In the HoT personaly story mission Buried Insight, I am having trouble with the NPCs getting stuck after fights. The first time, I had made it to the point where you kill the veteran bug blocking the asura gate, when nothing would progress the quest further whether walking through the gate (which did nothing), walking up to the npcs, or finding a pit to die from falling and respawn. The second time I tried, I got stuck at the third of the power nodes, with the Taimi not moving on after the wave of enemies was defeated.

Even though I’ve purchased HoT, the Mist Champions Gymm & Nika reward tracks are still locked for me.

If you click on the locked icon on the Champion select panel you get the option to use gold to unlock a progress track to unlock the Champion. Unintuitive, but I don’t think it is a bug.

Mesmer Specialization Art

It’s also a pity, IMO, because mesmers already have off hand options for multiple builds, while main hand weapons are lacking – sword is mostly melee power, scepter is basically ranged conditions, and that’s it. You can’t use pistol, torch or focus properly if your build doesn’t fit one of those two. More main hand options would have been great. A pistol main hand for ranged power, for example.

This, so much this. (Though I suppose they might be narrowing down the preexisting viable off hand options if they go through with screwing over pistol by making its spec trait compete with Phantasmal Fury.)
A main hand shield would be exactly what is needed, they probably won’t do that.

Duelist's Discipline and Phantasmal Fury

Short Version: Duelist’s Discipline and Phantasmal Fury should not be in the same tier of the same line since both are vital to PvE phantasm builds.

Long Version: In the recent talking points announcement, the traits Phantasmal Fury and Duelist’s Discipline are currently planned to be in the same tier of the same trait line, which would prevent you from having both at once. The main reason for using Phantasmal Duelist (and therefore mesmer pistol as a whole) in PvE is the fact that its ranged attack lets it survive in fights where melee phantasms would die in one to two hits from the melee cleave of an elite or champion. However, Phantasmal Fury is also an essential component of shatter builds, since their main source of damage is phantasm attacks, and having those crit (either for critical damage or conditions) is a major part of that. Having Dueslist’s Discipline and Phantasmal Fury be mutually exclusive would then break up one of the core trait synergies in phantasm builds and force any phantasm build to either lose a constant 20% crit chance bonus to their main source of damage or lose range, damage, and recharge on pistols, either of which would be a substantial blow to the build.
Because of this, one of those traits should be changed to a different tier, preferably master but grandmaster would work as well since none of the other traits in the line are nearly as important to phantasm builds. (Or of course it could be made so that you can use higher level trait slots for lower level traits, but that is a whole other discussion.)

(For reference, my main in PvE is a mesmer with Scepter/Pistol and Sword/Focus which I enjoy quite a bit, but making it impossible to have both Duelist’s Discipline and Phantasmal Fury would force me to drop Sc/P for GS which is less suited for a PvE phantasm build for the reasons describes above.)

As a side note, would the mantra power boost effect phantasm damage? That would make up some for losing Discipline or Fury, though having Discipline and Fury would still be better.

I have had the same problem here. I have all five snowflake accessories which should be +10% boon duration, but skills have the same boon duration (both in the tooltip and the boon time when the skill is used) as with no accessories equipped.
