Just poking my head in after almost a year away – did the AI for minions get fixed so they are actually useful now? When I bailed they would stand in one place and hit air half the time….
I love crafting and being self-sufficient, but also want to be practical and realize that leveling / gear drops go so fast in the early levels in most games that crafting early for gear isn’t usually worth it.
I plan to get the crafting certificate for 3 crafts per char (unless there’s something better to spend the 800 gems on for my first char?), then my warrior will be my first char to level / craft and focus on Armorsmithing, Weaponsmithing, and Jewler
Around what level range will leveling and loot drops slow enough to make crafting my own gear worthwhile?

Looking around I see several builds that recommend using GS for leveling / farming (http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_The_Gatherer, http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_PvE_Chuck_Norris) , but I have also found several guides that recommend Axe / Mace (http://intothemists.com/guides/1441-simple_warrior_leveling_guide, http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Dual-Axe/GS_Farmer), are either of these weapons equally useful for leveling a new character, or is there an aspect of using one or the other that I am missing 9especially for lower levels)?
Does jump shot help with jumping puzzles?
I tried to Google search and the most recent thread I could find was from 2013 and appeared to be centered around a traits issue (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/engineer/Jump-shot-doesn-t-jump-anymore/first#post2302761)

Quick question – is there a particular level where it is more viable to switch to this build from the GS signet build?
If not, and leveling under this build is effective early on, what traits should be prioritized?
