I am terribly sorry for your loss, and as many others before me have said; I hope the feature to commemorate loved ones/leaders will be added as well.

Many comments have already outlined how this feature could be used at each guild’s own discretion, so it does not affect other players or the open world map in any way. I don’t see anything wrong with including a feature that allows people to do this.

A solution to the statue problem someone mentioned earlier: what about instead including non-player specific statues/structures? This is generic enough that it can be repurposed in each guild hall accordingly without a lot of extra work. Just a thought. I’m having a hard time expressing what I’m thinking of… maybe I will concept it up and post it here if that is acceptable?

Another speed-paint “for tips” style commission.

There is always a chance I’ll be burned (no tip or low tip) when producing art for tips so the quality varies by a lot depending on how I’m feeling or how inspired I am. Something like this would go under the ‘sketch/speedpaint’ category.

In-game-gold equivalent of those prices is totally accepted, just calculate the cash-to-gems-to-gold rate for a ballpark figure.

While I would like to do commissions myself, I also want to commission other artists in the future. I’ve seen some really interesting and beautiful styles from the other artists.

Before I barge into the GW2 fan art-commission game, I’d like to clarify whether this is acceptable or not. I am looking at doing art commissions for real life and/or in-game currency but don’t want to be stepping on any toes.

If someone who knows the policy on this could get back to me, it would be really great. I would love to start doing commissions but can’t seem to find anything conclusive about what is legal and reasonably within ToS.

As Princesses pointed out, screencaps and style preference would help.

Personally, while I do have my own style, I work to match whatever style a client wants (at least to the best of my abilities). Pricing of course varies depending on the complexity of the characters (armor and so on), the pose, setting and whether there is a background or not.

If using in-game currency, check the current prices of converting gold to gems and the amount of gems you’d get with $70. Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you need more pricing examples.

Quick Notes: Newly expanding guild alert!
We are a no drama, equal rights guild with zero tolerance for the negative ‘isms’, bullying and trolling.

The guild is to be run by multiple people (preferably experienced players and veterans) to ensure someone is around to moderate throughout the day. We’re recruiting new members and officers alike as a trial run since we are just expanding now. Officers who have proven themselves will gain a chance to be promoted to co-leader status. I don’t often do fan-art, but when I do, it’s a Sylvari.

I’m just sad that the monthlies don’t reset based on the timezone you happen to be in. I had thought I had until March 1st (which in my timezone is tomorrow), and was going to do the last dungeon today with my friends so that we wouldn’t have to pug it. I only had one left to do to finish my monthlies and since I don’t have much time to play, this really chafed me raw. Both myself and my friends in New Zealand thought it would be reset based on PST and planned around that. ._.

Signing this as well. For that matter, why did the monthly reset in the middle of the last day of the month? I was one dungeon away from completion of the monthly, and now it has reset. This is really frustrating.

Located on Blackgate, we are a casual guild comprised of working adults/parents and college students from various parts of the world, which is to say that the ideal applicants are mature individuals (probably active to semi-active casual players themselves). We are also a close-knit group and a family-guild.

This is a no drama group, and we all understand that people have work, studies and lives outside of the game as we all do. Hours of activity vary. We are doing our best to obtain useful guild upgrades, so some daily activity is definitely preferred.
