t expect you to crack open lore websites/books, but we will not accept “Lord of Derps” either.
2) Being a light roleplaying guild we do not have high unfair expectations of our members. We ask that you do take into consideration other peoples role play and be respectful of it.
3) You are not required to always represent our guild, we only ask that you do so on a regular basis. You are welcome to join as many guilds as you like.
4) Follow the laws of common sense and be a decent individual to others and especially to fellow guild members.

Ranks
There are five ranks in total.

Alpha: Leader of the guild.
Beta: In essence the hand of the Alpha. If you require assistance in something that the Alpha is unavailable to help with, then you may talk to the Beta.
Elder: Members that have proven themselves trust worthy of additional privileges, beyond Juvenile.
Juvenile: First full member rank of the guild. All Juveniles have access to the most useful guild options.
Initiate: Fresh recruits into the guild. Privileges are limited until being promoted to the rank of Juvenile.

Keeping It Small
We believe that a small, and tight-knit, guild is preferable to a large loosely-knit guild. Guild Wars 2 is more than just a grind and our members are more than just cannon fodder to bolster our influence with. Discussions about quaggan psychology are just as important to us, if not more so, than your +25 precision boots. We keep it small so that our members benefit because at the end of the day we all just wan’t to have a good time in the company of others.

PvE
Killing a skritt or a hylek is a tough thing to do. Being that these are neither suited for the life of a house pet nor can they be ridden upon, then all adorableness must be set aside and they must be dispatched. It is with a heavy heart that our Guild runs through zone after zone together clearing whole villages of such creatures, the load only lightened by the squishing of cave spiders beneath our boots and the bounty of [Sticks of Butter] that we enjoy. Perhaps one day, when we retire, we can form a new guild of butter sculptors.

WvW
We enjoy it and do it regularly together. We only just recently claimed and held Bluevale Refuge for the majority of the night in a situation where Tarnished Coast held nothing else. Ballistas and choke points are your friend when dealing with waves of enemies.

PvP

RP
We foster an environment that doesn’t discourage or force role playing. Many of our members enjoy the light role playing environment and can regularly be seen engaging in role play in Lion’s Arch, Divinity’s Reach, or any of the other hubs where players gather. Just as some of us enjoy role playing, others are content with simply having a lore appropriate name and playing their game. That is okay with us. All that we ask is that you be considerate of others role play.

First you will be granted entry as an initiate. Assuming that you interact with other guild members and don’t cause any grief then you will be made a full member with more privileges at the discretion of the Alpha (leader) and the Beta (second in command).
