Without giving any spoilers away, outside of obviously different story lines are there any benefits when choosing between Order or Whispers, Durmand Priory, or The Vigil?

I have been following Whispers on my Necromancer and have enjoyed it so far (albeit Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw seems to be a little out in left field at times).

Guess just wondering what I may or may not be missing. Guess that’s why they give us the chance to roll alts (totally planning to follow other paths for other toons)

Agreed, no real need to change it. I remember they had this feature in Rift for a while where you had a scorecard showing your rating during each phase of the dynamic rifts.

However (someone correct me if I’m wrong), they removed the scorecard. Probably for similar reasons that people were using it solely for justification.

I like that I can approach quest and events from different methods from others. Since each person’s play style is unique there shouldn’t be a universal scorecard. Leave that stuff in WoW and other MMOs. Case in point, raiding in WoW used to be fun until it was reduced to a Gear Score and “My DPS is better than yours”.

It should be about skill, fun not number counting. A set number does not equal skill. Given enough time, any monkey can "earn enough points, marks, trophies (or insert your favorite “counter”) for “X, Y, or Z” gear.

I have been using Dagger/Warhorn and Scepter/Dagger for my two weapon slots. I have found it nice to swap between the two as S/D gives a bit of extra AoE for me for when my Wells are on Cooldown. (plus provides ranged capabilities as a fight opener)

I am then able to swap back to D/W for single target damage or Life Stealing abilities should I need a little bit of health.

I tried playing with the staff, but found mobility lacking in comparison to the weapon combos listed above.

For now they are. They’ve posted information on their Twitter Feed saying that once they’re happy with performance load in the Forums that they’ll expand them to other subjects.

No idea if that means they’ll open the flood gates….and we’ve then got a Forum Free-for-All or ANet will open up categories at a time.
