I know it might be unpopular, but there should be absolutely no visualization of the rank. Showing ranks as the name is bad enough. It would make driver sniping phenomenon even more bad.
Contrary, it would be better to show your rank to players from your own server, albeit it can create discriminations against low rank players.

Full zerk 6/5/0/0/15 gs is still viable in pve. Or you can go 4/4/0/6/0 gs for support-ish build.
In any case, zerk gear is the best and only answer to pve.

To maximize hammer damage in wvw you should always go power as main stat. Then, you adjust your secondary stats/sigils/traits/runes on how you and/or your team plays.

If you want actual end-game content, you should do pvp or join wvw guild, since these game modes are the ones that push players’ abilities beyond just pressing buttons to win. The best challenges in any game come from facing other players.

Except that way you balance the whole class under a single master trait which you may or may not take. Master traits should not coin the whole builds.
At the same time, changes to adrenaline may or may not increase popularity of sor and fury signet regardless of your proposed change to ci.

In the time I’ve played, I’ve witnessed several of the things people complain about on the forums, such as:
*AFK players resulting in 4v5 or worse
*disparaging comments among teammates
*insults and arguments between opposing team players
*players who give up and stop playing as soon as they’re losing by a decent amount, 50-100 points
*a loss is always everyone else’s fault
Only first point can be somewhat fixed by anet. Currently, when queuing for s/tpvp match, upon prompt, you have over a minute before match start — a time during which if person is still afk, it autosends him into match anyway, which then, ends up into bad start for a team that has that player. But even that won’t stop people from leaving match out of frustration (or any other emotional reason), which brings me to my next point.
All other problems are caused by human nature. Neither Anet, nor Riot (that was brought up in earlier example from Bhawb.7408) can fix that. In fact, it will never get fixed, no matter how hard we try. In my opinion, it should never get fixed because that is a byproduct of competition; that is the player versus player game mode. You raise stakes in the game by putting your emotions on the line. Of course losing will cause frustration, quitting, name calling, etc.; while victories bring joy and happy feelings. After all, not everyone is a victor, but if everyone is, what is the point of winning?
As per what pvp needs to be “better designed”? Few things:
- More and better maps for conquest, with rubbish ones being removed.
Conquest isn’t a bad game mode, it’s just too easy to abuse it.
- More modes. I think Capture the Flag would work well with gw2 combat system. Maybe devs can conjure up something brand new.
- Better, faster and, perhaps, riskier balance updates. That includes broadening the tools of play at players disposal, as well as rethinking the one they already have.
Every game has a meta. The healthier the game, the more evolving and fluid the meta, with counterplays developing as more matches occur — an arms race of sorts. In such situation, a developer is its moderator, giving minimal input when needed. This situation is not in gw2’s case, which is still fixable
As per rewards for finishing matches, I don’t think they are that important. They are just icing on a cake and should never, in any way or form, be the main reason for playing a game mode.

2 things about hammer for pve:
1. Unshakeable and defiant make crowd control provided by hammer pretty insignificant.
2. There is little use for crowd control outside of few occasions (i.e. veteran grawl shamans in volcanic fractal).
Now don’t get me wrong, hammer is excellent weapon. But as main weapon it excels best against non-ai controlled opponents — other players. But in pve such type of weapon is at best situational.

The ones who take those traits (hint: pve). The whole nature of those traits is against use of adrenaline, while for pvp you have better options for offensive traits.

No, the problem with adrenaline is not simply in cleansing ire. Longbow is most popular side weapon for warriors due to its huge number of utilities it provides. Combustive shot’s interaction with cleansing ire is just a cherry on top of a cake. It has blast finisher, fire field, immob, aoe blind, 2 hits per ranged autoattack (which is very important for adrenaline build up).
Building adrenaline takes time in which warrior has to successfully land attacks on target. Not losing adrenaline on a whiff means that warrior doesn’t need to build it up from scratch again. They can either wait out cooldown or swap weapons and use another burst, which has better likelyhood of successful hitting; if it also whiffs, repeat earlier step ad nauseum or until your target is exterminated.

Those traits function best when you don’t spend your adrenaline, thus achieving full effectiveness once you fill your bar. From then on its at full power as long as you don’t spend your adrenaline, and bonuses they provide are quite significant at the moment. Essentially, it’s best not use burst skill to reap full benefit of these traits.
The change to adrenaline system touches active use of burst skills. As result, the traits that might need rework are the ones that interact with active use of adrenaline.

I liked only Bazaar of the four winds, and that’s about it. It gave us a new area to explore and new ways to do it. while not being obnoxious with world-boss-like group-events or terrible story. At same time, some aspects of other LS updates were pretty good, like Queen’s gauntlet and Molten Facility.
SAB didn’t appeal to me, Halloween and Wintersday were pretty much rehashes, while other LS updates suffered from zergy content and boring story.

This relationship isn’t very good, and it wouldn’t matter whether it is of heterosexual or homosexual nature. It is just badly written.
Essentially we have two characters of same race and approximately same age who spent quite a bit of time together. What would be the result of it? Would they be friends or even closer than that? Why would they be closer than that? Were there any precursors to that happening? Why can’t they be just intimate friends?
Now if one of those characters was male, it would seem that the relationship is inevitable. You just have two characters who are bound to be lovers for the sake of being lovers, and nothing deeper than that. In other words, it would still be a poor romance. The only difference is that homosexual relationship would stir much more noise in the public.

First question that comes up is whether you use this build for pve or wvw.
Second question is what weapons do you intend to use.
Regardless, you’re ought to spend points into tactics’ shout traits and grab at least 2 shouts to fully utilize your rune set. Also, since you are spending points in tactics, it is highly useful to grab quick breathing trait and a warhorn for even more condi cleanse, blast, swiftness and other goodies.
Assuming you use this build for wvw, you’d better use knight’s gear with cavalier trinkets, since warrior can sacrifice extra vitality for extra damage. Or go cleric-ish, if all you want to do is to live forever.
