Hi all ! I have bought this game off the official site from Anet. After being charged (Anet took the money, transfer completed successfully and completely) I got banned and accused to have a fraudulent purchase. Now I’ve been banned for over a week and I got this response :

Hello,I apologize for the delay in our response; we have an unusually high ticket volume which we are working through as quickly as possible.
This Guild Wars 2 game account has been permanently closed. The attempted purchase of the Guild Wars 2 Serial Code used to create this account was voided as the transaction was found to be fraudulent in nature.
In addition to the permanent closure of the game account, the credit or debit card used in the transaction has been permanently blocked in our system. There is no option to have this account reopened or to have the block removed from the game account.
If you wish to access the Guild Wars 2 service going forward, you will need to purchase a serial code from another authorized retailer. A list of authorized retailers can be found here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers#UnitedStates-physical.
There is no further assistance we can provide for this issue.

NCsoft Payment ReviewIn other words. ArenaNet took my money , then banned my account claiming the key is fraudulent while it was directly off their site (And I showed them evidence that it was bought from their site with their own ordernumber and everything) and they tell me to buy another copy of the game from ANOTHER authorized retailer. <- mark the word another. Not just an< but ANOTHER. Meaning my key was already bought from an authorized retailer, yet I have to buy another key from ANOTHER authorized retailer.
This is getting so hopeless…
I got the same message… What can we do ? How can I sue them or hack their servers or spread this information all over web, facebook, twitter, all the mmorpg sites… Need to contact with IGN,Gamespot or anything as we move as one, with proofs… We have been laid off by NCSoft !

So I am feeling my anger overwhelm me here, and that is never a good thing.
So everyone who is having these. What other games you play? It is time to start looking at a new game, I have d3, sc2, but I can reactivate my wow, starwars, and eve accounts.
I could jump into GW1 but I am so mad at NCSoft I do not want to even think about that one..Anyways If yall are up for it we can form a NCSfoft Botters guild somewhere.
Ideas?
I just looked over the games even the shooters… they all making me tired after I play or not so lively in mmo’s. Also don’t want to pay monthly subscription because I will be bored however… Like SWTOR?..

I would like to look into the few cases where you, personally purchased the game from buy.guildwars2.com and then experienced an account closure.
I don’t want to hear from those who bought from a third party who claims to have purchased from our site. I don’t need to hear from people who did a charge-back or asked for a refund. I would very much like to hear from someone who bought the game from buy.guildwars2.com using a legitimate credit card and then found his/her account terminated.
- Please indicate the date you purchased the game.
- Please confirm that you personally purchased from the buy.guildwars2.com site (not through a partner, not through a third-party).
- Please check your credit card statement and verify if you were or were not charged for the game.
- Please note if the charge on you CC statement is a completed charge, or is “pending.”

Dude relax, he was trying to investigate the issue at that moment and he was right about writing `official store only`, cause people are not easy to communicate in here. However, still I bought the game official store yet I’m in a position in worst then ‘bad third party seller’.

This code was directly bought from your site by my bf , we started playing this game together and I have the confirmation email and everything if needed. He did not use a stolen credit card or file a chargeback. In fact everything was purchased legally and at the same time. I really don’t think you’ll be “stealing a credit card” in the Navy. I’d very much like to know how ArenaNet figures out that a creditcard is “stolen” no reports about it have been made whatsoever because the card was never stolen , it’s his own card..
What he payed for the account is price stated on your website because it was directly purchased from there. To be exact the email says $59.99. Not more, not less. This case can in no way be a fraud unless your own site is “fraudulent”. My “seller” is your website. I’ll update my ticket with additional information. But when I asked for elaboration on the case the GM Copy-pasted his last message. I very much hope the response will actually be read.
That’s very valuable information to have, and thank you for those details. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is some issue between the bank and our system that caused this. Thank you for your continued patience — I know this is frustrating, particularly since you did not commit fraud.
I should note that when I write “fraud” in my line items, I don’t mean “You are a fraudster!” I mean that there is a mark of fraud somewhere in the system: us, the bank, a third-party — the issue is flagged as fraud but we’re not making accusations, just getting the issue to the proper team for review.
Alright thank you for your time and elaboration, it’s good to finally get some responses and answers on short notice instead of waiting as long
. It is quite frustrating to first wait several days for support and then basically being told that I’m permanently banned and have to buy a new account, while everything was perfectly legit and cost quite a lot of money.
I’m in same situation as you. I responded the support team in e-mail which they said account closed… Please inform us when you have any update…

Good news, they must be working weekends, my ticket number was 121109-000560 and I was restored today. When I logged in I had mail from a gold farmer and they were spamming the chat boards non stop in lions arch. I personally think what may have happened is [out on a limb] hackers may have compromised a large number of passwords and the teams quarantined as many of those accounts as possible. That may or may not be correct, but it makes more sense than being banned for botting when you are innocent. Be patient folks, it seems like they are trying hard despite the fact you can’t see that. I was out for just over two days, and it was a sad time for me. I’m going to have to look into get that authenticater today when I get back on. God Speed Tyrians

Aaaand they began to burry the ban topics and censoring people. “Ban counter” closed. “Why my account is suspended” closed. Many msg disapeared.
Yes, this is their first priority right now, closing topics related to innocent bans. Nothing better to do.
Well if we all open a topic then there will be hundreds of similar dead topics around. It will help no one because we have unresolved hundreds of tickets already.

