add a 3k karma jug to the laurel vendor on a 1 – 1 conversion. 1 laurel = 3k karma jug. i think thatd be an awesome idea
even under the 170% possible boost in karma thats only 5.1k karma per laurel and i think it would be a huge help to those who need karma but dont want to spend ages grinding for it doing WvW and world events in CS + world bosses.
it would be a pretty nice idea imo b/c karma trains suck and not everyone is allowed to commit the time every day required to build up significant karma amounts. im a month i make about 3k + daily on a work day, and on a non work day i can manage about 30 – 40k with only partial boosting. and then if i manage the monthly i get that as well. so to make the karma necissary to get say all the obby shards i need to make a legendary its going to take me over HALF A YEAR assuming im not burning my laurels on obby shards to help it along.
furthermore this would allow those with nothing else to spend their laurels on a way to convert it to something meaningful that they could then use to cash in on lockboxes or w/e
3k also happens to be a nice number because u cant then convert 1 laurel into 1 lockbox without using consumables
Anet fix your GD dungeon ASAp. there is no fun here and i would not be suprised if you lose more new players next week than u have since southsun cove and fractals.
this isnt a dungeon this is an excuse to make something harder. why cant you jsut sometimes learn to leave well enough alone?
P3 is dumb, P2 is a chore and a half, and p1 is d—n near impossible to clear the hodge defence for. the rest i imagine wouldnt be to bad but as it stands me and the rest of the 3rd largest guild on dragonbrand (uhoh) will not be doing AC anymore at least as a guild.
i seem to be unable to make purchases. i keeps saying that my credit card was not approved yet to test i made a purchase on steam with no issues i also made a purchase on amazon today with 0 problems. and have ALOT more credit than what would be required by my purchase (i’ve had it less than 10 days)
this is an official visa card i can provide details on request
I don’t know about warrior so much but there are a fair number of guardians that use hammer. My guardian uses hammer and mace and there are a couple of hammer builds for them.
1) altruistic hammer build
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/Guide-Hammer-and-Altruistic-Healing-gameplay
2) tanky hammer build
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/78632-unselfikittenanky-hammer-build/
Guardians who want to give hammer a try should look into these builds.
anyone who wants to not be creative with their character and stand apart from folks who like cookie-cutters should click those links.. you mean. and lets face it the hammer has never been a big seller in terms of community. after a couple of good generic build it ran aground and became dead for about 3 game expansions. why? because there wasn’t enough to bother experimenting either a lack of insentive to do so or a lack of tools to be creative with
eh i dont feel that this is necissary e idea. simply giving back to folks in ened does not justify the creation of a charity item for a video game.
all the great and successful attempts at this have been for good reasons that the game developer and community can feel for. otherwise your not going to appeal to the consumer beyond seeming like a charity case. so if i could i would demote your answer promotion to a 0 again
the 2h hammer is probably the most overlooked of weapon types amongst the heavy classes that can wield it. this is primarily because their are no attributes to benefit them at all really (directly anyway). this has resulted in basically every WvW, and PvE heavy class (guardian, warrior) favoring another weapon. they dont hit as fast as an axe, mace, or a sword, they dont have many benefitial attributes , and as a result of problem 2 they dont end up being as useful in these environments versus the greatsword.
i wish to bring to light some good solutions:
1) hammers are for smashing stuff give them a damage bonus vs doors in WvW, objects in general and make them deal bonus dmg vs unbuffed light armor wearers. hammers smash things its what they do. cloth wont be savin you from a blunt instrument. and since before we can remember the hammer has been the universal tool for breaking doors. it only makes sense
2) give hammers additional stats at lower levels. from 0-40 lets say that it has one more stat bonus off the bat versus the other heavy classes weapon options (single 1h or a dual wield) this would encourage more people to experiment with what is considered the most neglected weapon in guildwars’s franchise history at the lower levels and that would probably lead to more folks trying to make it work at higher levels
3) bring back ranger /w warhammer at some point. this was a very compelling combo in PvP and rampage as one would do wonders to compliment her awesome brute strength
4) more of an imo sort of thing rather than a general concensus thing but better skins/revised skins; beyond some select cases most of the hammers are rather boring looking whereas a majority of other weapons by far look better from level 0 all the way to 80.
5) add attributes. im placing this in my list of suggestions mostly just to appease those who have whined about this already. not because i feel this is the only way to improve it. as noted above id imagine a lot more folks would have a trusty mallet if even one of these changes took place
