“How would you redesign the engineer?”, I wouldn’t. However, I would add a tesla kit, because tesla guns are amazeballs, and every steampunk engineer needs one. Oh, and I would re-do rifle, because it’s not very practical.
Oh, comon. You have to be really paranoid, or delusional, if you think any game company is vindictive enough to punish that one group of players that plays that one particular class. Grow up. You’re not a martyr for playing an engineer, and you’re never going to be.
I’ve recently come back to the game, and I’ve been having a blast on my engineer. I’ve caught up on all the Heart of Thorns and story content, which was challenging (in a fun way), but never very hard. I never felt like I was playing a class that was “broken”. I’ve worked out a fun build, pretty easily mind you, and I see many other ways to play as well.
Perhaps the class isn’t for you. Perhaps you need a more positive attitude.
I would quit playing if GW2 had a trinity.
I expect to pay whatever the game is worth. If it is an entire game’s worth of content, than I expect to pay the average price for a game. If it is an expansion’s worth of content, I expect to pay about the average for an expansion. What came before means NOTHING. Human beings are continuing to create additional content, and those human beings require payment for their time and services. I don’t expect them to work for a discount, or for free, and no one else should either.
I’m sure this would be entertaining to watch, but you’re contrast and gamma level editing is too painful on the eyes.
If you need some emotes and a pretty cape to feel accomplished then by all means push for it. I think being able to instantly make a character and get right into spvp is reward enough. Skins are cool, do I NEED them to enjoy pvp and feel rewarded? No.
Going to say exactly what I said in another post: spvp IS the reward. We finally have an mmo that puts scenario pvp into skill based rather than item based. The whole point of spvp is to do it because you like it. Doing it for rewards is a pve mindset.

loved it before the fractals and ascended. now, it’s a way to pass the time. there are still many good elements. sorry, but the new gear is mandatory in wvwvw. if you like to zerg, perhaps less critical.
And how is that? Are you saying that everyone’s skill in anything less than a zerg is so equal that the only deciding factor is whoever has the smallest increase in gear stats?
If you look closely at the negative outings of each player, everything involves player-versus-player in one way or another (i.e. the new ascended tier, unbalanced classes, technological issues in sPvP/WvWvW, and so forth). If you’re not seriously into that, and are more of a casual player enjoying PvE, dungeons and occasionally some PvP, this game might just be best game of the year. If you are more serious into the player-versus-player combat (which has been promoted without vertical progression, pure skill-based, engaging, and so forth) these issues become huge and can ruin your experience. Besides the obvious technical issues (culling), the rest boils down to the standard in MMO world; grinding and rolling the OP class.
About that… spvp is COMPLETELY skill based. Gear means absolutely nothing in WvW. In a zerg your gear will be irrelevant. In smaller skirmishes it will come down to class composition and again skill. Granted, a new character hopping into WvW will most likely get destroyed in small skirmishes. But a level 80, in any decent easily acquired gear will do just fine and his skill will make the ultimate difference. So that leaves bugs. Oh there will be bugs. If you come into this game expecting perfect polish like older mmos, than you will be dissapointed. I expect any mmo younger than two years not to be polished. If you wanna complain about bugs, go check out WAR. In terms of class balance as well, if you wanna complain go check out WAR. I played a shadow warrior for two years. THAT was inbalanced. Classes in this game have bugs (all of them) which take time to fix. But balance? They all have clearly defined roles, and when fixed, will all be viable.
If you’re not having fun doing it, then don’t do it! Dont understand why this has to be explained. If you don’t like doing fractals and are only doing it for rewards, then do something in-game with your time that is REWARDING.
So I was playing with my graphics and I accidently changed my refresh rate. Now the game goes black screen saying “unsupported mode”. I have NEVER come across any game made in god knows when that did not have a revert to original settings in x amount of seconds. Some stuff in this game is missing basic game design 101. Anyway how can I fix it.?

Motherboard is asus m2n-sli, graphics card and power supply are fine, both are brand new and power supply is 800 watts. Just wanted to know if I can fit am3 in my slot.
So I want to invest in a better cpu to increase my fps. This is not something I know a whole lot about, so I need advice. My motherboard is an ACPI x86-based pc. My current processor is a amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 4200+, which is a socket 2. I run vista 32 bit. What options do I have?
So I am relatively new to the game. I have played every class in both pve and pvp to get a taste of what they are like. What I have discovered is that I love the ranger in pve, but am terrible in pvp. I love the mesmer in pvp, but am terrible in pve. What I am trying to figure out is if it is viable to have a pve main, and a pvp main. Will I miss out on anything by only using my mesmer in tpvp and wvw, specifically wvw, and my ranger only in pve.
What mistymts is trying to say: I like the damage of the grenades on stationary targets, but Im not good enough to use them on the move.
