Going through the forums I have noticed a lot of people saying that the Scrapper trait line is really only good for rolling with the Hammer. Looking at the traits provided, I tend to agree. In my opinion, this is a good thing. Unlike the other professions, we aren’t practically forced into taking our elite spec just to be successful. It’s just a different way of playing.
Ultimately this is good for the future. By keeping Scrapper as an optional, alternative way to play, it paves the way for more varied elite specs for engi in the future. Thus the adaptive nature of the engineer shines.

We are a proud profession. We came through some really dark times in the beginning. We still struggle today. Other professions look down on us, saying we are the jack of all trades, master of none profession. I say take pride in that fact!
Masters of none we may be, but we can still do it all! Sure our turrets struggle from engagement to engagement, but for a time they were things to be feared on control points across the mists! We only have four weapons to our name but their synergy is unmatched! With kit and gadget and gyro we stride across the battlefield!
Nerf after nerf we have remained a stalwart profession. Always I have seen the Engineer forum as different from the rest. Whereas other professions have lamented their nerfs and slandered other professions, Engineers have always continued to innovate, adapt, learn, and overcome. We take our nerfs in stride, figure out a different way to succeed, and say “please ANET, may I have another?” Other professions may look down on us, but we stand defiant! With hammers and rifles in hand we continue to march on to victory!
Brother and sister Engineers, remember where our profession came from and take heart in all we have accomplished! Be proud of your adaptability and remember…
WE ARE ENGINEERS!

I found an interesting bug today when I was previewing armor on my character. I took off the chest piece so it would be easier to see the leg armor. I did the armor preview with just boots and legs but when I cleared out the leg armor to leave just the boots it took away my character’s underwear.
This only happens when I have an outfit currently showing on my character. I tried it with the Daydreamer’s Finery and the Ancestral Outfit and both caused the same glitch. Attempting to get the same glitch without an active outfit caused the preview to revert back to the pants my character is actually wearing. I changed to a female character to see if the same glitch occurs when removing the chest piece (in the name of science, not perversion) and fortunately my character kept her modesty under all conditions.
As far as I can tell it’s only the bottom underwear that disappears. I have included a picture to show what is occurring during the glitch.
Thank you

I’ve been playing around with the rifle and I’ve come up with a build that I enjoy using. It utilizes the close range of the rifle and tool kit with plenty of control. I mainly use it in pve roaming as an excellent single target build.

I usually start with net shot-> jump shot-> (switch to tool kit while in mid air) pry bar-> box of nails-> blunderbuss-> overcharge shot
Throw wrench can be used for good range damage while you let the bleeds tick on the opponent.
When up close you can also use rocket kick for a good burn on the target.
I use the thumper turret when I engage more than a few targets. Thump is good for clearing out a little space around you while the turret itself can take a few good hits and put out a little damage as well.
I’ve found Rumble to be very useful as a stunbreaker.
Med kit is my favorite heal in the game because its so versatile and has such a low cd.
Supply drop is a very good support elite that provides additional turrets and med packs.
This is just a build I’ve been playing around with and I’ve been really enjoying it. I’m looking for feedback on the usability of this build and some ideas on how to tweak it.
Thank you

If you’re talking about Glint then there is a reason why she is not in GW2. I won’t throw out any spoilers but I will say that you should read the book Guild Wars: Edge of Destiny to find out why she isn’t showing up.

If youre still looking to do tailoring, you can just reactivate it on your main for a little bit of silver. It’ll still the the same level it was when you dropped it.

In terms of modern heroes being more powerful than ancestors, as suggested by the ghost in the Eye of the North, it could be seen as a justification that back then max health (without sigils and stuff) was 600 whereas now its many times higher.
