To provide some context on this change:

We felt that Blighter’s Boon was providing too much survivability, especially with the amount of boon output that Heralds and Tempests can provide. (This is especially true in WvW and large PvE Zergs). I did like the interaction this trait had with your allies, but boon application from allies is too broad of a category for us to reasonably balance in all modes of the game.

We considered a lot of other possibilities for this skill including adding an ICD, limiting the procs to specific boons, limiting the number of procs from allies, but the majority of these types of fixes ended up taking agency and control away from the reaper which we felt wasn’t optimal.

Ultimately we felt this change helped to make the trait more specific to some builds rather than the best trait in all situations.

Since you have the means to separate self generated boons and outside boons, wouldn’t it be better to just put a 1 sec ICD on the outside boons and see how it goes?Or would that be too much of a internal issue?

I agree it makes the trait even more of a niche pick in certain builds but its also only makes it viable with Spite attached.

I don’t think this is a bug, but I’m having a hard time with it.

I’m working on the Twilight collection and at the point for the Cathedral of Zephyrs, The instance I’m in already had the Cathedral open and after waiting two hours, the “maintain the cathedral” event came up. We succeeded the event, but no chest showed up.

I don’t think this is a bug for certain, but does this require allowing the temple to fall before reclaiming it?

Yes the “maintain the cathedral” event must fail so you can do the reclaim event from scratch (escort the scholar, then malchor)
The item will be in the final chest after you defeat dwayna.

Quickening Thirst + Signet of the Locust

Swiftness also doesn’t stack with locust. the way it works is the highest movement speed boost takes place over the lower so there’s effectively no stacking of movespeed.

What baffles the mind is locking us to 20 points in death magic to get a (to my opinion) must have trait for staff which is a weapon that basically goes in every build. i mean i like the size increase in un-traited marks but honestly.. the lack of synergy in our trait trees is beyond stupid (newest eg. dhuum fire in power 30)
Not even going to comment on the Death Shroud nerf. bug fix is nice but introducing the overflow is just nasty :\

I kinda agree with tobias, albeit with less dramatism it was a unnecessary change to something that wasn’t broken to begin with…

well for me it was just a misclick between preview and confirm. It would be nice to add a are you sure yes or no box to prevent this mistakes to happen further i guess. misclicks shouldn’t be irreversible imho

Well long story short, i was previewing all of the zenith weapons from the reward chest and i miss clicked on confirm, and worse of all i did it on the torch and as a necromancer i do not have a use for it.
Well it also turns out the skin is soulbound so i can’t just trade it to one of my alts, if its possible to either rollback my receiving the chest or just straight replacing the skin for something else (Dagger would be cool) i would be tremendously grateful.

Same as everyone else, after this patch and more noticiable today its freakin uplayable, constant crashes, disconnect on loading screens ( and dont get me started on those as in they take AGES and i mean i litterly alt tab and play/do something else while i wait) and error 7-11-3-189-101 all day every day. latest patch seems to have done it for me

Edit: Guesting on another server seemed to fix it, Still playing on Underworld EU is out of question for now :\

i don’t think the “making another toon and getting him into 100% exploration” part is the worst of your problems on the road to acquiring 4 legendary weapons :P

I did the dungeon with my guild mates and on ventrilo the first time before all the patches.
what i can say from personal experience is that the way it was back then we could actually kill/kite all the mobs with relatively ease ( read, we died a couple times and had to run back, but i blame those deaths on being new to the game/dungeon) then they changed something in which we could no longer kill the mobs, they spawned to fast and with crazy damage, so we kited, since it was only 1 minute we could kite and do it with relatively low death counts ( now i blame them 50/50 part being a newbie at that difficulty, and the other part being a bit to “challenging”). now the duration is 3 minutes or so , thats just kitten #8230; we cant kill the mobs, we cant kite them and not die alot of times and keep running back to keep magg alive.

You ll have to pardon my English, but with all this i m not saying that we didn’t explore all options.
We tried having 1 substitute outside to “tag” when someone was out of dodges/escapes, we tried it in groups, we even brought specific classes aka guardians to make it easier (which is something Anet said that would never be needed with the abolition of the holy trinity)
IMO the way that part is atm is not challenging is just plain dumb, as a dark souls player i love the challenge in games, but what i see there isn’t challenge is just something badly designed… :\

Maybe because a dungeon that’s based upon dying over and over and just WP running is BS…
I mean if you HAVE to die over and over and “graveyard run” as everyone calls it now since its so common in GW2 dungeons, then something HAS to be wrong with it…

And the glyph exploit, i mean the glyph has like what?.. 2/3 min cooldown? i m not on my Ele but if the OP said its 3 times that’s 6 to 9 minutes waiting which is 2 to 3 times more than kiting so …if you ask me, the way things are now i would rather take that boring part instead of paying 20 silvers on repairs from a fairly bad designed dungeon part…

Wonderful Thread, been checking it and keeping tabs on what not to use on my necro :P

Might have something to add tho, in the Deathly Swarm skill, my experience is that it either transfers 0 conditions (mostly when i auto attack to fast while casting it) or sometimes transfers only 1 condition while it says up to 3 ( this happens mostly when there’s only a single target and none else to bounce, so i am guessing either the tool tip is not explicit enough or it is bugged)