This forum has been up for 23 days, and of the 22 pages 12 of them are from the last three days alone. I feel like there may be issues going on here not being openly expressed by Anet.
Yep I think it’s true, but also I’m confused, because people are still being banned for few hours of gameplay for example. Or a similar non logical way… This means that the issue stand stills but looks like the damage can’t be simply undone also, so the support team must do this one by one…
I just feel, non-secure… if I get back into game, and if there’s no official announcement made by Anet then, I will feel non-secured and probably won’t pay or play the game because of this. I’m sure many of others will feel like this.

I have a digital purchased version that I pre-ordered from the site before beta.
Anyone know how to find the serial key for it unless I need it?
When I pre-ordered in site it just automatically let me download and authenticate.
As far as I know you don’t have any serial number. Also not sure how to prove that you have own your copy as digitally serialized by somehow. Maybe purchase number and your e-mail.

So within 4hrs approx 700+ tickets have been made inbetween my tickets. This is a serious problem and it just seems to be growing even bigger by the minute.
if it’s true that 4hours/700 ticket, approx 4000+ tickets in a day…
it’s possible that they have around 20k unsolved tickets in their queue created in the last week only. And I guess they don’t work at weekends ?

We all need to see something `BIG sorry message` at front page of GW2 main site.
I don’t know who is spamming his ban button,
and don’t know who is reviewing them
and also don’t know who is their supervisor if there is one…
Who is responsible of thousands of people banned in a night after night without any reason, any evidence, any warning, any explanation.
Code : 45:6:3:2114 what is this ?? Do I have to know what is that mean if I signed your user agreement ? What is `an account issue` means.
And we all deserve better explanation, why is this happening. Then you can review your billions of tickets how you like to do… Telling you, I bought the game from your official site, I played the game a night or two. THEN I’m suspended.
Not even 1 word from support….. Why is this taking so long to review 10 hours of my total gameplay time made you wait like 72 hours ??? If it was a movie of my gameplay, then its over already about 60 hours ago.

As far as I can tell I have been banned for playing Guild Wars 2 I have never tried to stay in the game for an extended time I have only played the game with keyboard and mouse, neither of which is programmable. I have not used any macros or any programs other than the launcher. I was playing the game and my screen turned white and I received an error code 45:5:1:779:101. So i restarted my system and attempted to play I was told that i was banned for botting or violating the terms of service. I reported this to support and was given a support login separate from my account login. but I still cant play this is day 3. There has been no response from support. I can only assume that my playing guild wars 2 with my family has ended. I will not be investing any more time or money in guild wars 2. It irks me that I reported real bots that continued playing and I get banned permanently for something i did not do and I abhor.

Same here too. So I was almost sure that the patch or the game itself triggered a bug at the time (but my screen went to black), and I was sure that the game developers will surely aware of the problem (which I still want to believe) that many people will be reported with false-positive status. But I didn’t know that they care too much about bots, gold selling, or make bans without a reason… Also it looks like there are already too many fraud and illegality happens around the game. Since it’s highly popular.

Hey guys, thought I would post about my ban for some reassurance. I was banned for botting, macros etc. I was banned on Monday afternoon and my ban was lifted on Wednesday afternoon. I received an email from GM Lloyd stating my account was banned in error and has been re-instated. When I got home that day I was able to log into my account.
If you’ve been banned wrongly it will be resolved

What would happen if you won’t open a ticket ? Your account will be banned forever by
‘mistake’. They make accounts disappear by ‘mistake’…. How on earth I can be sure it’s a ‘mistake’ or intentional… I can’t. It’s not only you, if it was only a few people, I can accept ‘mistake’.
We all have to do open tickets of many and wait in long queue…

After I bought the game from buy.guildwars2.com 3 days ago, I got “suspended/an account issue” last night… I’m also thinking of refunding the game too cause lastly I remember,
I paid 59$, I’m suspended for no reason (?), and I have to wait maybe 5-10 days to learn why I’m suspended… So I paid 59$ for being suspended for 5-10 days.
So you made the “judgement” over me and put suspend status to my account, But What if you are wrong, you will remove the suspend status and you will say you made a mistake. But you just took 5-10 days of using right of the product by force which I bought totally legal, by your site and there you just made an upset customer.
