Beta weekend players, HoT worth it or not?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I think so. I’m not big on the fluff of ultimate editions….but the base price of HoT is well worth it. Gameplay for the dollars is good, and the new content is great quality. Keep in mind that with beta, we don’t have access to everything coming, but what I’ve seen makes me feel good about the purchase.
This is a good decision …but really…only if they add a new reward that’s same value and desirability every year.
There’d be a ‘Year of *’ vendor added every year, with their own rewards roster.
This way, spending the tickets stays a major decision, according to which reward you want to work towards. Which would spread out the tickets being spent as well.
these vendors could be displayed similar to the BLTC vaults?
I like small frequent updates. Where the world is slowly expanding and growing and I can take it in at a steady pace. It works better than HUGE drop of an expac, which players tend to binge play on…then a drought spell where everyone is grumpy/bored….with that cycle being on wash/rinse/repeat.
Right now I think the storyline has about the perfect amount of romance in it. Enough to add interest…but not enough to be over saccharine.
As for the idea of the player character involved in romance of any sort…an emphatic no. Each individual has very unique and personal ideas of a suitable partner, and to impose one set of characteristics isn’t particularly fair.
From google:
Etymologically-speaking, “oriental” is hardly pejorative, deriving from a French term which basically translates to “Eastern” (and still exists as French “orientale“). In other words, one might describe it as a Latinate antonym of “Westerner,” a term which Europeans and Americans take little offense at.
Mind you…there’s plenty of sites arguing the reverse, and what it boils down to is anyone can take something and get offended at it, depending on how sensitive they are about certain things.
Also, if said in a hostile manner..yes, just about any word can become offensive as well.
I’d certainly hope it was obvious I meant no harm in my use of it.
A bunch of hair/face and armor suggests under the link, created by me in spare time for digital practice as it’s a skill I’m trying to improve:

(attached my favorite as a preview thingy)
Dragonfly wing glider. Insect wings design.
Undead dragon wings…like wingbones with tattered flesh draping between.
Manta Ray themed glider.
Jeweled wings…perhaps dragontype wings with jewels and jewelry ornate decoration.
A rocket pack on my back. Like…old school tnt style look like I’m gonna blow myself up. My engi needs this.
seraphim backglider……double winged glider. with hawk wing construction…but shaped and modeled to be a double wingset.
Lionfish fins glider. Those frilly fins man…with stripes and bright colors.
For condi builds this is a really onerous issue. It’d be great if objects took condi damage, particularly the older ones.
+1 support!
I don’t like the gold requirements with the current system. As guild leader it means I’m either broke 90% of the time…or I become a bill collector to my members to get help paying for upgrades, which I simply won’t do.
I miss the influence system dearly. sigh.
yep…I wish I had a dye channel for my abilities. Just one dye channel. My necro is a vision of pink and turquoise. Granted, I could redesign her to be green…maybe I’m just OCD…but just putting it out there in case there’s a 1% chance it could happen.
I’d love to be able to have more feminine asura options without breasts pleasssse.
I like loot bags. They allow me to open and deal with bag space issues later at my convenience.
However, I agree they could use some refinement. Make fewer types of loot bags. Maybe just one of each rarity type, with loot drops of that rarity in each.
