Can confirm, this just happened to me as well. I’m still in the instance, nothing I do is making it progress. Seems a mission restart is the only fix currently.

Already using Defiant Stance. ArenaNet should change the “stance” part of the name though because stances do not have cast times as far as I know.

I have gotten one while playing the Bell Choir. It showed up as any other chest above the mini-map after completing a song. After clicking on the chest I received the bell instead of the gift. Hope this helps.

“Birthday Gifts!
As characters created right at the launch of Guild Wars 2 hit their first birthdays, it’s time to introduce our first Birthday Gift! Characters that are one year old will receive a Mini Queen Jennah, a 24-hour Birthday Booster, and a Scroll of Experience.”

This happens whenever one of your characters is a year old. You don’t miss out on anything unless you delete that character before he’s turned a year old. If you created a character 6 months ago, you simply just need to wait 6 more months to get the gift.
It isn’t any more complicated than that.

The way I see it, Magic Find should be shared with the party once you party up. It should take the average MF number of all party members and use that as a party MF. This way everyone gets the same benefits without being penalized too much.

My workaround for this was to set a Double Click macro on my mouse that once toggled it would continually double click until I pressed the button again. Took about an hour for Thirst Slayer and I barely clicked at all.
