[GT] Is a Small Roaming/Zergbusting Guild.

We are very team oriented with each player running specific builds, Calling CCs, stuns, stability, and etc.

We’re mainly looking for a kitten Warrior, Staff Ele, and Support Guardian to complete the comp. But we’re willing to look into anyone who is interested that think they can hang. We have high standards as players who have all been in renowned guilds such as [BLNT], [AoN], [NS], and [TheD]. Players interested or looking to join MUST be able to hold their own. Also, having the right mindset is key within [GT]. Always putting the Team above anything else.

A little about us:
As stated earlier we are a collection of players from many servers and from many renowned guilds. We formed a little under a month ago and we’ve been kittening kitten up in WvW ever since. Although our primary is zergbusting as a guild all of our players enjoy solo roaming and dueling when we’re not together.

VoIP
We use TS3 as our form of communication and it is a requirement for those interested.

Just like when Edge of the Mists was going to be implemented ArenaNet put a feature out that allowed guilds to apply and test the new map. Will there be any beta testing feature for the new borderland map that is to come?

If so my guild would definitely be interested and I know there are many others that would be too.

I ran multiple builds within this video. Some were 2/1/6/1/4 ~ 2/0/6/5/1 ~ 0/0/4/6/4 and there were more. In my opinion it’s best to figure out your own build and work from there. Btw not full zerk but I do use alot of it.

I think it would be more server and guild based. I don’t think there is a “best”, but more of who is more known for their Guardian play. I know amongst my guild [ALL], I am regarded as one of the top Guardians, in Yaks Bend, one of the most famous Guardians in my other guild [YUM] is Famme (the guy who made divinitysreach.com). When it comes to SPvP, though, my friend Laegacy is sooooo much better than I ever have been at playing offensive DPS Guard, but I can bunker against 3-4 ppl, unless they’re a bunch of necros or engis, then I have problems. There’s those that are known for WvW roaming, like Raylze from [BLNT], he’s pretty decent from what I’ve seen. I think another friend of my Xasten Holyseeker has one of the highest WvW ranks BEFORE the 4/15 patch (I do believe he was over the 1K rank). Or Saeryn Azrael, who came up with a lot of the Guardian builds our guild uses for raiding. To many variables to narrow it down, and “best” is relative.

Fields last for 3sec. All Fields on a 15Sec CD would be kitten imo

Also I wouldn’t want a Speed Signet I would want a trait like Warrior Sprint or Power Shoes, Hell it doesn’t even need to be 25% If I can get 15% Increase Movement speed I would be so happy. Then I won’t have to use Travy Runes

Have you played a mesmer?

Mesmers have 12 seconds of swiftness on a 25 second cooldown. For movement abilities, they can blink 900 yards every 30 seconds and if you get really fancy, you can do a quick 180 and use Phase Retreat on the staff then do another fast 180 for a teleport that’s a bit faster than running.

Guardians get 100% swiftness by using 2 shouts and a staff. If you have staff/GS, then you can use Leap of Faith every 15 seconds on top of that.

Most Guardians that run shouts don’t even use “Retreat” which is the shout that gives the most swiftness, Also I don’t notice many Staff Gaurdians unless they’re in a zerg and if you’re a zergling then you should get 100% Swiftness anyways. My leap is a little nice though I can agree there.

Yeah, guardian damage is top tier; guardian just has a big problem with being able to make it all hit the target. Being very limited in mobility and soft CC makes it difficult to play a guardian as anything but a bunker, which is a shame when you take into account the fact that any class should be able to at least somewhat spec for any role when built for it.

This says it all we have no soft CC and our mobility isn’t really that great either.

Or you might be getting warrior and guardian mixed up, because the F1 skill on hammer for warrior kinda looks like MB especially at close proximity but, it stuns on hit (which obviously can interrupt) other than that I dunno bud.

I just recently started playing my guardian again, and can’t seem to find a good balance in my armor/runes/trinkets/traits. I watched your video a few times and really like the balance between your damage and sustain. Care to share your secrets?

