Yup once you get used to your class more you can solo Camps, Towers and even Keeps with ease. I’ve done Keeps with my D/D Thief and Warrior! Never had the chance to try SM :P

warriors have always had the highest dps melee aoe in game….thieves HAD the highest single target. now thieves are tied for 2nd/3rd with warriors even tho warriors deal more dmg by atleast double. speed of their gs is faster than our 1hs? wierd. dmg is higher too and targets up to 5 in 130 range. when mug was nerfed thief went from 1st on single target dps to 3rd.

Thief sword and warrior GS have the same cast times of 1/2 second. The damage is higher because they can’t stealth and they only hit 3 targets, not five. So the extra 3k-4k (?) damage from the crit drops the thief two spots? Not saying warriors dont have high damage, just dislike when people throw inaccurate stats around in arguments.

Oh I see what I didn’t understand, zerker gear is the best choice for a condition based class. You are such a good player you can kill zergs by yourself and guardian is a really bad support class in large groups. Yeah my tiny little brain, I must try to broaden my experience so I can fully understand your genius.

Zerker gear IS the best choice for a necro yes, I will continue to say this because conditions are broken right now and I have tested every build under the sun for necro. Just saying the damage is very high allowing multiple people to be dropped fast when I dive into a big zerg and do a quick AOE well bomb. And zastari I hope we can duel somehow, and I assure you will take that back Since you rated necro last place out of all classes in WvW backs my point even more that condition based necros are not a viable option. Top necro players do NOT use condition based gear.

I invite you to come to T9 and fight a necro in my guild. He’ll change your mind about condition not being viable

I don’t understand everyone’s difficulty with thieves. As someone said before, if you get killed by a glass thief, you are either glassy yourself or are upscaled. Every time a thief pops out of stealth behind me and tries to burst me (which usually hits a max of 7k) I laugh at them, use three abilities and they’re shadowstepping back to their zergling team mates with their tail between their legs and a quarter health left.

Come to T9, (not everyone please!) there are no queues, less zergs (Not recently with Arborstone zerging around though), and interesting late-time small group fights.

Haha I like it. The alliance is already in effect by the way Last night a couple Dark players and I teamed up with a Vabbi Commander. We backed them up in a couple outnumbered fights and ended up keeping them busy for a few hours while Vabbi and our Commander took most of the BL. The 3 way fights get pretty messy though haha.. don’t try to hit ‘F’ to revive Vabbis… it doesn’t end as you would hope!

I’m thinkin about transferring to T9, but reading this, playing for Vabbi or FoW does not seem to be THAT much fun, since they’re dominated by BT?
Or is it still possible for smaller groups to actually achieve something?

Sure BT is dominating us in score because they have such bigger numbers during the day, but during the night is when t9 is the most fun, when our numbers are near equal. Numerous times we’ve taken 90% of all maps and even more times all of EB. Just last night 3 guildies and I effectively spawn camped ~10+ BT in EB at Aldon’s tower while Vabbi and our Commander conquered most of the map. Small groups really make the difference in T9. Feel free to join us if you’d like

Only a T9 WvW player has never seen a BL queue before ;)
Only a WvW player targets the player with the legendary first because they’ll be an easy kill
Only a WvW player knows how to get badges the right way, instead of farming JPs
Only a WvW player knows that ‘WvWvW’ is the incorrect abbreviation

The XP/titles are purely a measure of time-played. You don’t get more/less credit for solo kills or high rank so it’s just going to be a list of people who do World vs Door the most.

So true.. the mindless zergy players are obviously going to have a higher rank than people like me who just roams or goes in small groups.. then again Anet wants WvW to be filled with non-skilled zerglings!

Totally agree! Btw, how is RoS doing up in the higher tiers? Been a while since we’ve played against you guys. We used to always be paired up together down in the bottom tier. I remember fighting you a good amount of times

Only a WvW player knows how to use every movement skill and speed buff to maximum efficiency to get from spawn to Briar tower the fastest.

Yeaa.. I have well over 1400 kills and I’m only on the second tier.

Ivano has a great point. If you’re looking for skilled WvW players and a great home for your guild, Fissure of Woe is where it’s at. For the majority of our time in WvW, we’ve been outnumbered but never out matched. I believe we could do great things if we had the numbers that our enemies boast, and we would gladly welcome you to our Server.

We usually roam around with a Warrior, Thief, Guardian and Ele, which I think this is a great variety of classes. We can usually take on small zergs of around 10-15 – depending on the levels of course. We’ve also turned the tide on many a siege by just storming the attacking zerg from behind. Guardian is great for jumping in and pulling them all together while tanking and Thief is invaluable for revives and finishers. Ele can also use some great aoe heals and dmg while Warrior can dish out some high numbers and hammer cc.

A good amount have, unfortunately. Can’t say I blame them though, WvZerg is getting a bit tiring. Still enjoy the late night skirmishes though.

Trust me, we (FoW) were as disappointed as you were that you guys didn’t tier up. I also agree with you, Neandramathal… when i’m able to come on, which is usually night time, it seems its always the same fights with the exact same people. Although, this week it seems some of us have lost interest, as our score is really lacking coming out of the gate. You may yet get your wish. ^^
