Anet still shows no love for Chicago most updates I get this error
I have this problem every patch. The internet works fine, other games patch, drivers update fine, videos stream okay. It’s definitely not the internet. I can’t even update when we get a patch. The download speed slows to 0KB/sec and the client freezes. The repair client doesn’t work either.
The only thing I’ve been able to do is end task and restart the client for sometimes several hours and it will eventually patch piece by piece. I rarely make it to the login page of the launcher. I get stuck at initiating page.
Hi all,
Luckily, this isn’t a critical bug or anything,.
The norn cultural weapons are not scaling properly to the character model size when previewed from the karma vendors in Hoelbrak. They look smaller than they should on my norn. I checked to make sure that it is just them, and it is. I bought one of the tier 3 weapons and previewed it from my inventory; it scaled normally from there.
Checking “wielded” or “weapon only” fixes this issue, and then you can preview it stowed at the proper scale. Also this is only occurring when you pull up the Equipment Preview page. If that page is still pulled up, all the other weapons will scale.
[Edit]: This might actually happen every time I preview weapons on my character. (ex: when open the Hero page and going to wardrobe).
Okay, maybe there is something wrong with my game then because I don’t even see the pigeon animation when I send and receive mail. I double checked and yes the griffon is selected.
I am a big fan of the charr stories because they seem to have such a strong charr pride feeling to them. Which, to be honest, you seem to lose after a while of playing the game. It was something I very much enjoyed at first and am sad to see I have drifted so much from that race pride or profession pride I once had.
I wish living story had race-related side quests you could get from inside your home city. They wouldn’t have to be fancy or anything, just little things that took you to different places in Tyria and helped explain the lore or gave you something to do.
Hello friends,
Recently I purchased the Griffon Mail Carrier and was very surprised when I found out that the animation does not play for the player who purchased it. They only play when a player receives your mail. I guess I’m a little late to the party for only having just figured this out now, but nonetheless it’s still very disappointing.
Does anyone know if ANet ever intends to change this? I mean, what is the point in having one, besides them getting money, if you can’t even see it?
FIX THANKS TO KazualGamer.1294
- Stand Down guild.
- Leave a “random guild” where the chat is working (get reinvited afterwards)
- Represent the “bugged” guild
- Go invisible -> Online
- Try to speak in guild chat.Edit2: Follow those steps EXACTLY; tried winging steps on another guild and it did not work.
DO NOT DO THIS ON A GUILD YOU WANT TO REMAIN TALKING IN!!! It transferred the problem to the guild I left and had to rejoin.
I have no idea what to do either, but I am truly outraged that guild chat bugs have been going on for over a month and ANet still has yet to fix them. There is no excuse for the lack of care given to such critical game-altering bugs. I am about ready to move on to a different game if they can’t get this figured out. Getting ready for an expansion is no excuse because game makers are always getting ready for new content. It is heartbreaking and an insult that we are having to wait so long to get this fixed.
I just joined a wonderful new guild about a week ago and haven’t been able to even introduce myself yet. This bullkitten needs to get fixed right now.
Is your machine overheating? I’m not very techy, so that’s my only thought as to why.
Hey there and thanks for reading:
I know that since the megaserver update all PvE worlds get mashed together, but you still primarily end up in your home-server instance. I am on Tarnished Coast and experience a lot of lag. I have absolutely no lag issues with loading the game frames wise or anything like that. Just a lot of chat lag and skill lag and everything freezes and then suddenly catches up. There isn’t a game activity that makes it worse or better.
Would switching to a lower population server help this issue at all? Is there any specific reason this could be happening? Is this not Anet’s fault, but mine? help me plz ;-;
Bumping this up because I edited some of the information.
Thanks for the response! I’ll try that next time.
Hello,
I’m not sure if this is a hardware failure or a Guild Wars 2 software issue. Sometimes during Teq I crash and get an error message asking if I want to send a report to Anet. The problem starting occurring after the Sept 9 Feature Pack release and seems to be happening less frequently as time goes on. I do run in EotM sometimes and I don’t believe I’ve ever crashed in there since the patch. I could be wrong, though. lol
I guess the question here is: Is anyone else crashing during Teq since the big patch?
Thanks for reading!

Hello all!
Fractals Of Your Imagination [FOYI] is a relatively new guild from Tarnished Coast. Despite the name, we are not specifically a FotM guild, though we do love them. We are PvX, but lean heavily toward PvE; currently we run dungeons/fractals every night, and are more than willing to help new players through what we can. Most of our events run around 6:00pm-2:00am EST.
[FOYI] has no skill requirements. We consider ourselves to be a casual guild and encourage everyone with a positive attitude to join our fun. Representing is only mandatory when participating in guild events. That includes our daily dungeon runs. Our main goal is to have fun and make friends through out the Guild Wars 2 community.
If you have any questions or concerns or would like an invite feel free to send this account in-game mail.
Thanks for reading and have a good day!

Hello and thanks for reading. I apologize if this is a simple fix I am unaware of.
I started a guild with a friend of mine about a week ago and we’ve queued a few things for upgrades. They completed but the issue is that she can’t see the influence I add or the upgrades I’ve built and vice versa.
For example I built Politics 1 and Guild Emblem. When she checks it shows up as if it was never built, and she can’t edit our symbol at the guild registrar. The option doesn’t even come up. Likewise, it doesn’t show up that we have Architecture 1 built. It shows up like I could queue it again. We also see two different numbers for the influence we have. Which differs from what one of our members sees as well.
I tried changing us from the same exact rank to two ranks with all the same perms, but that didn’t seem to effect anything. I also tried tried leaving and rejoining, then kicking her and re-adding her. Nothing seems to fix the issue.
Hello all and thanks for reading.
I started a guild with a friend of mine a few days ago. We’ve queued up several upgrades (Politics 1, Guild Emblem, Architecture 1) and it seems that we can’t view the influence or upgrades that each other earns/initiates.
For example I queued Politics 1 and Guild Emblem. To her it looks like neither one of those were built and she can’t see the option to edit our guild’s emblem at the guild registrar. Similarly, it shows up that we never built Architecture 1 on my screen because she was the one who built that.
I’m really not sure what is going on o.o Does anyone know the issue?
Would it make sense to add in a third option to the pet’s play style options? Something where the pet would only attack an enemy you were actively attacking. It wouldn’t run out just because you aggroed something, but it would attack when you started attacking.
When I say poor play style I mean the class promotes sitting behind a pet to tank and pew pewing from the side or behind the pet. So because of that a lot of rangers never learn how to be effective with their class. Moreso the class being dependent on pets the player themselves without the pet is not as effective as a non pet class.
I agree with this because I can relate. Ranger was my first (and still favorite) profession to play. When I would try playing other professions I would die really fast. Being a ranger really doesn’t teach you how to dodge at all, or force you to learn that sometimes toughness is better than pure damage.
I guess the first thing I’ll state here is that I’m not an outstanding player filled with knowledge, so this is some what of legit question.
I understand that in general rangers are not well liked in PvE because pets can accidentally pull mobs, and I understand rangers are not liked well in WvW because opponents purposefully go right passed the pet and kill the then vulnerable ranger.
My question is fairly general, I suppose. Is there more to it than that? Is it something more complex than having a wonky pet? And whether it is or isn’t, are there ways to improve this?
We love making friends and we don’t bite! I promise lol <3
Hello friends,
I am having trouble finding solid builds that not out of date. I am thinking about using an axe/axe//longbow type build. I am kind of a newbie, but one thing I am finding is a lot of biased opinions with build guides and things.
Does anyone have any build advice or links to helpful websites? Please and thank you!