Sorry for the late reply bud I’ve been so busy with work Anyways I do not use purging flames at all, Also my gear is a mix of Celestial and Zerk gear. I use ruby orbs because they’re a cheap alternative to divinity. Very first vid with the late 1v2 is – 0 0 30 20 20

What is your spec look like?

Im gonna guess, based on the video, that its 0/0/30/30/10. He didn’t go 15 into virtues, and he didn’t drop a symbol of wrath at 25% nor did his VoJ blind anyone. All meditation traits in Valor. In honor Pure of Heart, 2h CD, and empowering might (maybe). Thats my final answer =D

The spec is 0/5/30/30/5, which they’re taking all the Meditation traits in Valor and taking Writ of Exaltation, Two-Handed Mastery and Writ of the Merciful in Honor. As for armor/trinkets, I’m assuming it’s a mix of Soldier’s and Knight’s, maybe a few crit damage trinkets. For the runes, not a clue.

I switch between specs depending on how I feel. These are some old clips and I know I switched between two builds. Sometimes it was 10/0/30/25/5 or the other could be 0/10/30/25/5. Right now I’m testing a different build hopefully this one will be better than the two above.

Haha yea I knew this was coming. Personally I think I do fine as a clicker. Ascii the necro is also clicker and he kicks kitten 1v2ing and 1v3ing on his stream. At the end of the day it’s just how you wanna play but, who knows maybe i’d be 5x better if I didn’t play with a crutch.

Runes of Speed

I have traveler runes brah and I like them but, I don’t like to be pigeon held to speed runes just because i’m slow. Other classes have mobility traits or speed signets (maybe not mesmer but, they’re fast in combat while Guardians are still slow in combat.) and I think Guards should get something even it’s only a 10% speed buff.

Dang Guardian mobility isn’t getting buffed yet?
Why does warrior (the most mobile class in the game) have an Adept Trait that makes them run 25% faster while Guardians are still slow as kitten? I think you guys should give Guardians something like that trait, hell make it 20% and possibly put it in a master tree and i’ll still trait for it.

Hard to scale how effective you are without knowing the setup your guildies are running.

My guild is fairly small and some days we have alot of people and some days there’s like 3 of us on. Nobody in my guild (from what I know) runs any support build we’re all kinda of selfish so we run 1vX builds. We just play for fights and play for fun I hope you guys know the videos I post are not to impress anyone or show skill. Clearly I get alot of flak from being a clicker alone lol but, my point is the videos are for entertainment purposes just to show a little small group WvW action and some Guardian Gameplay.

Work on dodging into your enemy before MB. You’re loosing alot of healing for both yourself and your grp. Also, you would have connected more of your MB’s.

Same can be said before you Leap w/ the GS… it will also get you a bit more distance.

EDIT: More Targeting. Doesn’t always have to be the focus. Sometimes you put it on the High DPS or Condi (Necro/Engi) Class. It’s one you want to use your interupt on while your MA (Main Assist) is who you follow for DPS/Spiking.

Guardians in pvp arnt trash. watch the vid. its the player not the class pvp takes alot more skill with guardian killing people than it does in wvw Just saying.

Ehh I’m probably just biased cause I hate spvp in general didn’t mean any hate.
Plus in pvp I usally only have problems with Condi Engis where in WvW I don’t have much of a problem.

Tomorrow I’m going to be changing my build since Guardians get a little buff (yay!) but right now I’m at 20 0 30 20 0 I’m just testing different traits and what not.

If you plan on PvEing then just get zerk gear all the way (Power Precision Crit Dmg)
When your Lv80 and all your doing is PvEing then stick with zerker gear if you’re gonna WvW then it’s a whole new ball game.

No condi removals are good enough to keep up with condi application. Scepter does suck, but its the only thing that has decent range, even though it misses 3 out of 5 times lol. The AoE dot is nice too, for attacking an upgraded tower/keep. But yea, Hammer is awesome, its fun too. Just once they start to run away and you used your CD’s, theres nothing you can do :/

I just don’t play with enough condi removal then :P
