I’m also getting lags spikes(4s freezes, seeing people move in the direction just before the freeze for 4seconds, as if I were disconnected for real) / permanent 2k-like delay on skills / teleport lags when moving.
This happens in heart of mists, and in like 40% tournament maps.
Sometimes nothing, sometimes it’s unbearable.
Usually between 7 & 10 CET.
Desolace server.
On other games like CS:GO & COD2, my ping is always low & constant /my connection is very stable (when playing on german servers too). So it has something to do with Anet. I’m not the only one having this issue.
PS: I dunno if it’s relevant, but seemingly only 1 team out of the 2 in tournament have players with lags. I heard so many times people from enemy team saying something like : “laaaag, this game is unplayable, kitten anet” when I didn’t lag. The other way around also; when me or my team had these lags, enemy team never lagged.
This is since last patch.

you know, for all this article says, the patch won’t come up until 2 years.
they prefer to fix urgent pve problem in this “competitive pvp game” first.
omg all those noobs who can’t play the game and /cry_wall-of-text about bunkers WOW.
noob player can’t land any skill / can’t burst and obv can’t kill a bunker and cries …
There’s a very big difference between scrubs / medium /really good players in this game. Just because you’re unable to land skills correcltly / never bother to duel bunkers doesn’t mean it’s unkillable, at all.

Since 4 days, I’m getting delays on skills/ teleporting when walking on maps in tournament. Not on everymap, on some maps it’s totally fluid then on the next map it can be unplayable.
These lags occur to me 30-50% time. After 6pm GTM, until 11pm.
So, what is it due to? I had 0 lags before. This is getting really annoyed; alongside with 0 changes in pvp / dying paid tour / dying game, now there are random lags? I’m not the only one to get them moreover.
Question is, can I /pray /quit_game or is there actually something that can be done on MY END ?
There’s one more thing you guys never mentionned, and which makes this elite really BAD, and unreliable in a burst situation.
The thing is, this skill isn’t even instantly activated. I mean, when you press the skill, you’ll get invulnerable for 3seconds AFTER a 1/4s DELAY PLUS YOUR LAG.
So it’s not even good as an emergency button it’s ridiculous
yea this elite is kinda weak, because who needs an immunity which can’t prevent say a burst when it starts, but just the middle and end of it?Moreover, the immune time after the burst is totally useless, ie 3seconds is not even really needed.
Example: only possible to negate partially a HB frenzy warrior with this elite when poping it when just when the warrior comes into range. Kinda useless.
This elite compared to other guardians elites, and other profession’s elite is poorly designed and really lackluster in my opinion.
I really like retaliation, it’s a huge reason why bunker guardians are such a threat.
I actually think that’s part of the problem. Bunker-builds (of any profession) shouldn’t have much in terms of offensive power. They should be able to stay alive long, keep enemies of the point and very slowly whittle their health down by superior play.
Retaliation destroys that concept, because it gives a lot of offensive power to a defensive build.

what I say is about tpvp.
Retaliation is like the only thing which hinders ppl from killing a guardian in 1v1. Without it, guardians would lose EVERY 1v1, in more or less (15s) time.
Why bring a class that can’t handle any 1v1? Every other class would be a better pointholder at that point, because having to send sb to help out the guardian everytime 1 ennemy is there is just bad.
Btw, water ele heal is WAY tankier than any guardian spec. They don’t have retaliation, so what makes them good bunkers? The insane healing output, which guardians don’t have like eles do.
Whatever, to come back to the initial topic, retaliation is what makes guardians, alonside with their tankiness, good bunkers.
yea as I said, I’m not sure if it’s lag or something, but this elite seems WAY less responsive than any “instant” cast spell. And the 3s-immunity is anti burst, I mean whats the point of having a delay on a anti burst skill seriously.
Put down time wrap win any teamfight, win game.

First of all, there’s a tooltip “bug”; it says 2seconds cast for 3s invulnerability, implying you could move & being invulnerable for 1second, but that never happens. Seems like it’s 3s cast & 3s invuln. It’s a detail though.
However, I think this skill isn’t “responsive” at all, and that’s in my opinion a big issue. I see it as an avoid-burst skill, but it doesn’t trigger instantly somehow. It’s more of a feeling than anything else but it’s very disturbing, and makes that skill even more useless…
Does anyone here have this impression of slow response time when you press the skill as well?

Movement speed decreased by 66%; skill cooldown increased by 66%; stacks duration.
So, after some testing, it’s obvious that (at least in spvp / tpvp) the CHILLED condition is totally bugged.
It slows the target for -66% movespeed oki so far.
However the 2nd part, namely increasing by 66% skill cooldowns doesn’t work whatsoever.
It doesn’t work when
- chill is applied before skill usage, such as the healing skill more specifically, and other warrior skills (yea I tested it with a warrior)
- no effect if I chill target when he uses a skill, be it a skill with incantation time like the healing signets or channeled skills like hundred blades
- no effect on reload of skills which are already on cooldown when chill is applied to target.
So yea, this is borderline gamebreaking to be honest.

thanks for the link, but be they bolt or aoe or whatever, they don’t work.
A lot of these aoe combo finishers don’t work by the way I believe

After a lot of testing, it is obvious than CLEANSING BOLTS from projectiles finishers in a light field don’t work; they don’t remove any conditions.
Moreover, the projectiles (be it from GS #3 skill or mace #3) go to random places.
All this makes this finisher utterly useless at the moment.
