Just to bump this out of oblivion. Is there any news towards changes in scribing costs?
At least anything that can be shared if you don’t want to talk about it in detail yet.
I don’t think that there are details available yet, but I will be happy to ask the team to see if there’s anything to mention at the present time.
Yeah an under water world boss would be cool. He would need some sweet rewards to get the UW combat haters to try it.
So I was just playing tonight and suddenly everything got extremely laggy. To the point I couldn’t see anything in chat, general delay and disconnection.
After looking around for a while, I’ve noticed it’s only on Guild wars, the game is just extremely laggy. It’s not related to FPS either, just in case someone asks. I don’t understand, it already happened once, in the middle of the night like right now. That time I brushed it off like it was just an issue that would pass but a few days later, it’s happening again.
I vote for account name change as well
I also support this idea of Display Name Change. When I started playing Guild Wars 2, I chose a name from World of Warcraft, which was the game I most played back then and some other players from our community also joined to play GW2.
However, most of them have already quit or I never see them online at least, so I’d like to change my GW2 nickname to something more relevant or even something related to GW2 rather than WoW. (okay the name is a Finnish word, not exactly related to WoW either, but a character name).
Maybe limit the Display Name Change once per year or only once per account and if you want to change it again you must make a request to support for them to change it for you with a good reason. Blizzard allows a free Battle.net nickname change once across the whole service, Arenanet/NCSoft should consider the same option for GW2.
I along with many many other plays would really like to be able to change our display names.. I don’t see a problem with it or why why can’t at the time. (unless it reveals personal information). Games like World of warcraft allow this but only let you change it once so everyone isnt constantly changing their display name. If SOME people are allowed to do it, why isn’t this an option? Maybe have it show your old display name beside your changed one for a month after change so people get used to it and only have a one time change so people dont constantly change it. I made the mistake of just typing mine randomly when I created this account.. and I REALLY wish I could change it. Just something to think about.
EDIT: I’m NOT talking about Character names.. Im talking about ACCOUNT names.

Character name =/= display name. Name change contracts are useless here.
But I agree. I didn’t realize account names would be so visible when I created mine; I’d have used the character name I use in every game if I’d known otherwise. Even if they only let us change it once in the lifetime of our account, I would be ecstatic.
You can get to character selection, but you cannot enter the game due to a minute long loading and then saying that there is a network error.
It happened to me too. Still continuing. Can not log in. This dc’s and unable to login thingies getting out of hand, really.
i hear often that tailoring is one of the most expensive crafts. i would argue that it is the cheapest craft capable of reaching 500.
(0-500)
huntsman = ~ 162g
artificing = ~150g
weaponcrafting = ~ 132g
armorcrafting = ~ 69g
leatherworking = ~ 69g
tailoring = ~ 65g
I know its kinda late to hop on the “add this feature” train, but I’m new here and I really think this would be a nice addition to the game.
Concept: Guilds can upgrade their guild halls and build libraries to house member made books. To make it easier for Anet, there would be a limit to the number of books and they would only be available in the guild halls on book stands. Finished books wouldn’t be items and could only be viewed by the writer or by being placed in a guild library by consent of the Guild Leader. So for other players to read it they would need to be in the same guild.
Why: This opens a new door to creativity in the community and more functions for those who enjoy fan fiction and writing. Players could write stories of their guilds to share, or in game guides to help other players.

I would really like to see this. For those of us who want lore correct names it is nearly impossible to create sylvari or asura characters due to the fact every name is taken and this would finally allow people to do so. And no I wont simply use a title because I can’t take characters with titles seriously.
And just out of interest, which languages are we even talking about?
Russian, polish, swedish, danish, norwegian, finnish, dutch, italian, greek, portuguese ..
just as a few to start with
add more languages with new expansion thx
Here’s a thread you can check out: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/add-more-languages-with-new-expansion-thx/first#post5252663
