Guild Wars 2

So I am considering making a warrior, however I know that they are about to get a balance in the upcoming patch. Is now still a good time to roll one? Or should I roll a guardian? I like to be tanky and dps! Ty for the advice!

I am stuck btwn guardian or necro. I want to do fractals wvw dungeons and spvp. So I want to do it all HAHA. Which profession would have more of a fun factor and be more useful? Any advice is appreciated.

I saw this thread on other forums and I didn’t find it on the ranger board. Maybe its because I didn’t look hard enough or because it doesn’t exist lol. But why do you play ranger and what keeps you with the profession?

Trying to find a class that I can do PvP and dungeons and fractals with. I’m stuck btwn nexro and engineer currently. Can someone give me some pros and con’s. Also I’ve been reading that engineers in groups ie dungeons and fractals are useless so I want to know if that is accurate also how are they at spvp. Ty in advance for the advice!

Hello all! New ele here. Love the class. But I have never really been successful at using keybinds, I have been a point and clicker. I would like some advice on good attunement keybinds and if anyone has advice on finger placement and where to practice using the keybins that could be helpful too. Thanks in advance!

Lol ty! Any advice for leveling up and tips for ele that you wish someone would have told you at the beginning?

I’m stuck trying to decide between elementalist or guardian. I like the survivability of guardian but the versatility of ele. My only concern with ele is everyone talks about the learning curve is extremely difficult. Can someone elaborate on that. Is it just switching btwn attunements or is it having to hotkey everything. Switching attunements I can handle… however hotkeys I’m not so good at, I could learn though. Guardian seems very basic….I mean extremely to the point of repetitive. It might just be that I haven’t leveled him up far enough yet. ( currently ele is 30 and guardian is 25). Thanks in advance for the help!

Anyone know of any s/d dungeon and or wvw builds! I like the potential for support and I also like helping out the dps of the group!

Norn looks fantastic in light armor! Plus they have tattoos! And if your into RP you can do a shamanistic type of character or a nomad type of character… but norn all the way!

Dagger is a fantastic weapon to use, one of my favorites. For dps focus is great because of the burst it has with the 4 skill. Also for pve, Legion has a great guide for necro DPS. Also as far as pvp goes just like Bhawb said, you can spvp now but WvW will be tough until you get your traits. Dont be afraid to experiment with builds either. And I already think your doing a great job getting out there and watching different videos and such. That tends to open the mind up a bit. (At least for me anyway)

@bellkb: There are very few builds that don’t use a staff, so you should probably narrow down your preferences a little more than “…not minions”.

I like either conditions or wells specifically. If a fear build works too I would be willing to try that out.

Coming back to guild wars 2 after a break and Im starting fresh. I know probably alot has changed class wise with the game and I was wondering about the current state of engineers. Specifically are they viable endgame, useful in fractals and dungeons, also how is their soloing capability? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Ive been wanting to create a thief but I heard that they are a pain to level in PVE. Is this true? Obviously there going to be a little squishy but some people make it seem impossible. Also what build and weapons would you suggest for leveling a thief in PVE, which traits to get first and what is a good build for sPvP?

Need help on a couple things. First off I’m new to gw2 and I love it and I’ve tried every class to level 10. In mmos however I like to make sure the class I decide to main isnt considered broken. And BTW I love the necro class so basically just curious to what I’m getting into. First off are necros desired in dungeons and fractals. Second how are they at soloing. So I’m fairly new to gw2 and I love it. My only problem is finding a class and sticking with it. I’ve tried just about every class to level 10 and I have to say the thief is one of my favorites; however, when deciding on a main for any mmo I take several things into account but because I am new I’m not sure if the thief will fit this which is why I’m asking the thief community for input.
